I wish shaky156 after he finished kernel3/Sense 4 for Desire
Just joking, I don't know many.

I'm sure Franco and Morfic will be all over this phone. Don't care too much for a custom ROM but I'd love to run one if their kernels.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

updated op just remember to put if they will develop on the phone or if you wish for them to dev on the device

As long as there is an aokp dev I'll be happy. Can't live without the pink unicorn.

I compile AOKP for my toroplus and I also compile for maguro. As soon as the N4 comes out im leaving Sprint and getting this phone.
I'm still a total noob when it comes to all this dev stuff but I'll start spitting out roms as soon as I can

I'm pretty sure romanbb wants the n4 also can't wait to run one of morfics kernels on this bad boy

Would love to see syiah kernel from gokhanmoral here
Sent from my Wildfire S A510e using xda app-developers app

mike1986 for his perfectly stable rom and clemsyn for his kernel!

Krarvind has confirmed in the Slim Bean thread (SGSII) that he will dev on N4. Already set someone as maintainer for SGSII.
SGSII - Dorimanx - Slim Bean - AOKP

Hahaha nice to see how the phone is a couple of days away and we already have a nice list of devs joining us!

You seem to have them all covered. I've been waiting for a consolidated kernel thread, I mean we had one for radios, and theres only like 5 of those lol... Anyways, thanks for the convenience.

Thank you so much... Having these all in one easily attainable thread is extremely helpful. Thank you again!
Very nice.
Finally!
Loving Hydra on my DInc
Rad. Nice work.
good idea, this should be stickied!
linked to it in the wiki so if it does get buried we can find it
no problem guys!
I had major instability with KingxKernal #5, had to switch back via Nandroid... anyone know a good, stable kernal?

try incredikernel for sense roms or ziggy's new one. they are both excellent kernel devs.
I'm running invisiblek's AOSP kernels, with good results.

Think he wants a sense kernel since he wants to replace kings no 5 which is only for sense roms

Should I have wiped anything before flashing the kernel? I didn't see anything anywhere about that.

I usually wipe cache and dalvik cache.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Great list. Thanks for setting this all up. I agree that we needed one of these.
Will wiping my cache/dalvik do anything for me now? Or should I flash a Nandroid, then wipe and flash the kernel again?

Probably won't do much for you now, since you don't seem to be experiencing any negative side effects, but it's good practice for future reference.

I need some one who can combine kernels

I need some one to take Franco's kernel and add some stuff from log p505 stock gb kernel, Franco's kernel fixes a keyboard issue on my UI one miui v4 rom. And p 505 kernel fixes color issue on thrive because it is old Bb phone.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA
go to general box plz. It's development box
wats in it for the dev ?
Well, combining kernels wouldn't be possible...
You can apply all commits of franco on your kernel?

well for the devs I bet they would be well rewarded by the log thrive community

ROM requests!!!!

How about a PAC man ROM guys? I've been looking at that ROM and it looks great.
Also maybe a nice 4.1.2 or4.2.2 or 4.2.1 Aokp rom. Love the ROM control it brings. But altogether Pacman ROM comes complete with it lol. Aokp is nice to. If we could only have a JB version....hmmmmm

Difference between Cm, aokp, aosp, pac Roms?

Hii all,
I am confused between cm, aokp, aosp and pac type rom.
Developers make the rom but they dont explain the advantage/disadvantage of these type of rom.
Can someone explain me what are these, there differences and advantages of each rom?
Thanks Gaurenteed..
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
well cm means(cyanogen mod) they are devs share their sources and its good one.
aokp means(android open kang project) and also they are devs share their sources and sure its diffrent from cm.
aosp(android open source project) that type google it self make it and share their sources and its the clear android version without any changes just the original view that nexus devices have.
and pac means (paranoid +aopk + cm) that means this kind of roms have the whole those thing above together in one rom and its pretty awsome
and for me i used cm10.1 by biel and use scripts (this make the rom more smooth and more active ) so i used the script by slaid480 and it called(fly on mod) and everyghing work good for me
thats it
hope you understand

I have only used CM(7.2) till now...
But here is what i know/read and can sum up:
•AOSP-Best ones (performance wise). They are most stable since they are official. They are released only after extreme alpha and beta phases... but not as customizable as others.
•AOKP: They are modded versions of AOSP. Customizable. But I have read somewhere that they drain a lot of battery.
•CM: More fast. More Stable. They are the ones that give you unofficial releases of ICS, JB, etc.
•PAC: Its a hybrid. Cant guarantee battery life. But can be awesome if you put it to use in right way.
However, if you are new to flashing, I'd recommend CM 7.2 (further ones are not as stable as 7.2)... Rest can be used after you get hold of things.
But its up to you to decide.
Best Of Luck....
Plz hit thanks if you think this was helpful.

Everyone have different experience with roms...i have same battery life with aokp and cm10.1,but i use aokp as its faster and smoother..aosp is smoother than cm and aokp, but its not customizable.

In simple words,
1) CM offers customisation and control but not as handy as aokp.
2) AOSP roms are the ones that offer no customisation at all unlike cm, aokp etc. They just give you the pure Android experience like your stock rom.
3) Paranoid Android is famously known for bringing tablet like ui on phones with customisation & controls much similar to cm.
4) PAC rom is an integration of all, i.e., aokp, cm and paranoid android.

[OMNI] [ROM] [TEST] [WIP] [HAMMERHEAD] [GPL] ~This is it!~

Hey Guys,
What's up?? So the N5 is released!! . This is nexus and it's of no use without Cutom ROMs isn't it??
So here is it . I have compiled OMNI ROM 4.4 for our hammerhead aka Nexus 5
All source trees are on my GitHub
If you wanna help me beta-test, please pm me and I'll sent you the link
NOTE: I don't have the nexus5, hence this is untested! . You are warned . Though this is a nexus device and worst case is a bootloop and you can always recover by flashing stock rom
Multiwindow on N5 aw yeah!
