Seidio cases for note 2 - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Looks like Seidio is going to pump out some note 2 cases. The landing page is live http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2-s/8463.htm
My favorite case by far. Glad to hear they decided to make them for the N2

How is Seidio fit and finish for our phones currently? I'm digging the Surface with metal kickstand, and I know I will put it to good use.

Case-Mate Tough or similar case?

Hey guys,
Is there any words on Case-Mate Tough for Galaxy Note 2? Or any other similar cases out there?
Thanks!

Try searching hybrid case or dual layer case on ebay. There are a few. At the moment there is the active case from Seidio as well if you're willing to pay a higher price but it's also a lot more expensive than something off ebay.

I would not recommend the active case from Seidio. Its a beautiful case that matches my White Note 2 but the silicone is a bit loose around the sides. Could have been a bit tighter around the phone. Also, the silicone has this awful smell to it. But that is not a prob. Only if it was tighter around the phone, would have been a perfect case. My next try is the otterbox. The silicone always had a secure tight grip with my old phone.

I've been asking Case Mate about this as well. The Tough case was my absolute favorite on my Intl S2. They can't provide an ETA or any info. But the rep did say that usually the Tough Case is usually the next to be produced after the Barely There case. That's already out. So it's just a matter of time, I suppose before the N2 Tough case it out.

What a shame. I had it for the original Note and it was fantastic! Let downs ....
I'm still waiting for the Pixel HD case from Speck!

are there any armbands that fit the otterbox defender case?

I just got some bluetooth headphones for my note 2. i have an otterbox defender case and i was wondering if there are any armbands that fit the note 2 with a defender case. thanks!
Fwiw, at the gym I just put mine in my shorts pocket. If you're running outdoors I'm not sure what to recommend. That's a giant armband if one does exist.

They do exist.. Arkon has a nice one.
I received it two weeks ago and don't care for it much. Main reason being Branch chain amino acids are in my pre-workout and make my skin itch.. So having the band around my arm is hell.
Strength training/HIT workouts are good... Cardio is difficult because I have to stop every 0.2 miles to adjust it. Pockets may just be easier.
Anyways, op's question: the Arkon is tight with a slim case.. And I haven't seen one large enough for defender. You may be able to mod one with some sewing skills.
Aarkon will not work with Defender or anything thicker than TPU case. I did full review of that armband in another forum: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2/662686-my-review-arkon-sport-armband-note-2-a.html

You said in another thread (I don't have the link, it may have been on androidforums) that you were able to stuff the UAG into the Arkon holder, but it was tight...is it so tight as to be unusable? I'm actually looking at getting both for my Note 2, and it would be nice if I didn't have to remove the UAG.
Otherwise, is the UAG tough to remove?
Thanks!

No, its relatively easy to remove; pretty much how you would remove any generic TPU case of sorts.
Still would be a hassle to remove it just to put it in an armband, because then you'd need to find a place to store the UAG in the meantime.
That and if something were to happen, i.e, phone pops out, or you stack it, then the phone is less protected.

Best Protective Case for the Note 2?

After searching the threads and being horrified by pictures of smashed screens, I don't think I will take my Note 2 out until I get a protective case! It recently arrived and being so used to my HTC phone which I have dropped many times and has survived falling from my lap as I get out of the car, flying out of my bag and so on, I don't think I can take this risk at all with the Note 2. A little scared it is so fragile but I am wondering if those who have had the phone for much longer have found the best way to protect the phone. I guess the days of walking down the street checking my messages are over for now (plus being afraid someone will take it from me!).
I don't mind flipcases (especially as it covers the front) but most of the cases I have seen so far only cover the back but this doesn't protect the screen, so looking for something that will protect it all round.
I had been sporting a naked note 2 until a couple days ago, but after it slipped out of my pocket while I opened the door of a moving car going 15mph (only resulting some chips on a few of the corners thank god haha) I had to get a case. I read lots of reviews and decided to get the black UAG case and I love it. I like the way the phone feels in my hand with it and it feels very protected. There are cases that are more protective but they add more bulk, this doesn't mean that the UAG won't protective because to me this thing still feels like fort Knox in my hand with it hah

Wow a lot of reviews, thank you for that.
I guess I wanted extra protection for the front (when not in use) so the UAG is on hold. Went for the cheap flipcase in stead.
I have been using the Otterbox Defender for a couple of months and love it. Since I have dropped and had to replace two phones, I need the heavy duty protection. It's got a built in screen protector that covers the screen like a window. I like the fact that it makes the phone bulky, easier to hold.
Otterbox
I didn't want to give in to the Otterbox. But after I dropped my Note and scratching the S Pen, I did. I absolutely love it and it's by far the best case I've ever had. I even got one for my daughter's RAZR. She loves it also.
I've had my phone for a few days now and have really got used to the feel of it (light and smooth) but I know I shouldn't risk it. I don't really like the look of the bulky cases, and since I am a girl I want something more girly I guess, but I've gone ahead and ordered a cheap flipcase that was reviewed on this forum. Will see how that one goes for now and will upgrade as I find something for me.

I swear by the uag cases. I've dropped my phone down concrete stairs while it's (thankfully) been in a uag and there was not a single scratch to be seen as a result of the experience. The Otterbox is just too cumbersome especially if you are like me and often switch out the batteries.

I have the Otterbox, which I absolutely love, but it feels like the size of the phone doubles when I have it on my phone. I found another case manufactured by Seidio. It's the Seidio KONVERT combo and it has a hard outer case that goes on the phone and another rubber case that covers the hard case and is braced by a skeleton type covering. It sounds like it would be bigger than the OtterBox, but it actually isn't. THe phone looks and feels slimmer and it looks more elegant, where the OtterBox gives the phone a more ruggedized look. As far as protection, I am deployed and have dropped my phone a couple times and I haven't had any issues with it at all. Plus, you can take the rubber outer shell off and still have an good-looking inner case as well. Highly recommend it, as well as the OtterBox.

looking for a slim case with kickstand.

hey there guys I'm looking for a case for my samsung Verizon Galaxy Note 2. looking for one that fits the stock battery as well as one that fits the extended battery.trying to find with a kickstand is proving difficult.I don't want a folio or one that closes like a book I want that had the screen open all the time. also need it to be able to go in and out of my pocket easy without catching, smooth if you will but still has some grip. a tall order I know I've looked quite a bit any help is much appreciated.
The seidio surface looks like the thinnest case with a kickstand but I'm just judging by looking online.
You could look into the flygrip too. I have it and it's actually a lot thinner then I thought it would be. I love it, it makes one handed operation so much easier and it doubles as a kickstand you can use in portrait or landscape. Plus you can attach it to any case.

So far this is the thinnest case I've seen with a kick stand. A member posted this case on "Post a picture of your case along with your Note 2" thread. He said that he bought it from China. I've been looking for this case online but can't seem to find it anywhere.
that looks pretty good I'll go check into that one thanks

+1 for the Seidio surface case. Good protection, hardly adds any bulk at all, and it does have a kickstand. I usually use the active cases on my phones, but the note 2 being as big as it is, I didn't want to add that much bulk. So far very happy with the surface case. (And I've dropped it a few times, holds up very well.)
Another vote for the surface. I love the look and feel of mine. The only thing to note is that it may push up your screen protector if you have one. I had to trim mine with an exacto knife before I applied it once the surface was on. Now I'm looking at the vitreo as a new surface protector as that'll fit with the surface as is.
I ordered this case. Will let you know how it is.

I am using this case now. It is good, but too slippery and the kickstand is wearing quickly (starting to fall out of the case occasionally). But not too bulky, and decent protection..

I have that exact case too. After a while the kickstand did start to fall out of the case but i found out it was because the tiny (and I mean tiny) bump that they consider a latch had broken off. So I just dabbed a little super glue and it fits just fine.
It does get a little slippery at times, but I like that the kickstand is pretty sturdy on portrait mode. You don't often see a kickstand that is sturdy and doesn't topple the phone when you press on it.

I have found the snap tail case to be the thinnest kickstand case that will stand the Note up in both vertical and horizontal.

Agreed. Before getting the ZL battery, I tried a couple of kickstand cases and the thinner cases have thin kickstands.

I purchased the Seidio case with the kickstand. I've used their cases for quite some time simply because they have such a low profile and it's easy to remove the battery. My wife has the Otterbox on her Note II, but only because she doesn't know how to hold on to her device and has already shattered one Note II. The protection you get from the Otterbox is nice, but I really prefer the smaller footprint of the Seidio. Also, the kickstand works terrific.

I have the Sedio Surface case and I liked the kickstand on that a lot, but I did have one gripe. After having to take out my battery a few times I noticed the case didn't stay together very well. Sometimes the case would actually come apart in my pocket when I went to grab it from my pocket. I did find sticking some thin paper between the case and the phone helped with it coming apart often though. If you don't find yourself taking off your case a lot it might be a good case.

Seidio S3 holster fits the G2

I still have my Seidio case for a Samsung S3 and popped my Verizon G2 in it just to see how it fit. It works. Works well! The latch snaps over the top and securely holds it in place. I shook it hard (above a pillow) to try and make it come out. No go. It did not seem to fit near as well with the screen facing out though. Screen inside and it fits. Very nice re-purposed holster!
Finally - sorry for the delay - got around to taking better photos :
Which holster is this? Seidio lists many for the S3. Thanks!
Do you think it will fit with any type of case on it?
Awesome! I am dead set on the Seidio holster, but who knows if they are ever going to release one for the Verizon G2. Pretty stoked about this revelation!
So is that the holster for the surface case or the naked device.

Could you please post more pictures of the fitment? I have a Diztronic case, which is pretty thin and I'm curious how much room there is and whether it might actually fit. I can confirm that the Verizon kickstand case & holster combo's holster fits the G2 perfectly when you've got a Diztronic case on it. It's a little tight, but I imagine it'll loosen up over time.
