Ive always wanted a macbook, i just moved to germany so i have no computer and next year, in march i will go to a graphic design school, so now its the time to buy one, but these macbooks pro are so damn expensive, the 15 inch model costs 2.279,00 € but it only comes with 256 gb that's a joke to me and even a greater joke its that for a upgrade to a 512 gb ssd they charge 500 € ! a 512 sdd disk on amazon is usually 350 € !
Also do you think i will be fine with 8 gb of ram or i should pay extra 200 € and get the 16 gb of ram?
Have any of you actually used one of apples financing deals? i cant afford to spend almost 3000 € at once, since my german is very bad i cannot fully understand their conditions , how do they work? 24 months to pay+ 7.99% of interest+ ?? this is what google translate came up with lol "Example conditions
€ 1,000 Net loan amount monthly. Installment amount € 45.10, 7.99% APR, 24-month term, 5.28% bound borrowing rate plus 25, - € processing fee, total € 1,082.40. Subject to availability. The figures are at once the 2/3 sample in accordance with § 6 para 3 PAngV represents credit Agencies are alone for Credit Plus Bank,"
Also i could gather the money so that i dont have to pay with financing but do they have special discounts for students?
Right now my choices are:
a) 15": 2,3 GHz + 8 gb of ram + 512 gb disk for 2.779,01 €
b) 15": 2,3 GHz + 16 gb of ram + 512 gb disk for 2.979,01 €
c) 15": 2,6 GHz + 8 gb of ram + 512 gb disk for 2.899,00 €
d) 15": 2,6 GHz + 16 gb of ram + 512 gb disk for 3.099,00 €
Thanks for your help and keep in my mind that this would be my computer for at least 2, very likely 3 years!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231295

i like G.skill and i have allways used there ram and never had a problem with them
Go with the cheaper kit. It won't make any noticeable difference.
Like stated already, go with the cheapest.
thanks for the help!
Hey guys, I have a friend that's trying to sell his desktop to me.
His desktop is a Pentium 4, 512mb DDR2 ram, 250Gb Hard Drive. His price is 120$ which I think is too high for a Pentium 4 system. BTW there is no screen.
And I already have a custom built PC (Build by myself); Core I7 860, 6Gb DDR3 Ram, 1.5 Tb + 250 Gb, eVGA GTX 570 HD 2.5 Gb, eVGA GTS 250 1 Gb (For Physx).
I just want to have another system laying around as a home server PC. As I only use my current one for gaming and video editing etc....
What's the reasonable price that you guys would pay for a Pentium 4 system without a screen?

For that? $50. Max.
Yeah. That's what I was thinking when he told me that.

Any other suggestions?

eh 90$ would be my abs limit
id go no more than 75
--sent from my glacier.
I paid $70 for a 23" screen, and a tower from which I took out 2XGeforce 8600GTi, modular power supply which I still need to fix, and 4gb DDR2 ram, and the ram I sold for $40. The PC is fine for a server, but not for that price.
Alright thank you all for your response! I'll tell him that the price is too high and I'll take it for 60$.

Hi all,
I purchased Sandisk 16GB Microsdhc card, class 4
But in phone properties, it is showing as only 14.83 GB
Any solution to get full space of 16 GB?
Nothing has it full capacity, i have a 16GB Sandisk too, and it shows the same free space as yours, just get used to it ^^
Maybe there is solution friend, we have to trace out
And...why people dare to use different ROMs...i am very afraid to do things like that.., but interested those..
first of all if I have to install CM9...shall I need rooted phone ?
That is simple.
When you buy a SD Card or and hard drive or something like that, for an example, the 16GB it is in 16000000000 bits.
Since 1kb = 1024 bytes, doing the math...
16000000000 bits = 14.9011611938477 gigabits
yup, and is the same for every storage device, I also had a 16Gb but from Kingston and it shows actuall storage as 14.8Gb
1000 vs. 1024
When you see the space on a disk reported by the operating system (Android, Linux, et. al.) it is usually in units based on a kilo = 1024, commonly used by engineers who work with computers and digital logic:
One kilobyte (KB) = 1024 bytes.
One megabyte (MB) = 1024 x 1024 = 1,048,576 bytes.
One gigabyte (GB) = 1024 x 1024 x1024 = 1,073,741,824 bytes.
To make their products seem bigger, manufacturers use definitions of kilo-, mega- and giga- in the way they are commonly used in other disciplines:
kilo = 1000
mega = 1000 x 1000 = 1,000,000
giga = 1000 x 1000 = 1,000,000,000
Read the fine print on the packaging that comes with your flash memory card. Get a microscope and read it.
What, you threw that out one minute after you got home and didn't read the fine print!?!? Well, it's also on their website:
sandisk.com/products/mobile1-memory-products/sandisk-mobile-ultra-microsdhc-and-microsdxc-uhs-i-cards-for-android
Find the footnote marked by **. As you can see, the company is 100% honest.
So, when SanDisk says 16 GB, they mean 16 billion bytes.
But 16 billion divided by 1073741824 is only 14.9012. You are really getting only 14.9 GB (in 1024 byte kilobytes), and that is that the operating system is reporting. Well, you lost some space on the device that is taken up by formatting with FAT32, so that is why you see 14.83 GB, which is what I also get for my SanDisk "16 GB" SD Class 10 card. Read the footnote again. They never promised you could use *all* of the 16 billion bytes! You are lucky you got any space left for your data at all. Maybe they should say "up to almost 16 GB".
I certainly won't defend the policy of SanDisk and other manufacturers. It seems to me that if they want to maintain a good reputation, a better strategy would be to deliver enough space that even after formatting, the device would initially show *more* than they advertise, not less.
I'll be getting this phone in about 4 weeks. As I expect to keep it for at least 3 years, I was intending to get the 256 GB version. Unfortunately here where I live the price difference between the 128 and 256 GB versions is about €150.
Would you recommend spending the extra money on more inbuilt storage or will there be any disadvantages in using a Huawei NM Card? An 128 GB NM Card costs here only about a third of the cost of the same amount of inbuilt storage.
It all depends on your habits, what is your main use? Photos? Games? Music? Also, is your next device going to be a Huawei Device? I ask because the only reason I bought the 256gb Version and not a nanomemory card was because I dont think my next device is going to be Huawei and NM only works on Huawei Devices.
and is 128gb not enough? Is google cloud an option? You could get 100gb on google cloud for like 5 years with $150 or whatever it is in euros.
