[Q] interface - Motorola Droid 4

Just wondering has anyone thought of setting the droid 4 up to use the physical keyboard as an interface to use with other droids? I have a barnes and noble nook color that I have rooted and where it can do bluetooth now or even the wifi we could set it up to where the droid 4 could type and while being interfaced with the nook (or other droid device) recieve that info and work together. Just a thought but how could we do this?

[Q] Possible to use Android phone's physical keyboard on an Android tablet via BT?

I would love to use my Samsung Intercept keyboard via bluetooth to connect to my tablet, rather than carrying around an extra device, i.e. mini bluetooth keyboard. Is this physically possible? Could a program be written to make something like that work?
Try BlueputDroid. It works for me to use my Backflip as a keyboard for my Nook color (though it is a little quirky for me).

Unfortunately I never did find a way, sorry for the late response.

[Q] Keyboard bluetooth profile query

Have looked but not found. Once the Nook Color is rooted does it use the HID bluetooth profile or the SPP bluetooth profile? Or another profile? And does it vary depending on what one uses to root?
I need to know to think about/try bluetooth keyboards. (If it matters, planning to root with Cyanogen mod either on my own or buying chip. Probably on my own with Sandisk Class 4 16GB.)
Thanks guys and will share what I learn.

You need to have CM7 rather than just be rooted. It is CM7 that added support for the bluetooth hardware that was in the Nook but was not used until CM7 developers turned it on.
Range of operation can be quite limited and varies from device to device. I successfully use a mini bluetooth keyboard/touchpad (iPazzPort) which connects with a HID profile. This device works well up to about 8 feet away.
Where did you get the keyboard?

You can get them via Amazon. Search for "iPazzport Bluetooth". Be careful to look for the Bluetooth version as they do a very similar model which works via non-bluetooth RF with a special dongle. The model I got is something like KP-810-10-BTT and it has built in touchpad, laser pointer and a USB Bluetooth dongle. They do other models with just keyboards but I liked having the touchpad as well.
I actually got mine on eBay saving a bit more over the Amazon sourced version. I think I paid about $26.
As well as Nook usage I found it works well as a little remote keyboard into my Media Center PC, although I am now using the Nook itself with the Universal Remote App as a remote control for this as well.

[Q] Outputing Android OS at 1156x768 to Lapdock

I just got the $80 Droid Bionic Lapdock and it's working beautifully with my Droid 4 but Webtop leaves a bit to be desired.
What I really want to do is simple. I want to run CM9 and have the tablet UI show up when I dock the phone.
So far I've gotten Android to show up instead of Webtop by using my old Droid 3, however it was not output in the lapdock's native resolution due to the way the phone handles HDMI out. Obviously under normal circumstances you want both screens to be showing the same image but for this to work I need Android to be output at full res (1156x768)
Lets hack it to disable the built in screen and switch over entirely to the HDMI output but at native resolution. I will continue to work on my rooted phone and ICS Droid 3 but if anyone has done any more work please do share!
Not sure what I can contribute but I will gladly help and test on my end. I have an atrix lapdock working at the moment. I would love to either get a webtop2sd to work, or a full debian/ubuntu install running on the lapdock. Let me know if i can test anything.

[Q] PDANet iphone 3gs wifi tether issue

Nook HD+ running CM10.1 (as well as stock Nook HD+) is not recognizing PDANet wifi hot spot generated on iPhone 3gs ios 5.1.1. Reading the Nook users forum, this is a common problem. I thought that CM10.1 would use a different wifi software section than the nook native; but apparently the problem has not changed when CM is used.
Speculation in the Nook user forums is that WEP is not supported by Nook.
Is WEP supported by Android?
There are many flames in the user forums about don't use WEP. PDANet ONLY uses WEP. You cannot turn off authentication or use a different protocol.
I am welcome to other suggestions for wifi tethering Nook HD+ with CM to iphone 3gs ios 5.1.1. No, I cannot upgrade ios; for jailbreak reasons.
I have been able to tether using Nook bluetooth, but that is only one device at a time.

[Q] iPhone file transfer

I'm trying to transfer pictures from my iPhone to nook hd running cm 10.2. I connected the phone using a usb gender changer and USBHost Switch with TPUSBMount to fix power issues. after connecting I tapped trust computer on the iPhone but can't find where to access the iPhone system on the nook in file manager. Also Bluetooth won't connect. Anyone have experiance with this?
