Well that didn't last long...Sold out 2 minutes later...

might be maybe people cancelling and phones are going back into the system.

I cancelled my 8 gig but it doesn't show up as cancelled on my end yet so I'm not sure if mine has gone back up for purchase.

Scored an 8GB at 11:15 EST using the trick in the ARP thread, so confirmed, some units are/were available.

Honestly. If I wanted an 8 gig, of would have bought it this morning. They were in stock well after the 16's.

Tesco Orders - Great Service for Warranty

Just thought I would give a mention for anyone who has purchased from Tesco Direct and is having issues.
If you need to exchange your Nexus 7 for whatever reason, they have a courier swap out service next day.
Had absolutely no hassles or quarms about it.
Lets hope the next one has a firm screen.

I picked mine up from Tesco yesterday and I am seeing / feeling no problems with my screen!
What did you find wrong with your screen? Where was it unfirm?

Yeah, was very spongy on the left side. Bit too much for comfort. Could only see it getting worse.

My GOOGLE NEXUS 7 EXPERIENCE .

My google experience
I pre ordered the google nexus 7 on the day the went on sale. One week after they started shipping i sent google a email asking them when mine would ship. I was told within a week. Two weeks later i call them to see what is up. As at this point my account was charged for the device. They tell me shipping any day. Two days later i see on my wallet account as google nexus 16 gb ORDER CANCELED BY SELLER.
So i call google back and ask what is up. they said it was a computer issue. And that i would have to reorder. At this time they where backorderd for up to 4-6 weeks on the 8 gb . OUT OF STOCK ON 16. So i ordered the 8 gb version. After a week i received it. Two weeks later i start seeing lines on the screen when you hold it on the left side of the screen as well as the screen moving.
I CALL GOOGLE BACK . they tell me that I can send it back and DO A advance replacmeent exchange. I tell them im not having my money put on hold. I will send it back in a few weeks and just reorder another device when they receive it.
So i decided to just order the device and send this back into them when i receive the new device. .
Its now the end of Aug the new device comes in the mail . It comes in with a CRACKED SCREEN . SO not 30 minutes after usp drops the device off i call GOOGLE YET AGAIN. TO GET A RMA for the brand new replacement device. I GET THAT JUST FINE.Send google this device that i only had for 30 minutes in my posession. still at this time holding on the original device as its still working . you just cant push on the left side of screen. GOOGLE Recieved the device on the 5th of september. Since then i have had several phone calls and exchange of emails. Being told that the device i sent them back was the original device and they WOULD NOT ISSUE A REFUND OR REPLACE THE DEVICE. STATING THAT i would have to prove what device i sent in. They have it so i have no way of doing so . Other then they can see what device is being used and connected to my google wallet. They understand and can see this so im told. But still refuse to help me in any way. So now today on 9/27 I contact them for the last time and demand i get a RMA to send the original device back to them as proof that it was not the one they keep saying they have. SO NOW GOOGLE HAS ALL OF MY MONEY BOTH OF MY DEVICES . AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ME AS A CUSTOMER
Anyone got a tl;dr or is this worth reading?

I get it. There is a whole problem about the Nexus 7's screen thing. But I have bought a C90 numbered nexus 7 and is perfectly fine just like rest of the population had.

I can wait for 3 weeks...but if they come back and say it's going to be January before stock is really stable and not an F5 spamfest to try and get one, then I may have to go elsewhere. Hopefully they REALLY learned from this, and establish a much better system for the next batch...perhaps making an item in your cart be unavailable to be purchased by someone else for a certain amount of time, ala ticketmaster?
This has been discussed to the point of nauseam already.

last years screen shot from carphone had nexus 4 white in stock so i wouldnt put to much faith into them...
Right, I just phoned Gary at CW.
He didn't have any in stock straight away, but when i told him to search LGNEXUS5WHIT he saw it on the screen,....he was pretty shocked that I knew what he should search.
Anyway, he said they are in stock but there's nothing he can do about reserving it etc.
he game me his number and name and said he'd be happy to keep checking. I told him he'll probably be inundated with calls tonight enquiring anyway.

Ok so starting to get a little worried here.
They show 2 versions available (Black and Black & White) but are both 16GB versions? I mean what are the chances Google will launch 4 different versions of this phone in both colors and both in 16 & 32 GB versions?

Loose earpiece grill

The ear piece grill on mine is loose. Checked my note 3 and it's not the same. Check yours just in case. I may sound a bit picky but I just spent $749 + tax on this. Gonna get it exchanged.

the one on my Note 2 kinda does that. but i never noticed until now until you brought it up. hmm...guess it didn't bother me or it didn't really cause a problem.
the one on my Note 3 on the other hand....it's rock solid. like welded into place.

I wouldnt mind it so much if it stayed balanced. But its higher on 1 side and it's bugging the heck out of me.

Yes you do have to send it back but after you get the replacement. I've done exchanges with them before. They've sent me a replacement but they have to put a charge on the account. If the defective one doesn't come back then they don't remove the charge.

Will you be okay with it for the next 4+days ? I don't know if they will, in the cities I've lived in all sold out of note 2and 3 within 2hrs and my town is small

man... to be honest... I completely understand your felling and frustration... even a small imperfection like this can make me crazy too. In my case I always inspect the screen looking for dead pixels (I usually install dead pixels app from the store)... and I have returned many phones because of this. (Including Note 3) In other words... like you mentioned... is your money, and if you are not 100% happy... return it... better live a week or 2 without the Note 4 than a year or more with the problem in your mind every single day...

Ya I'll be fine as long as it gets replaced. But since I bought online they will have different stock status than stores. Hopefully they've reserved some for replacements. I'll find out in a few.

I just checked mine and the earpiece doesn't have this defect. It would bother me also.

Just checked my white note 4. The speaker on mine is fine. I'd return it if I were you.
It looks like assembly problem. It appears that your speakers grill sits on top of foam gasket (this would be a reason why it springs back).

And if I buy at a store, it has to be the same type store, meaning if I bought at a corporate store, I have to go another corporate store.
UPDATE: Ok they had to reorder me a new phone (black). It wasn't out of stock so they are going to ship it to me overnight at no charge and will get it on Wednesday. As usual, they are charging me for the new one and will refund the charges on the 1st phone when they receive it back.

I guess I got lucky the 2nd time around.
Not quite sure how UPS works but with FedEx ground it cannot be changed either once it ships. If it was express then they can switch between next day, 2nd and 3 days.
