Does any one know a solution to this problem? I have been trying hell all possible ways. No luck yet. EAP are corporate networks generally used in Universities and big companies.

i have the same problem with wep security at work... worked great on my skyrocket but my ahd wont connect at all... very frustrating!
Same problem for me, mschapv2 peap will not authenticate. I didn't even feel like asking because I figured it would be useless.
does it happen in both ics and jb? did you try this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1988487
this would be an extreme oversight
Happens at my school too. works fine with every other device i connect but ahd doesnt like it on both ics and jb

This got solved. The major problem was with the busy box. I don't know why. I uninstalled that and in rooted it and the eap WiFi networks is working fine.

It doesnt happen for me... I dont have busybox, unless it installs itself when I root.

What does the issue with router have to do with ISP? two different things.
I also have issues with my wi-fi turning on and off whenever it wants, interestingly it happens on newer routers that have 5G, so I disabled 5G on my phone and disabled ATT smart WiFi. happening less now..

When I had AT&T Uverse service, the whole system ran through a 2wire router that includes a WAP. That's probably what he's referring to.
Also this thread can get deleted by now. Problem was solved.

Wouldn't the better option be to fix your Wifi so it's not using horrendously bad security? WEP encryption is so badly broken these days that it's like leaving the door locked with the window wide open.

Depends on which router you have, I'd need the brand and model number of it. If you have a modem and a router separate, I just need the router (the router is the one with several network ports in the back).

WPA and WPA2 are worse just so you know. I can crack either in a matter of minutes with reaver/aircrack

No, they're really not, especially WPA2.
You claim minutes, but it only takes seconds to crack WEP, so uh, yeah. And as far as I know, WPA2 doesn't have any major exploits against itself yet, unless WPS is enabled.
Anyone else having problems using this? The one under the Wi-Fi Settings.
I also tried using Super Beam transferring between 2 HTC One's and did not work. Not sure if this is related.
Thanks.
Nope, I did exactly that last week and it worked perfectly
Did you get any error messages or just nothing happened? I couldn't get the NFC part to work but the qr code established a wifi direct connection fine.

This is SuperBeam right?
How about the wifi direct, directly under wifi settings? We're you able to use it?

Yes that's right.
Forgive me if I'm missing something, but I don't think you can "use" wifi direct by its self. It's just a temporary network between 2 devices to transfer information, so you need some kind of app to send/receive the information (like superbeam). That option under wifi is just to enable it on the phone.

Hello everyone I tried searching before posting this but I couldn't really find any good info
Ive stock 4,3 not rooted and I've no idea about my bootloader but most probably locked
I'm having a sudden Wifi disconnect like each 20 minutes and when I don't have a disconnect the net is terribly slow!
I'm wondering anyone else having same troubles or it's just my bad luck...

I had problem with my wifi on android 4.2.2. Problems were likely like yours. Yesterday i have flashed my phone to stock notbranded android 4.3 and it works like charm. Maybe you should think about also updating your phone with this ROM ?

Stupid question but is could it be a router problem, since you also had problems with other versions? Or do you have this problem with other wifi networks too?

Hello,
Since the official update to Android 4.3 I also get issues with wlan when I am at work.
It might connect normally at first
But after some time I notice that I do not longer get data over it and most of the time it does no longer find the wlan in the settings, everyone else however can still connect fine, however most people are using iPhones but Even a galaxy s3 had no issues so it is no issue with the access point.
I also had it 2 times that I couldn't even disable wlan anymore (active again after reopening the settings)
Funny thing is that I have no issues with my home wlan that is a fritzbox.
On android 4.2.2 I never had an issue.
Everything stock, no root.
I am using a smartwatch 2. Not sure why it got mentioned here.
Check the router for a seeing that users 2 channels at once to increase bandwidth (not a dual broadcast setting for n and g or 2.4 and 5GHz). I have seen this problem on several android phones when enabled.

Okay, so I'm having a WiFi problem. We just got the Comcast arris modem/router combo, which I know isn't the best, but it was parents choice.. so I'm stuck. I get very slow WiFi speeds , .5 -4 mbps depending on closeness to router. My family and friends with other phones such as iPhones and galaxy phones are getting around 20mbps down. Things I have tried are - flashing WiFistock.zip fix, restarting router, changing channel on router, changing secruity type, disconnecting and reconnecting, restarting phone, I'm nof sure what else I can try.. I can't stream HD Video anymore and I used to watch a lot of it.. any idea and help would be appreciated , thanks in advance !

Could just be an upright router-phone problem. Phone gets full true speeds in other router coonnections. Don't see how my router could be working for others but not my HTC one.. maybe I'll just have to live with it

I don't know if this helps, but try setting your modem to b/g/n mixed rather than N only (or if its set on b/g/n, change it to N only).
I had problems with wifi and mixed modes solved them.
Will try, thanks for the tip!

Change the DSN to global and try.
Still, the problem persists. I have done as much as I can think of. Maybe I'll call Comcast and ask for a software update if it's available, not sure what else to do.
