Droid 4 Totally Bricked - Motorola Droid 4

Hi
A friend of my messed up his droid 4. He updated to ICS but something went wrong and the phone is dead. After that he put somes sbf that he didnt remember.
The phone when come to me had the screen in Fastboot Failure. I put the VRZ_XT894_6.7.2-180_DR4-16_M2-37_1FF with the ICS Tool and with RSD and i fix that error but the phone stuck in black screen after the motorola logo.
I think that the phone inside has some files of the last update 217. I tried to install the update trought the stock recovery but didnt let me.
I tried to open the system.img of the 180 putting the files of the 217 but when i flashed gives me errors and stucked in fastboot failure.
Is there a way to put the latest updates files on the sbf 180? I can flash only trought rsd or fastboot.
Sorry for my bad english.

Try to flash in fastboot mode full stock 4.0.4 using rsd lite, then go again to fastboot mode, do fastboot -w command and let us know

I did it but it is the same error. Black screen after motorola logo. I think that the phone is totally bricked.

Have you tried wiping data?? I had a similar issue for a while, it turned out it was mismatching settings or something.

I tried that but no luck.

any fix? im in the same boat. black screen after moto logo

Hmm I dont believe its a hard brick but just a soft brick caused by flashing the wrong sbf which left you in this state
Try downloading the sbf tool
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-4-hacks/217255-droid-4-utility-ics-only.html
FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AS YOU WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE PROPER SBF AND PLACE THE FILES IN THE TOOL

6 months later the Droid 4 is ALIVE!!!
I flash to jellybean with this utility:

Fastboot on re boot?

I was just playing with the Rom tool box app. I hit re boot recovery and a screen popped up that said Fastboot kindle fire and just stayed there until I held the power button and re booted the device. Has anyone seen this and can fastboot be used?
Sent from my KFTT using xda app-developers app
Are you sure this is the new kindle fire hd. Because I tried it and it said your kindle cannot boot and gave me the option to re boot or factory reset. And since it has a locked boot loader you can not use fast boot.
Its definitely KFHD. I'll try to do it again a take a pic. I guess my real question is can fast boot be used with a locked bootloader?
Sent from my KFTT using xda app-developers app
Here is a pic of what it looked like. And I'm sorry I hit reboot bootloader.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using xda app-developers app
Yes, the new KF's can be put into fastboot mode.
Yes, you can issue fastboot commands to it.
No, that does not mean you can flash it with a new recovery or ROM and have it boot.
Be careful what you do here. There are very few options left to you if you brick this device. If you don't know what you're doing and you don't think things through before playing around in fastboot, you may not like the results.
I didn't think so. And I definitely won't be playing around in fast boot. Thanks for the response though

RSD finds my phone and everything but as soon as I load the firmware and hit start it instantly says Failed. I'm not sure whats up with that.
Do you have low battery? Do you have a different computer you can try? Have you tried deleting your drivers out (for your phone) and completely reinstalling them?

Battery is good and I tried deleting all of the drivers twice with no luck. Haven't tried a different computer yet, let me try that and see what happens.

Tried it on a different computer, it got a little bit further but not much. It now says Fastboot command failed. Unknown fastboot command [getvar.]
I use to have same problem. send it back to Motorola for repair. sometimes these phones get stuck in loop.

I didn't know that until I called AT&T. Apparently the Atrix HD can get stuck in a boot loop even without it being rooted. Anyway AT&T is sending me a new phone. Should be here tomorrow. So everything is all good! Thanks!

edit the XML file in the zip to remove the two lines that reference "getvar". then flash.

Atrix HD Boot Loop problem

Hello guys this is my first post in XDA and I am a completely noob so I am here asking for help.
So this is my history.
I recently buy (cheap, about 20 dls) an Atrix HD MB886 (at&t), the reason of the cheap price is because the phone is in a boot loop and
the last owner don't want to deal with it, so it offers it to me, and I buy it with the hope that in this forum i will find the solution.
I have tried to flash it to the stock rom 4.1 posted by the Firmware team, using RDS Lite 6.1 and the process always finalize with no errors, sometimes with PASS
and other times with "Reboot the device manually", the problem is that the phone won't load the S.O and it reboot itself until the battery is dead.
Another observation is when the phone is in AP fastboot and the RSD reboot the fastboot during the process, a message appears saying :
Reason : sticky bit fastboot.
I am sure that the phone isn't rooted, and the bootloader is locked.
I hope that somebody can help me to flash this phone.
Thank you and sorry for my bad english.
you can try installing system.img using fastboot..

Same boot loop.
Maybe a bad phone?

[Help] Bootloop, no adb no fastboot

I just tried to flash 2nd booltloader and tarp recovery on my 7". I went to reboot into recovery one got a Bootloop. It flashes kindlefire for 5 seconds and then goes black for 5 seconds and on and on for about a minute and then shuts down. When I try fastboot my computers hang at and adb says no device. I searched the forum and googled and found nothing so I'm sorry if I missed the answer somewhere. I do have the drivers installed on my computer. I appreciate any help or advice

Im haveing the same problem
Yeah I tried everything I know of so hopefully someone has a trick. I'm thinking about sending it for warranty but if they see it was rooted then I might be sol.

You say you got in in fast boot or that you were trying to from adb? Because if your trying to get it in fast boot your going to need a factory cable. From there once its in fast boot you plug it back in to your PC with the normal cable and run fastboot.exe -i 0x1949 getvar product
That should return Tate something. If that happens you should be able to fix it.

I can't even get it in fastboot. I have the cable that it came with. maybe I'm nit doing something right. How should I do it with the factory cable. So far I've tried adb = device not found and fastboot = waiting for device

Thank you. I'll give this a try

Bricked Razr M

Hi, all. A friend gave me his son's RAZR M (Verizon, US) phone which he totally bricked. I've tried to reinstall a recovery partition, etc. using Motofail2go and Motopocalypse, to no avail. The Daemon runs and just hangs there. I have no way of knowing whether USB debugging was enabled on the phone. The phone stays at:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
10.9B(*) (sha-1e9f557, 2013-03-22 09:18:22)
eMMC Info: Size 8GB
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0
Battery OK
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected
Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure
usb connected
Any ideas how I can get past this?
Thanks in advance.

since you can get into fastboot your should be able to salvage this. Can you get into stock recovery to verify if your rooted or not? what is happening when you try to run Motopocalypse to unlock the boot loader? Have you tried using Matts utility http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249773 to do all this work for you?
I had a similar error when I tried to downgrade my Electrify M by RSD'ing an early version of software. (I found out later its not possible to RSD "down") Anyhow, I was able to get rid of the "flash error" by flashing a new boot image. This "tricks" the bootloader into thinking all is fine. There's some info on flashing boot images here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340764
As for Motopocalypse / MotoChopper etc., they need to be ran from a "booted" phone. If all else fails, RSD back to stock.
i think the razr m utility1.2 can save your phone http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=2491749448&uk=201633670

You Dont Need USB Debugging To Be On To Do AP Fastboot, Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0 Means That The Bootloader Is Still Locked.
Also Try To Use A Droid RAZR Utility.
Do you have the stock usb cable that came with the phone? I had the same issue with my phone; it might just need a charge..

I may be delayed but... if need be and the battery is dead you could buy a factory cable or the team black hat factory adaptor.... if budget is an issue make your own found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077414) using a spare USB cable it does work I have made one used on the xt 894 and xt 912 I have yet to use it on the 907 yet I'm sure it works the same...
