No, its much larger then the Note 2.
Here is a comparison for all three since I have them..
In size order: Galaxy Note 2 < Galaxy Note 10.1 < Samsung Pen w/ Eraser
How about this one?

Check this s pen features on the website, in the easy storage bold.
One more thing. How does the pen with eraser work compare to the stock on Note 2?
Smoother, easier?

Thanks for the pics. They certainly clarified the misinformation from Samsung's website regarding this "Durable, plastic body storable and concealed inside of the Galaxy Note II handset" according to the features section in their website.
What is the difference between that one and this one on ebay?

THey are both s pen with eraser but I notice the button on both of the pens are different. The one on samsung website has a dot on its button while the one on ebay doesn't. They are both clarified as 8pi. Anybody know what does that mean? The stock pen on note 2 is 5pi I think

No idea what 5/8pi mean. I've used Wacom tablets for years and I've never heard any statistic quoted as Xpi.
As far as the difference I've been trying to figure that out as well. I think it may just come down to marketing; if you search for "s pen with eraser" on Amazon one of the first couple results is the same one seen at those eBay sellers, except the item description includes a box shot. On there you can see that the pen is clearly branded as for the Note 10.1, while the one on Samsung's store is branded for the Note II. My guess is that they originally developed the eraser pen for the 10.1, never launched it outside a few countries, and then redesigned the looks slightly for the Note II.
Someone would need to test both of them but I'd strongly suspect that they're functionally identical. On top of that, there's this: (http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/laptops-accessories/AA-DP0NE2B/US which I believe is the pen for the Samsung Series 7 Slate. Looks extremely similar, and on Amazon I see that most of the reviews are from people who purchased it to use with the 10.1.

Has anyone purchased this stylus? It's 3mm thick at the tip, which is really fine. The reviews are very mixed. I'm curious how it would work on the nexus?

I've got several nice styli, but they are all typical "fat finger". I've decided to buy this one to see if the 3mm tip makes a good difference. It obviously will work, just curious how well it does. I'll report back when I get the N10 and the stylus.

I have a S3 so already have the S pen, and the only device it works with is the S3...
None of the tablets I've tried work with it as it needs a high resolution digitizer.
So don't buy one for the Nexus 10, as it won't work properly.

C Pen doesn't work with the Nexus 10
Hey so I have the Galaxy S3, the C Pen and the Nexus 10. The C Pen doesn't really work on the Nexus 10. It will at times if you press hard, but it's quite obvious it wasn't made for it. The C Pen does work on other Samsung phones like the Galaxy Nexus that I've tested it on without a problem, but the screen has to be made for it. Although the S Pen is the most accurate pen on the Notes, after that the C Pen is by far better than every other stylus in the market. So it was a shame when it didn't work on the Nexus 10. Sorry the best you can get is something like the Bamboo Stylus or the Jot series

Damn, that sucks. Eh, I'll just give it to the wife, she has an s3. The digitizer sensors are probably spread more apart on most tablets. What a shame. Guess the Note series is the best in that department.

I just received the s-pen in the mail. Beautiful build quality. Definitely does not work on the N10. I also tried it on my HTC 'rezound, HTC rhyme, hp touchpad, and fuhu nabi 2, didn't work at all. It does work great on the galaxy s3 and older fascinate....? Wonder why.

It works because of the digitizer they use for those phones. Here is a general idea of the tech behind the s-pen.

Which the best replacement? Where could i find it? And in marble white?
I'm also looking for a replacement S-pen that is heavier than OEM. The OEM pen is just too light that I kept dropping it...
Does anybody make one that's heavier than stock?
Thanks.
I know the note 10.1's spen is more full bodied and easier to hold. If only someone could confirm the compatibility on the note 2. But that would definitely solve your problem.

Now that I think about it, it'll be great to have a full size S-pen that's longer, heavier and more sturdy. I will just carry it like a regular pen in my shirt/pen pocket and take it out to write on the Note 2 when I need to...
I use one from my thinkpad it even has a eraser they go on Amazon for 15-35 dollars any wacom pen will do

Only bad thing is, to use the spen functions on the Note 2 you have allways to remove Spen from Note 2...!
I am using the full-sized S-pen from Samsung. It works perfectly and fits well, feel like a regular pen.
Hi,
I'm using the Samsung HM5100 Bluetooth S-Pen.
It comes in (only) marble white;
It is the size and weight of a real quality pen (a tick taller than my Note II);
It provides a smooth writing experience; and
It is a bluetooth "headset"! (user can answer calls, talk/hear)

Personally I don't need a larger battery or a glass back. I do need my removable batter and micro SD slot.
Samsung is just trying to pad it's bottom line now. They're not selling like they used to do to with their premium prices. Now they're trying to make it up by changing premium prices for memory. Too bad Samsung screwed itself when they went after their own American team when they had that ultra successful marketing campaign.

The part that is ruining it for many of us (at least myself), is the part where they are leaning towards a permanent battery and NO microSD. :cyclops:

Exactly. I chose the note 4 edge over the s6 with those specific features in mind. I've been buying Samsung for a few generations now, but if the Note 5 is anything like the one in the article, I'll have to look at the next LG G-series.
Not unless they give me an SD card slot. I will definitely be going else where. Maybe lg. I kinda miss my g3.
I feel like this accessory can alleviate many storage hungry users, myself included. Rumors that they could be getting rid of the removable battery is a huge downside for me as I've purchased Samsung's OEM battery charger for the past two generations of the Note line. It's just way too nice to go from 0% to 100% instantly.

I would love to carry that around with me at all time. Problem solved. I'm sold.
I'm honestly done with Samsung. I upgraded to a Galaxy Note 4 from a Nexus 5, and I miss my Nexus 5. The stock rom on the Note 4 is crap, and the only AOSP I've tried (CM12.1) is missing features that stock Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 Android has (namely, HD Voice, WiFi calling, and call recording.)
The worst part of all is that I'm stuck with a faulty USB port that doesn't charge reliably, and Samsung refuses to fix it because I rooted my phone. Meanwhile, Google doesn't care if you root your phone.
**** Samsung, never buying another Samsung phone again.
As much as the stylus is somewhat useful to me... I can do without it. SD card and removable battery=no deal. I'll grab the G4 or Gwhatever is next. Screw this bullsh!t...

Nope, not carrying around attachments with me to access storage. Its a money grab from Samsung now. MSD cards are now coming out in 200gb and 512gb sizes. Before we know it 128gb cards will be hitting $40 (they're already as low as $80). You mean to tell me you would rather pay more for a set amount of storage determined by a manufacture and streaming cloud services? Wake up!
S6 sales aren't panning out as expected and Samsung has been miss firing since the S5 flopped and with the S6 series they keep on flooding the market with variation after variation. At some point Samsung will have to self-center and get back to what made them a hit in the first place.
I just bought a Tab A 9.7 LTE specifically to use it with the S Pen. The John Lewis website showed a pen with it, but there wasn't one in the box. If I just buy one, will it work or are the S Pen versions different?
Sent from my SM-T555 using Tapatalk
Turns out that you shouldn't buy things from your phone... on further inspection the picture of a pen is a side view of the Tab! D'oh!
The question still stands - if I buy a pen, will it work?

You would need to have the tab version designed to work with the s pen I think. My tab a came with an s pen, but there is a version without it too. I dont believe the s pen works with tablets without the function designed for it. I onle own Not3 series devices so cant test, but a friend has my old tab s so i will test it next time i am visiting her and post back here if noone else can answer conclusively in the meantime.

Im wondering the same, especially now that I've flashed my Note 4 with a Note 5 port and the model number actually says SM-N920C.
Just finished reading amazon reviews and people are saying that the Note 4 doesn't fit! Most of us Note 4 users expected a software limitation that could be fixed with rooting or spoofing, but a hardware size issue would be a huge disappointment. I contemplated buying this VR consumer headset knowing it's not going to be compatible with the expectation of making some modifications to get it to work, but if it doesn't fit that's ridiculous! Hopefully someone shares photos or videos of their problems, and maybe we can find a workaround.

Since the announcement of the consumer Gear VR it was clear that the Note 4 will not fit in it.
There is also a visible trend that new content is sometimes unsupported by the Note 4 (mostly because of the Snapdragon variant out there which somehow causes trouble to utilize the performance needed without overheating problems).
The Note 4 version is now over a year old and in my humble opinion it is/was a developer device but to get more testers on board it was called "innovator edition".

That's somewhat good news. Now someone needs to confirm that the software works. I am surprised a Note 4 xda developer has answered this question yet.

Dn5 for the n910c works perfectly with the note4 vr innovator edition. You need to install the oculus apps using n4 buildprop but after that you can swap back to n5 buildprop. I don't know much about the snapdragon variants but if you want to know anything about the exynos n4 and gear vr just hit me up

I'd also like to know what people mean when they say it 'doesn't fit'. I am interested in getting a VR device, but the Innovator Edition is ridiculously expensive for some reason. Can you squeeze it in? Or does it really not fit. Maybe I'll head to a Best Buy and jam my Note 4 in the Consumer Edition to see for myself.
Better to ask forgiveness than permission.
Edit: I found the Innovator Edition for the Note 4 certified refurbished at Amazon for $150 and made a separate thread.

Even if it didn't fit.. why couldn't you use rubber bands or something to strap it to the VR as a rudimentary workaround? Or maybe even take part of the VR's plastic off.
I was going to buy one to test myself. From what I understand, you can make it fit. With root , you can fake it to think it's what ever device you want it to be.
The problem will be overheating and under power, and screen resolution. But Samsung really screwed themselves with this non removable battery deal..

If you do buy the newer version, let us know what the issue with the fit is. If it's something that can be remedied by modifying the back cover or removing it, I might return the Innovator Edition I just bought and get the Consumer Edition.

I was just given one of these as a gift. Love it! The new version has a power port so you don't drain the battery. Instead of separate cartridges for each phone all of the devices fit into one set up using Springs and spacers. I'm running this with my note 5 and couldn't be happier.

How snug is the fit of the Note 5 in terms of it's width? The Note 4 is only a few milimeters smaller in terms of width, but I bet that could be the difference between wedging it in and not getting it in at all.
