Hello
I am a lucky user of Galaxy Note.
I have also a problem with 3G/HSPA modem.
There is mostly working connection, where my download speeds reaches up to 8Mbps,however suddenly it stops transfering the data.
Then I must switch on/off the airplane mode and it works again.
So,where can the problem be? It occurs few times per day and it is very annoying.
I am running on Orange Slovakia network.
Is there any way to upgrade radio/modem stack?
Thanks,Tomas.

Hi all,
I have a AT&T Nexus One and this thing seems to periodically lose 3G access. It will be working fine, I sleep the device, and when I go to use it I notice there is no 3G or WIFI connectivity showing, just signal bars. To get WIFI and 3G to work again I need to toggle airplane mode.
This perplexes me quite a bit, and it is VERY annoying. It randomly happens throughout the day with no real reason behind it (as far as I can tell).
More info: I have experienced this issue while using stock ROM with Froyo, the HTC Sense UI ROM for the N1, and evil D's Froyo ROM.
Has anyone else experienced this? It doesn't drop to EDGE but actually just loses all connectivity until an airplane toggle.
Thanks in advance everyone!
I have recently purchased Galaxy S and the phone runs fine for most part. But when I try to use GPRS on the phone, its slows down a lot and often freezes for several seconds. I only have this issue while using GPRS and not wifi. As soon as I switch GPRS off the phone gets back to its normal speed.
Does anyone know the likely cause of the problem and its solution? I am currently using Android 2.1 and the 2.2 upgrade is not available in my region.
I recently updated to Kit Kat and flashed latest firmware and radio. I'm having a problem where data seems to freeze and won't connect at times. I can see the 3G data up and down arrows trying to connect, but it just never makes a connection. I can go into airplane mode and then back to service and it connects right away, usually to LTE, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the switch from 3G to LTE. Super frustrating as I drive around the city a lot for work and sometimes data freezes for 15 minutes or more. Anyone having similar issues?
ROM: SuperOneK
Firmware: 4.06.651.4
Radio: 1.00.20.1108

Same - Stuck on 3G for Data
I am having similar issue. I think it does have something to do with switching to LTE. My device now only really works with 3G. whenver i'm connected to lte no data is transfered but it says im connected and says data is transfering. I 've unfortunately resolved to just using 3G only. It's pretty sad. I went from a healthy use of data on 4G to barely using it. i think i had a few hundred KB this month. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
I also have this issue, it has been more and more prevalent lately. The phone will be working fine on 3G, then data freezes as it switches to 4G, maybe resumes for a split second, then switches back to 3G. Sometimes 3G doesn't even work then, sometimes it keeps looping between the two. It's ridiculously frustrating to be streaming music while driving and it just stops because it can't figure out which mode to be in.
After updating my S6012 aka Samsung Galaxy Music Duos to JB by looking at this guide..

First time i did it worked fine then few days ago i sent the phone into bootloop and then did it second time two days ago..
Please help..
Did you factory reset after the install?
verify the connection first
Well i didnt factory reset and i use the WiFi network for some time now on my laptop without problems..
Now WiFi works for few seconds before it shows no connection.. It downloaded a 1.1mb file before the message came..
Any ideas why it is doing so??
Is it any settings or is it any root app??
Want fix soon as i need my android for mobile forum using..
I've found that many OTA updates cause weird issues if you don't reset afterwards, especially Samsungs. What did you do to make it go into a bootloop the other day? Is it all wifi networks that are having issues or just at home? Have you tried forgetting the network and relogging back into it and / or resetting the modem and the router if it is only at home? It doesn't matter if every other device is working, resets can often help if you have narrowed it down to just 1 network. As far as the 3G, it's hard to say. The modem/baseband also updated and not every version works best in every region. It's possible you might see if there is another version of 4.1.2 that would have a different modem to flash.
i tried activating softkeys in my rom by editing build.prop..
tried forgetting and relogging..
strange thing is 3g network lags less..
it's as if it is getting better as days pass by from flashing..
Working
I updated My ROM to CM10.1.3 by Alonso..
Now everything is perfect..
Hello everyone,
I'd realized an annoying issue with my Note 5. Mine is completely stock and was updated to MM via OTA about 2 weeks ago
After updating, 3G connection became very slow or unstable. The "3G" on the signal bar appears normally without any glitch, but the actual signal itself is too bad. I test with the Hearthstone game, which requires real-time connectivity. It shows that there's a disconnection in every 3-5 minutes.
The problem persists even after several reboots or toggling airplane mode many times.
Moreover, internet connection (both in SS stock browser and Chrome) is slower than usual. Some webpage is unreachable at all.
So anybody has experienced the same issue would help me?
Thank you very much.
