I got sent the back order email days ago. It days I should get my phone with in 3 weeks.
Who else got one of these? Do you have any info to share? Is it still 3 weeks or is it 2 now seeing add it has been a week since order?
I know there are other threads related but not a single just for back orders and I think it would be help full to get an idea of how many back orders there are.

I got the BO email on the 15th. Nothing changed since then with my order.
CS told me the 3 weeks is from the BO email date.
But who the F believes them anyway. They don't know ****.
Can we have a thread so we can get an idea of how many are back ordered. An imaginary club within a limbo thread is worthless on an info perspective.

Me to.... I did not get my order in until late as well. I never got any shipping estimate though.
Also my payment is no longer on hold. Money is back in my bank account.
One thing I worry about is possibly getting someone's return. I would rather get my phone from a new batch then to get one that someone returned for some minor issue like a rattle or something.

I got two backorder emails, the initial one and one yesterday. :c
Apparently both my phones are on backorder, I ordered them separately around 9;40 PST.

we do need a separate thread because watching those in limbo is terrible for us on BO.

Yeah dude, that spread sheet was awesome. I would kind of like one though that is updated and narrowed down just to back orders. Many on that spread sheet have gotten their phones by now. I am trying to figure out who is going top have to wait.
Why is it that they keep saying 3 weeks? I got bthe back order a week ago or almost. When I asked cs if it was 3 weeks from the time I got the email or 3 weeks from now he never replied. What scares me most though is than when I asked if he could guarantee a 3 week time frame he said no.
I get the feeling that 3 weeks was sort of made up to get everyone of their backs.

I called earlier today and the guy was like.. 'I really don't know how long backorders will take. It can be a week, three weeks, etc. We ship them out as soon as we get stock in.' Meaning they really are out of stock? I don't know.

I ordered one on Monday after I unexpectedly sold my Touchpad. The Site said 1 to 2 weeks back ordered which I was fine with. The next day it changed to 3 to 5 or 2 to 4, I can't remember. Now it says coming soon with a notification sign up thing. I couldn't find any info on this because every news item is about the pre orders and Google isn't getting back to me. Anyone have an idea of when the next batch of 16s will ship?

A long time. The 16GB version has sold out practically everywhere worldwide so don't expect it to be soon. There is a very high demand for this tablet. I would say around 2-5 weeks you would have to wait for the device.
I ordered mine on the July 17th at a Staples store. It as in my hands by the July 20th.

I got mine the other day because I pre-ordered. Pretty much every (if not every) distributor is sold out now. The demand for the 16 gig model is HUGE. Google just van keep up.

I ordered mine through Walmart (online) on July 18, with promised delivery on July 25.
I called Google about this and they said it might come within the 3-4 weeks range because I was on the border of the pre-orders. Or he said it might come this weekend which it didn't. I ended up ordering from Macmall it said 2-3 days shipping. But it hasn't shipped yet so hopefully tomorrow it ships or I have a problem. I ordered from mac mall early Saturday morning.

Same here, just called the CSR said it will ship by tomorrow. According to her they are not shipping in any order, but the last ones that were ordered are the ones being put on back order. I ordered 11:36 am EST.

yes this is exactly how my order is, maybe I'll call em up. I already changed my order on BSE for the cheaper shipping option though.

Ok I just got off the phone with one of the supervisors of CSR, who has also ordered a NEXUS 4 and is VERY bummed out too about this email. Ok the orders ARE being shipped out as they were ordered. EARLIER first. "Nicole" told me that they were told to say 3 weeks as a guesstimate because Google is trying to mass send sections of orders out. What she told to imagine is that the shipping process is a cube right? So they cut it up in to bits and send sections of orders out by earliest order time. So here is the story she says that all ordered phones hopefully are completely out by 3 weeks tops. I hope Nicole is right because she did sound angry and sad, also saying how she was one of the many disappointed on how google handled this situation.

I hope not. Its only a guess but it seems that the UK Play Store has been receiving shipments around every 3 weeks or so. Nov 13 = Launch, Dec 4th = Launch 2, Dec 20th = Mass shipping emails go out to huge number of people on XDA UK Thread with guys taking delivery starting the following day 21/12 through to [on mass] 24/12.
For now, it seems that rather than taking delivery of stock and just putting up for sale on Play Store and shipping out to first orders - google took the 3rd delivery and held back to ship outstanding orders like they SHOULD have done with the 2nd batch.
I say again this is just my guess - as like everybody else I have nothing but an opinion.
Thread closed. Please don't create more shipping/stocking threads as there are plenty you can already use.

When did you place your chromecast order with play store? what was your initial estimate and when was it shipped?
It helps others like myself whose order is "Pending".
I placed my order on Aug 8th. The estimate was 2-3 weeks and the order is still pending .
Update:
Looks like I've placed duplicate orders. So, I've two extra chromecasts to get rid off. They will ship from google on Aug 29th to my US address. They will be shipped to Bangalore,India immediately after delivery at my US address. Send me a PM if you are interested. You will pay only whatever it costed me to get them here, not a penny extra

I ordered on 7th Aug. Mine is pending too.Status on google play says ships by 29th Aug.
Order #1: Ordered July 24th. Google said it would ship August 2nd. It arrived July 29th, much earlier than expected.
Order #2: Ordered August 6th, Google said shipping in 3-4 weeks. Online lookup in the play store says it will ship by August 29th.
Ordered on 29th July. Expected shipping date 23rd august.

Just an FYI. A pending debit doesn't actually remove the money from your account, it's just a hold. You can call your bank and release that hold at any time.

I really hope us 12/2 people get our orders early. I would like to have it for the Thanksgiving weekend.

I think if Moto ships out orders by next Tues(7 days from today) we would have the phones by the 26th. Not to mention that Fedex could deliver Friday the 28th too.
We don't need a separate "waiting room" thread for every combination of order date and vendor.
