First .. there's no official ICS rom for optimus black. We have unofficial CM9 , but without a working camera and with some bugs.
Now if you want to install CM9 on your phone , you must be rooted. If your rom has root , restart into CWM and follow this instructions :
- Go into ClockworkMod
- Do the follow wipes: /data /cache and /dalvik
- Install zip from sd card and choose the cm-9-XXXXXXXX-UNOFFICIAL-p970.zip
- Choose "yes" and flash
- Reboot

I'm on my phone atm, so I can't give links, but they're on this forum.
1. Get rooted.
2. Get ROM Manager from the Play store and flash CWM.
2. Download the ICS ROM and Google Apps ICS, they're on the blog of FOP.
3. Use Titanium Backup to backup your apps.
4. Reboot in CWM with ROM Manager.
5. Click backup/restore and backup your current ROM.
6. Go back and click Wipe data/factory reset.
7. Click wipe data partition.
8.Go to advanced > wipe dalvik cache.
9. Go back and click Install zip from Sdcard, find your ROM and install it.
10. Go to advanced > wipe dalvik cache again.
11. Go to install zip from sdcard and find your gapps and install them.
12. Reboot, first boot takes some time. If your stuck at the bootlogo, click g-key some times, you will go to CWM. Here you can restore your ROM you used before.
13. Go to the play store and get titanium backup and restore your apps.
Press thanks if i helped
EDIT: If you want to try JB, you do the same but you get JB gapps.

Its is good to be and accept NOOB but its really bad to act like. He has cleared already in his above post " there's no official ICS rom for optimus black. We have unofficial CM9".
I dont see any reason to ask again and again. And you question is vague. Can you please give us a video about your OB e.g Is it rooted, which rom are you using, which version you have and etc?

He's not a noob guys, he's just a newbie... I don't like the term Noob, just sound harsh to me xP
Anyway to install any unoffical CM9,ICS or ICS based roms you must (of course) be rooted and have clockworkmod recovery.
Always backup before installing any rom!!
Here is a list of some ICS roms:
Unofficial CM9 by nunogil
Unofficial CM9 by FreeOptimusProject
Ultrasound Rom HD Beats Edition by blacktecktonik
MIUIv4 Ultrasound by blacktecktonik
Unoffcial AOKP by koila33
PanaroidAndroid by koila33
Motorola Blur by DiederikC
I may have missed one or two sorry about that lol
Apparently the most functional ones may be Ultrasound Rom HD or both Unofficial CM9, both having camera glitch and no HW acceleration due to no official kernel from LG.
Hey I would recommend you to wait a little because apparently official ICS from LG will roll out on September 25.... I don't know if it's true. But till then, wait for the end of September before flashing any unofficial ICS roms.
EDIT: Since you are unrooted, follow THIS THREAD or more specifically THIS ONE
EDIT: there's a CM10
But it's in an early stage CyanogenMod10 Jelly Bean by chenleicpp
The rom has same bugs as ICS + audio not working and some other bugs

Zeus Rom is the most popular rom right now!!
It's extremely stable, with new tweaks/features like Quickpanel, OverCloking, Voltage changer, and many many more!
That's what I'm using while waiting for official ICS

Erm this one you could have searched it yourself lol..
The Blog containing links
The Original thread containing discussions, tutorials, etc
Latest version is v7 but maybe it's not as stable as v6.39
First of all seriously READ my noob how to. Then you ll learn, how to root your device, install custom ROMs,... Also links to many ROMs are in there. Then go to the dev section of this forum and have a look at all the ROMs. Choose whatever you want, backup your device, install the ROM, test it, choose if you wanna keep it or not and continue with another ROM, if you dont like it.
Please dont ask for more noob how to's, if you are not willing to read. Not meaning to flame you, but if you dont understand of what you are doing, chances are rather high, that you will screw up your device. And I think that is nothing that you wanna do.
So read my noob how to, follow links if necessary and follow the tutorials given. Any questions left? Search here on the forum. Still questions left? Ask google. Still questions? Come back and ask. But please dont ask for things, that are there already. I made that noob how to for a purpose. It was meant for noobs like you and me (since we all start as noobs somewhen).
So go and read now please. And you wont get it all in one day, so take your time, ok?
Nice one

Hi folks, I grew sick of all the ROMs for ace & decided to go back to DDKQ8 as it has 153 MB free on system & a lot of free ram after a fresh flash via odin. I had in mind that I'll root this & flash adrenaline engine 4.4, adrenaline boost v3 & cronmod int2ext+. But after flashing via Odin & rooting the stock ROM by flashing upd_1.zip , cwm & installing su from play, I was suddenly reminded that the stock rom doesn't have support for the init.d scripts basically. I decided to give it a try by flashing int2ext+ & all the above mentioned scripts. But after the flash, nothing happened. Can anyone tell me how to add the support for these scripts on stock ? Awaiting your quotes, thanks in advance !

Hi to everyone...

Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
Just port the rom you like to the rom with the kernel easy to do there is a few threads on here and a few youtube videos or download the kernel seperate and flash it
Sent from my GT-S5830
Kernel=boot.img
Take boot.img from the 'good battery life one' and replace the one in the 'good looks' one
However, take care as to not take a CM kernel and put it in a stock kernel. If you do that, your device will get bricked as cm kernels aren't compatible with stock kernels.
Which are these roms you are talking about?

my friend as you live in india like me i would suggest a good option that is install stock rom latest 2.3.6 on your ace if you are not fond of themes and looks
root it
flash recovery
create ext partition as you like {256 if you need less apps and 512 if you need more apps you can go up to 1 gb }
install cromod intext+ script {mount data and system before flashing this}
after installing all necessary apps
install fly on mod by seeing the procedure and pure performance
if you wanna save battery try battery extender kernel
