Not OTA ICS, manual d/l? - Motorola Droid Bionic

I have the stock Droid Bionic, running 2.3.4 and still have not gotten the OTA update to ICS.
Is there a file I can download to manually update to ICS instead of OTA?
Sorry if this has been answered before, couldn't get good results with my search terms

Did you even look at the first post in the Droid Bionic General forum, a guide for upgrading your Bionic to ICS?

[Q] Milestone Updates Question

I am new to Motorola Milestone and need some info and hope this forum can provide some answers.
The latest X10 minipro update update from SonyEricsson lock up the system and made it unrootable, you have to downgrade and then upgrade again using a rootable version.
My question is, will this be happening for Milestone if i upgrade or update from Motorola website ?
Thanks for the help.
Yup! Actually, I think you will lose root in any android phone that you will update.

Thank you geevee11 for the quick reply.
my next question is, is there a generic rootable version of the latest update available so that i can update to the generic version instead of from Motorola site ?
once again, thanks for your help.

It depends what you mean by latest update?
Motorola has not updated its Eclair (2.1) ROMs in a while.
We are about to get official Froyo (2.2) updates from Motorola (Q1-2011, so the next 2.5 months).
Most people install whatever ROM they want, downgrade the recovery (by flashing the vulnerable recovery only SBF) and then Root from inside their OpenRecovery variant (GOT, Androidiani).
The GOT Froyo leak SBF already includes a vulnerable recovery.
Many ROMS based on Kabaldan's CM6 port (based iteself on the AOSP) already have root.
Did this answer your questions or confuse you?

Could anyone tell me how to go back to 2.2.2 and get my gingerbread update ota? my gingerbread has minor glitches.

A854 is not in the upgrade list, only A853 and not in all regions (Russia and New Zealand for instance won't get the update).
MILESTONE A854
Will remain on Android 2.1

[Q] need sbf for milestone x2 2.3.6 back to 2.3.5 or rom/2.3.6

OK, my wife has a motorola milestone x2 on ntelos network. I was in the process of searching for a rom when she decided to take the update from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6. Everything i have read leeds me to believe i cant sbf back to 2.3.5. there is only 1 sbf file for her phone specific to ntelos wireless. Im scared to try it to be honest,i can do anything and everything when it comes to my milestone x/droid x.basiclly, can i sbf from 2.3.6 to 2.3.5?or are there any roms for the 2.3.6 update? I was able to root but would like to flash some roms and give her more options.i am aware that the droid x2 is twin to milestone x2 as is the d/x and m/x.im running chevy no1 ssx rom for droid x on milestone x. anyway, any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

Anyone else never receive an ota update on there international past 2.3.6? I bought my note from ebay and it is south america model. Version 7000UBKK2. Tried kies and ota no luck. Why is this and who determines the update for different regions. Im using on AT&T network. What the hell?? Please explain.

have you got through that soft brick situation?
actually there is a new Leak JB on sammobile for South American N7000. check this tread
http://www.sammobile.com/2012/12/13...-note-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean-test-firmware/
there are many reason why you are not getting an update. if there firmware doesnot match the update criteria like PDA/PHONE/CSC. but its always better to update manually using Odin
As nokiamodeln91 said - grab the JB firmware from sammobile and flash it - you'll get latest firmware, and fresh install is always better than OTA upgrade. Should you need any help with flashing, just ask
You most likely won't receive OTA update because UBKK2 seems to be a country specific firmware and they're sometimes poorly maintained. Best to flash international JB rom.
Just getting ready to start on it. Think I have a fix but well have to see what happens. As for the update I had been on the same gb rom since i got the phone like 6 months ago and just finally realised that it probably wasnt going to come. So as you see I bricked my first phone. Have been lucky with the atrix and 717 and even a previous model 7000 but i should have done more research before flashing. Will update the thread whichever way it goes. How is the battery life on these new JB roms? Ive heard alot of people complain about decreased battery life after updating to ICS and so I was skeptical about updating. Im open to suggestions as I have limited time to read up now working alot of hours on nights.
I think it's best to just root it and install cwm ( 1 step method by dr. Ketan ) and flash CM10.1 - you won't believe how fast and smooth Note can be.
Another option would be to get odin, download firmware from sammobile ( nokiamodel provided the link ) and flash it - single step procedure.
True, ICS had worse battery life, but it seems that JB fixed that, at least on AOSP based roms. If you need help with flashing procedure, let me know.
