Just want to get an idea/numbers of people who have got one/tried to get one...

I amazned so many ppl got them

Tried and the order crashed, but it appeared on Google Wallet 30 mins later.

I got two, first order went through when I thought it bugged, so I continued until I got confirmation. Then got 2 emails.
Looking at how it went, could have easily resell it, but I'm a nice guy, and cancelled the second one, to make someone else happy today :highfive:

spend 10mins getting as far as adding a nexus 4 16GB to my basket to then get an error.
finally managed to get to entering card details and address then got another error.
then finally got to clicking accept and buy and the screen froze for 10mins!
closed window down assuming it had crashed again then checked transactions in google wallet and my order was there.
checked credit card and money has gone out of account.
finally received my confirmation order email after an hour!

I had check4change running ALL night with speakers at full volume next to my ear... so much waited anticipation!
I'm also in the east coast.. but now I've gotta go to school assuming they start selling at 3pm... I'm going to sprint home!
This will be an upgrade from a Nokia E63

I ordered mine. It crashed on the final google wallet page but i left it running whilst at school and 1 hr later got an email
It took me ages as it kept on showing out of stock, then in, then out again

Managed to snag mine around 8:14 this morning, took ages between transactions. I had one failed transaction so I refreshed and it went through as a single order. Confirmation email arrived around 9:20.

I had, got the the final Google Wallet screen, tried to send it and then realised I used the wrong card, panicked, closed that window and then never got another chance. Thankfully I've not had a confirmation on the first attempt, but equally very annoyed that I got that close and am now without.

I got one at 8:55 GMT. It failed on the Wallet screen so I assumed I didn't get anywhere. Checked Wallet 30 mins later and it is sitting there with the following

I got one at 8:29am .... Got the checkout failed you card has not been charged. Well it was charged and I have one in my purchases. Got the confirmation email at 9:00am! But yea like everyone here I tried like 50 times. :laugh:

Google Wallet says delivery estimate is the 15th, but I still have not had any money taken from my credit card. Little bit worried the order will just disappear at some point.

it says in the email that money is not taken until it is shipped :good:

I have received confirmation emails for both of my devices, with estimated delivery of 15 November.
However, I would not get too hung up on following order status, as my screeny below shows that apparently the Nexus 7 I ordered on august 2nd is still pending....

True - money is not 'taken' till it ships, but it will usually put a 'hold' on the necessary funds. To check this, look at your account and see if 'available balance' is the save as 'latest balance'.

Careful about selling comments ...

OK, So It shipped from Adorama! (No Nans)

Sorry if this should be in another thread but I think it is important to know as some people may have done what I did...
So I ordered through the Play store when the Nexus first went up on the 27th and I got the 8Gb. At this point, I still have received no communication or final charge from Google. So that sucks!
Anyway, today I saw the Verge post about Adorama getting stock so I figured I take a flyer and place an order for a 16Gb (which is probably better to have than just the 8Gb) and choose overnight shipping - which was like $27 but there was no tax because Adorama is an NY Co and I am in PA. I emailed them to ask if there was any chance it would ship today and I would get it tomorrow, but I never received a reply from their customer service.
I did, however, receive an email that (I think) they sent to everyone who ordered online saying that the Nexus 7 was backordered for 10-14 days and I could cancel, or wait and not be charged until it shipped etc. Well I paid via Google checkout and I was charged immediately after the order and the charge was never removed.
So I figured I would give until tomorrow to see if I hear back from them, so I haven't cancelled the order.
So finally a few moments ago I went to the Adorama site to check on my order status and to my surprise it has SHIPPED! They attached a tracking number and the package is already in route in NJ and should be hear by tomorrow at 10:30AM!!!
What is weird is that I have received no email from Adorama with the tracking info nor has my google checkout (wallet) been updated with the tracking info - it still says "order not shipped."
The moral of the story: If you ordered from Adorama check your order on their website ASAP. And it is every possible that Google Play orders may be shipped already but the Google Wallet info has not been updated.

and now I have received and email confirmation from Adorama and by Google Checkout has been updated with the tracking. So it is all going smoothly.... as of now.
Same thing here says it shipped. I will have it by 10:30 am tomorrow....

crap. I wish I did overnight shipping. placed my order today and tracking says it's at NJ too! that's amazing. only thing is that I did standard shipping and I'm out of town sunday... agh!!

All Nexus 7 tabs will get the $25 credit no matter where you get it, but ONLY the first gmail account that logs into will get the credit.

why is dont have status?
I'm very tempted to cancel my order and get this right now. I have to play an extra $25 for tax cause google is located in california on top of the unexpected 50$ price jump to for the 16gb and I still haven't recieved anything from them eventhough i ordered on the 27th.

Pre-ordered from J&R? Come in for status!

Since it seems that us lonely J&R pre-orderers are being left in the dust I figured I would start this post so we can share any info we've gotten.
I order mine July 4th, got a backorder email July 11th.

Thanks, I was thinking about this myself. The Play store order thread is too fast for us J&R shoppers to get any discernible information to each other.
Anyway when I talked to them this morning they told me they have no information but they guess they should have it in there warehouse within the next two week.
Yeah I was trying to skim that to see what other people said with JR but it's too hard.
Lets hope they get them in soon, if not I'll monitor if my local Gamestop has some to go pick up within the next week or so.
Canceled my JR order and picked one up at Sam's Club today (didn't even have a pre-order). It wasn't a hard choice for me considering A.) they supposedly got 1000 orders with only 100 in the initial shipment, and B.) being in NY, I had to pay tax.
They're a reputable company, but I hope some of you aren't waiting another month to get yours.

Yeah I saved 32- 68 dollars going though them no tax no shipping. So I will gladly wait

Yeah good point, I didn't pay any tax either or shipping... Might as well hold off.
Like someone said in the other thread "let them early birds work through all the rom/rooting tweaks. It will be all ready to go when we get ours!

Yeah, I plan on unlocking and flashing a new ROM as soon as I get mine. Problem is, there probably won't be any decent ROMs had I gotten it next week. I will gladly wait until developers get their hands on theirs.

Plus I bet a lot of impatient people will cancel there preorders from J&R and we'll move up on in line quickly enough.

I didn't preorder from JR, I was just making a general comment about running stock JB
Okay Just got off the phone with with J&R and they got 50 in stock today, and all of them are allocated to orders ahead of me. They don't however know what order I am in line, just that the 50 that came in are before me.
Probably going out to the people that paid full retail first. no doubt.

Same here, I originally ordered from Google but cancelled an hour later because I saw this deal on the 3rd of July. The guy told that he couldn't cancel it right away but he will forward a message to the department and send me an email but he assured me that it would get cancelled. I haven't received an email about the cancellation and my card hasn't been charged either. I am quite confused whether it got cancelled or not. Now I am not sure if I'll get one or two of these thing >_>.
Anyone know how to refuse a shipment if it does come?

Go to Http://Play.Google.com/store/account It should show your order and if it says canceled, will its cancelled.

Mine says canceled. and I got one email confirming escalation and another confirming canceled.
Go to http://wallet.google.com/manage to check to see if you where charged yet.
You order is most likely not canceled and maybe even charged by now.

So Pending + Pre Order doesn't mean you're good... My N4 Saga

So I just wanna give you a heads up just in case anybody else is in the same situation as I am.
Here's the story:
I'm outside the US currently, but VPN'ed to use my US card and ship to my house in FL.
- Camped out with everybody hoping for a midnight est launch
- Waited up till 3am est for a midnight west coast launch
- Lost my mind when I saw people posting that it's live at 8:30 instead of 9 pst
- Damn near destroyed f5 and despite quite a few errors, a 16GB finally processed!
- Was worried cause I got this error:

- Opted not to try place another order for fear of amex blocking the charge and since i'm currently out of the US, and since it says I have 7 days to resolve payment before the order is cancelled
- Check AMEX, the transaction is there in pending!
- Shortly after, got a confirmation email and was happy!
- Google Wallet status: Pending
- Play Store status: Pre-Order
- Called Google to just be sure since I saw people with confirmed and shipping estimates. After the normal procedure, collecting name, email etc. the girl says to me, sorry, I hate to tell you this but your order is is going to eventually be cancelled, you card was not charged.
- Got this follow up email from her:
Thank you for calling Google Play Support, it was a pleasure assisting you with your concerns. I understand that you would like verify the purchase of your Nexus 4 device.
I've reviewed your situation and can confirm that your credit card wasn't charged for your pending order and will eventually cancel the order.

- Call back, a guy answers this time and says "don't worry, you're good, it'll be shipping out in a soon."
- Call back a third time and the guy says, no, I don't think it's going through but we're reviewing the order/account. You should reply to the email the other rep sent you for better assistance.
The moral of the story boys and girls, even if you got a confirmation email and everything looks good, be proactive and find out the details. So it looks like i'm not getting a 16GB N4 this round. So if anybody ordered an extra one by accident and wants to be a good samaritan, definitely hit me up... :fingers-crossed:
So the fact that it says Pending has nothing to do with it. There was a problem charging your card. I don't see how this relates to anything considering Google Wallet usually says pending until it is shipped/charged.
My order says pending / pre-ordered but it went through without any issue. ( talked to 2 google rep )

yea mine charged the card for a hold talked to a Rep about 2 horus ago and he said it should ship within 24-48 hours. I have a ship date of the 15th on the order page. Also on the top of that SS on your post how it says they had a problem. to me that says there was a problem most likely like you said with your CC and thats why it didn't go through where alot of ppl did not have a problem with their CC and it showed a hold and they are fine.
my tax was $9 higher
I saw the charges show up in AMEX and then got the confirmation email so I thought it was safe to think the card eventually went through. Also since it said i'd have 7 days to modify the payment if needs be and I got an order number I thought I should be cool.
When I saw a bunch of other people getting Pending/Pre Order status and I didn't have a declined or cancelled status further made me think all was well.
Anyhow, I replied to the email so who knows, maybe they will work something out, maybe not, at this point i'll just have to wait and see.
I also got the error didn't process card message when I completed my order. 20 minutes later it showed up in my wallet followed by the confirmation email.
It now shows:

Well i used a debit card from Bank of America, and as soon as i charged $800+ dollars for 2 16gb and 2 bumpers, i got an email from my bank saying 'Detected Irregular Activity' asking me to call them to confirm that it was an authorized payment. Everything is fine, still says shipping estimate: Nov 15 and its still pending.
My order was pending but now its been charged and processed.

Funny, I got the same, and I only ordered one phone. Called up and talked to a BofA rep and she said just that the online purchase flagged their system. Seems strange, buying a phone doesn't seem like a crazy fraudulent charge..

After four calls and 3 emails I finally got some good news!
Spoke to a guy and he told me everything is a go. I heard that before, but when I checked my play store status, it changed from Pre-Order to:

no reasons were stated, they just cancelled my order without my knowing or asking...wtf is this. i was waiting badly for this phone since i sold my other nexus 4. it was supposed to comes 6-7 weeks which is basically this week or next week and they cancel it? GG, never shopping with them again.

ofc i will....this post was just to inform others of google's shady shopping and customer service routines.
they did the same thing to me. no explanation. no info given on who cancelled it. nothing. of course I did receive the notice of cancelation right as one of their employees emailed me to let me know he was looking into my order issues. I'm assuming he did it, but no proof. call in and ask to speak with a level 2 person. the supervisor I tried didn't even know how the play store works

There may be a time limit on how long Google can hold your credit card.

How bizarre. Out of interest, had you received the updated payment email yesterday and get the charge held over in your bank account?

Could be they went to charge your account again before they shipped it and you had insufficient funds in your account to cover the transaction. They re-charged my account 3 days before they shipped it in November after being backordered for 2 weeks.

lmao they've been out of supplies weeks though. but i thought they would put my order as a backorder until they get more supplies, not cancel it. i just called google and dude says he don't know what happened and why. i'ma call again and try to talk to someone else, and then a supervisor. this is BS. this means that google playstore must really not have any supplies coming soon.

what are you talking about? they only charge your account when they are about to send it out. first of all, they charged the account for my first order in november and when my credit card refused, google play send me a message stating the issue and i called my credit card and fixed it. but that was the first order. this second order i didn't use credit card and the payment option i chose has more than enough funds in it. and also, if there was a problem, they should have informed me, not just cancel it.

I read a post where some guy had similar problem. He called play store and they sent him a unique link to re order. Contact Play support.

What is your Order status?, mine is still Processing, which I take to mean everything before shipping.
Still processing. Cancel button still there.

Mine is Black/Blue.
Ordered it on September 1st during the keynote speech.
Order still shows processing and the Cancel button is there. But I received an email on the 9th that it was being made and to allow 4-5 weeks to receive it. Hopefully it arrives much sooner than that though!
I think they will ship next week. But I'm curious which colour goes first.

I got mine from Samsung Canada if that makes a difference.
Mystic Black (Metallic Gold Hinge) ordered on Sept 4th. Expected delivery Oct 09th.
No updates, cancel button is still there. Funds were charged at first but then charge dropped a couple of days later. Contacted Samsung support to make sure everything is okay and they said everything looks good on their end and are awaiting for the phone to be 'made.'

O ok. I'm in the US. So maybe that's why.
Ordered mine from Samsung UK website on 6 September.
Colour: Bronze/Blue
Current status: processing
I also received an email to say mine was being made. That was 2 days after placing the order.
Looks like UK customers are now receiving free Galaxy Buds with their orders for non customised orders. Wonder if I'll be lucky enough?
My funds fell off. Don't even show ever being there.

More details on this? How come we aren't being given anything for US orders. Also the trade in offers are terrible. S10 plus only 360 when they're giving me 550 to trade it in to a Note 20 ultra. What the heck Samsung

I was very surprised to discover this earlier today when reading the other thread about Pre order/shipments in UK. They were saying they've received the Buds for free. Normally in UK we get a very bad deal from Samsung.
