Why bother you can have up to 4 roms going at the same time in SS 3.05. In essence you can quad boot.
Sent from my BNTV250A using xda app-developers app
I believe that boot manager is not compatible with the Bionic due to the locked bootloader.
Theoretically they could modify it to have safestrap auto-flash something at bootup (or modify the safestrap config file), but all those solutions would still require Safestrap, and anyway they haven't.
Thought since it was for the RAZR with ICS (which by the way has a locked bootloader) it might work on the Bionic! I just went with SS! It works fine! Thanks!

I just did the stupidest thing. I was cleaning up my sd card for more space when I went to my safe strap folder and just decided to delete the whole folder now I realized the second I did that I don't have an unsafe system to flash to. I'm on 5.7.906. What do I do!!??

Do a backup of your safe and flash a nonsafe.

I had trouble finding Droid 3 Bootstraper also. I have upped it to depositfiles. It's the only version I had saved (I believe it is ver 1.0.0.5), and I'm not sure if there are newer versions than this.

You must be rooted to be able to Safestrap. I haven't gone through the Razr JB upgrade threads but I hope Rootkeeper works becuse I would not want to wait for a root method to be discovered.

To be on the safe side I would root then use OTA Rootkeeper, you may have to wait a while to get root and it will drive you crazy.
Did that on my tablet updating from ics to jb and install kept failing. Ill safely update then work on root myself. Rest assured all goes well and someone doesnt beat me too it i will be posting.

When using vodoo... does one have to simply click protect root and then update or is there more to it...
Sent from my DROID4 using xda app-developers app
To successfully maintain root and install the OTA do the following
Root Phone
Install VooDoo OTA RootKeeper
Update SuperUser binaries (from within the SU app
Open VooDoo and "Protect Root"
Then tap on "Temp Unroot"
Install OTA
Install VooDoo
Restore root
So... I forgot to do all this... I hope there is a root for jb coming soon still have su just no root...

don't use safe strap. unlock the bootloader, flash a real rom. change the boot logo to the stock one and noone will ever know you that you unlocked it.
Which would you suggest? I do have unlocked boot loader currently.

Well you don't use safe strap with am unlocked bootloader. Get cwm.

Just download the cwm file and place it in fast boot folder or platform tools if you have SDK.. Open command window there by presssing shift key and right clicking simultaneously... Type the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery_name.img". Replace the name of your recovery To recovery_name... Then "fastboot reboot"

any solutions? i searched google but no luck...
Since it is built in. You may just have to move it and reboot. Option 2 would be install system apps installer from the market and try it. Option 3, flash a ota or whatnot lol.

I modified the boot animation modded/ created here http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/-t2697912 to fit our resolution.
I really like it so I thought I would share with everyone else. Thanks to sgosiaco for allowing me to modify it and share it. This is not a flashable zip, you need to install it with a root file manager.
Edit: I fixed the zip so it should work now.

I already used this one on my AHD about 1 month ago and love it too but mine dont have the text at the bottom and I think it's more beautiful
Yea this one has the powered by android in it that's what I was looking for. Resolution was so high I couldn't see it so I reformatted the images to work with smaller screens.
Edit: I modified the subject to include the change to the animation.
But WHY THE RUM??!!!
Is not a flashable zip or am I missing something? Tried flashing in recovery. Did not work.

Not sure why, it works great for me. I've flashed a few roms since making this and I drop it in system/media replacing the one from the rom and it works. I usually forget to change permissions. Did you remeber to rename it to bootanimation.zip? I put a name in front of all the boot animations I use to remember which one is which.
