i upgrade my galaxy s captive sgh i897 using costum rom of 4.1 jelly bean.and camera does not worked.so i used ics’s kernel using odin in downloading mod and after that my phone shows only a yellow triangle with ” ! ” mark in between a phone and lap’s sign.what to do?

It didn't take right . Even it's on that screen reflash kernel. It like an alternative download mode screen ... Might want too use aokp jb it is stable and camera works

Your phone must be rooted to use triangle away.. Yes you can use with 4.0.4.

I think you didn't understood what he is asking for. He is asking whether he can use triangle away application by chainfire or not on Android 4.0.4 ?

Triangle Away does not work on stock 4.0.4 (Galaxy S3)!! It resets the flash counter but in the phone info it says Modified!! So its purpose is kind of defeated!!

This clearing 'modified' msg is for warranty purpose only, If your device is rooted, then it will remain as it is.
But it will be clear with reflashing stock ROM with wiping. (and that also unroot device)
If your unable to flash it because it's dead what's the purpose if triangle away if it doesn't remove the modified state for warrant purpose?

Yes, you can but to be 100% safe, I recommend you first downgrade to stock GB and then flash cm9. Using some safe kernel on ics rom will work too, you can find instructions in the particular rom thread.

Just flash notecore or speedmod kernels via odin... Then go cwm and do all the wipes and flash cm9 and gapps
Once booted Into android get triangle away app and remove the yellow triangle that's it

Only if you want to brick your phone, temp touch cwm is not safe, dont use it.

What do you lose / gain by switching to CM9 - thinking of doing so myself - except I use the S-Pen apps quite a bit - and I assume they stop working?

More customization, speed compared to TW roms, and you are right no stock Samsung apps on CM9.

this rom is amazing! it's the REAL Android not that thing target by SAMSUNG
i read that it exist a valid app on the market for the s-pen ... the original app doesn't work because they need the original samsung framework
the PEN works perfectly!

If you are using speedmod kernel on jb, your note well never start. You need phils jb kernel.

i installed the leaked jelly bean rom on my note using odin (4.1.1) and it work very well.
Then i installed the kernel phil....etc... and it also works well but i just have the yellow triangle on my boot screen and i cannot remove it because i'm not root
any solution?

UPDATE
I totally bricked my note: i installed hydracore 5.4 and after this my note bricked. I can actually go in download mode but everytime i try to install via odin the leaked jb rom it crashes while loading

UPDATE 2
I unbricked my note, now i'm with the stock ICS 4.0.4 and notecore kernel 14 and root access, but the counter is at 12 atm and the triangle away doesn't want to run. If i try to reinstall via odin the leaked jb 4.1.1 it crashes and so i have to reinstall ICS 4.0.4 again. Now what i have to do to install leaked jb 411? (the first time, ics404notecore14 was easy, just odin and the rom jb411).

make sure you have full root, triangle away should work if you have root..
if you on notecore kernel, thats mean you have CWM.

OK i followed the instructions on this video and downloaded the rom you linked before. In CWM I did the 3 wipes (same as the video) and then i clicked on install xxls7.....etc.zip
I waited a long time and now all i can say is that I REALLY ****IN' LOVE YOU MAN!!!!!!!

Don't do this unless you are on Safe kernel. If you do this on Stock ICS Kernel you could very easily Brick your device.
Flash a safe kernel like Philz and then perform any wipes (if required)

It's the original N7000? Cause i feels the fake
If it's original just flash official rom by ODIN. All this things u can find on XDA or samfirmware.com
Flash an official firmware using ODIN.... It ll fix your problems

About the yellow triangle, download an app called triangle away and install it on your phone (whilst still on Cyanogenmod). Follow the instructions and only once the triangle has gone then you should reflash the stock ROM using the guide.
