Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on what to expect for shipping based on having bought a Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 from the play store in the past.
Google tends to ship at 5am after processing orders the night before and much progress is made on the first day. So at least for the Midwest near a major city where I live, shipping on Nov 15 means delivery on Nov 16. Everybody else would call this overnight delivery and not 2-day.
Might be helpful for others to post how long it took for play store orders to get to them. I dunno if this is just a midwest thing since they have a distribution center in Kentucky.
I have a feeling everybody's going to get theirs on Friday.

If you have a "charge" it was probably just a check to make sure you have funds available to cover the purchase. Standard practice.
If you look at your purchase on Google Play it likely says "estimated shipping date 15 November" or something like that.
A lot of orders will be processed before the 15th. There is no first come first server, everyonewho ordered are in the same boat since it sold out instantly. So they put the "max" by default to everyone. But obviously some will be shipped today and tomorrow.
My guess is still
Status in the play store.
"Completed" = Ships tonight or in the morning
"Ships the 15" = Ships on the 15th
"Pre Order" = Ships sometime after the 15th

No, its not a placeholder charge its for the full amount and its not pending in my bank account. I also dont have anything that says shipping on the 15th..just says two day shipping..
I live in Indiana but I was told from Google my Nexus 4 will come from Texas,,I hope not
Google has stated that orders on the 13th will start shipping the same day. Factor in the 2 day delivery, we should have it by the end of the week.
I have to believe this is true because my order went in around 11:50 AM (EST) and at around 1:30 PM, I called my credit card company and they confirmed that the charge went through and was completed (no pending or pre-auth status on their end).
but it's weird that my Google Wallet status still shows pending...
here's to hoping for delivery on 11/15. :highfive:

I got an e-mail notification for each.
However, when going under the Google Play store, one has the status 'Shipping estimate: November 15, 2012' and the other just says 'Complete'. Even though I ordered the one that says 'complete' first. When I go to Google Wallet, it has both of them under pending. They should both ship at the same time, correct?
I got a confirmation about half an hour after ordering, but it's been about 11 hours and still no shipping confirmation..

Never got the sale email, but I checked around 11:35AM and saw they were on sale. After a few attempts on my laptop, I pulled my phone out and completed the checkout there. I think Google Wallet was actually what was causing the issue for me at least, because as soon as I went to the mobile version of checkout, it went through no problem.

I have not got my confirmation email yet but on my Walletit says pending and estimated shipping November 15th so I think I'm good.
Just a cautionary note to would-be device buyers from the Play Store - my girlfriend has had a dreadful experience trying to buy me a 16GB Nexus 7. The order was placed on the 8th to be delivered 'within 2 days'. They messed her around until the 16th, blaming the courier for 'not receiving the order correctly' (which was a load of nonsense according to TNT, the courier in question) and that other UK customers who ordered on the 8th had suffered similar issues. At this point she gave up, told them to cancel the order and purchased a 32GB N7 from Carphone Warehouse. Funnily enough, despite this, the status changed from 'order placed' to dispatched and they attempted to deliver the device originally ordered on the 20th. We declined the delivery, but still haven't received a refund. She's just on the phone to TNT again who are actually being very helpful and have confirmed the device has been returned, which Google claim is untrue. Still in limbo...
I'm sure most people who order from them will have no issues, but bear in mind when ordering from them that they have no UK contact and you're stuck dealing with a useless, rude US-based telephone team who have the ability to do naff all except sprout the same corporate bullish*t about their refunds process. You have no comeback from Citizens Advice or trading standards as there is no entity in the UK to list and the telephone support people will not give a UK trading address!
in the us it takes between 6-8 weeks to get a refund from google.. This is only after the 14 days you must wait before they will even talk to you. Keep on them or they will just keep putting you off.. It takes forever...
On a slightly different track, is TNT the worst carrier ever? They have NEVER succeeded in making a delivery to my home. Every time I find by checking tracking they have supposedly failed to find my home and I have to personally collect, a round trip of fifty miles. Maybe I am at the limit of their delivery radius and the drivers just can't be arsed. Taking into consideration shipping and this journey, it sure made my Nexus 7 a heck of a lot more expensive than if I just bought it on the high street.

I ordered N7-3G Sunday evening and was despatched Monday morning with them stating 3-5 working days. I was pleasantly to see it waiting for me Tuesday when I came home.
It was delivered quicker than it took TNT to update their tracking information.

Anyway I digress, I ordered the 3 of them at the same time Friday night just before 8pm, paid a couple of quid upgrade for a Saturday delivery next morning 7:30 Parcel Force knocking on the door with them, less than 12 hours, it does not get much better than that

Can't say I've had any problems with the UK play store when ordering it. I ordered a Nexus on the 23rd Nov at half 11 at night. It was dispatched on the Monday and I got it on the Tuesday. Was delivered by TNT as well

They come a bit higher than hdnl/yodel in my opinion.
From experience of buying n7 and being unable to buy n4 I find nothing that would make me recommend buying from play store.
Getting n4 from cpw even with the premium just because play store sucks so much.

Not sure but I ordered mine from T-Mobile on Friday as well with free shipping and by Friday evening I had a tracking number for delivery tomorrow (Monday). I ordered it around 3:00pm ET. I ordered it in person at one of the stores.
I went on Saturday and they said they had sold out all 40! I couldn't believe it. My friend, who is on T-Mobile, went with me. I am on AT&T. We ordered one and they said the 28th which also shocked me. I have to ask my friend what the status is. I will bother him every day until I get it. Lol! Hopefully before the 28th.

I ordered mines Thursday the 16th in store around noon, didn't receive tracking untill Saturday, ground shipping will be here in California on Thursday the 24th...
I use to work at ups in downtown Los Angeles, from my understanding UPS don't open on Sundays, so tmobile might print your shipping label or have your package ready to ship today, maybe.. But ups won't get their hands on it until earliest Monday.

T-Mobile sent me a text message with tracking before UPS even picked it up. Not sure if that is standard procedure or not but that was my experience.

I really suggest that you forget about keeping track of yorur order online. During the Pre-Order release, very few people had their online orders updated - even after the shipment had been sent.
Personally - my online order sheet/receiept - said processing for 1 week after I got the phone - and in fact I got an email from Tmobile three days after I got my phone that my NOte 4 was shipped.
I don't knwo why - but the online system for reporting and tracking from TMOBILE has had issues - your best bet is to go to UPS and setup an account for "My UPS" then try to track the package with your shipping address. - that is what many people did with the PREODER - and it was much more reliable than waiting for notice from TMOBILE -
Regardless of what you do - good luck and I hope you get your NEW NOTE SOON -it is an awesome phone!
You can also try tracking by reference number using your phone number. That is the only thing that worked for me. Despite having my name in the shipping address they actually shipped it to my company name and those won't show up on myups.

That's cuz tmobile and anyone actually, that has an account with UPS can print their own UPS labels. But ups don't process any shipments on Sundays. I can't say the same about Tmobile warehouses not working on Sundays though I have no idea about them.
Do what some people suggested and sign up for free ups account. You can receive text messages from ups everytime there is an update on the movement of your package. They will text you when it's been shipped or if there is a delay.
Has anyone had their order shipped out yet? Sprint stated they would start shipments today.

nope no email as of yet...i don't think they will start shipping until Monday..so once you get it, it will be closer to the actual release date.

Press release clearly tells us this Friday, though.
"Preorders will begin shipping Friday, Aug. 14. Both smartphones will be available in Sprint Stores and all other sales channels beginning Friday, Aug. 21"

I placed an order at 5pm PST on Thursday, 8/13/15, since the Sprint website said pre-orders being shipping on 8/14. My current status is still "waiting at the warehouse to be processed". At 5pm today, Customer Service Live Chat said that my order will be shipped by the end of the day because almost all of the pre-orders were practically ready for shipment at the warehouse. A few hours later, my status hadn't changed, so I contacted them again at 8pm. He then stated that it should now ship this weekend.
*Update:
At 11pm last night, I received an email saying that it shipped through UPS. The Sprint site says that it shipped and supplied a UPS tracking number, but the UPS site says that it's just "ready for UPS" and does not provide an estimated arrival date other than 2-day air.
This time its Sprint first. Last year, T-mobile users get their N4 first.
i'm not on Sprint, but FedEx tracking shows my wife's ATT Note 5 is scheduled for delivery on Monday, August 17th... surprised it's shipping that soon.

At this moment I thought I'll have to wait for next sale. But I opened my laptop for last chance and kept refreshing the page. I saw the phone a couple of times in stock again(preorder), but same thing happened(before finishing payment, it was out of stock).
I told myself that ill just check tomorrow morning because I didn't expect this phone to go out of stock that easily, but I underestimated the number of people buying this phone (or overestimated the stock Asus has )
Still I thought ill give this a last chance and kept refreshing, and around 12.24AM, I saw it again in stock, and completed my payment.
I also had a riding helmet of 2k in my cart which I wanted to buy. So I got total of 4k discount on cart value of 40k using ICICI card. So overall I got the phone for around 34.2k which is a great deal I think.
Asus has not actually announced next sale date. They just have said that the phone will be released(shipped) on 8th Oct. Gadgets360 confirmed this from Asus(check their article), so not sure when is the next sale going to be and same is the case with 12GB variant.

I thought the same but I saw another offer which said if your cart total is 40k then you get discount of another 2k (separate than the 10% maxed at 2k). So total of 4k.
Phone was anyways of 38k, so I just added another item that I wanted to buy anyways. Got total cart of 40k and total discount of 4k on that.
