upgrading by kies

hi all
kies refer to firmware upgrade. every times I start windows but when i follow the instuctions shows the latest version is installed is there any relations wit upgrading to gingerbread

what exactly does you mean mate? are you already in gingerbread? if so, you hae to make sure :
1. the battery is full
2. quality of connection
3. back up the data
4. plug n play for about 45' (my experience upgrading firmware dxjpc - dxjpe)

every times i start windows a pop up note in the tray indicate that there are firmware upgrade aviable for my galaxy tab click here to procede
clicking open kies but it says this is the latest firmware installed

any update please?

When you start windows the pop up that you see might be the "kies update" not the firmware update. My systems(both on windows 7 and xp) will not tell me of a firmware update for the tab unless I start kies and connect my tab to the pc.
2 things you can do for us to see your problem:
1. do this on the phone app-*#1234# and post here the result OR
2. better still post here what kies says about your firmware:
like: PDA= PHONE= CSC= (sales code here)
then somebody here can answer you....

i heard samsung offered gingerbread to galaxy tab 7 middle east edition is that make sense to the note above

There is still no official kies update for your tab which is Arabic firmware.....

[Q] Problem in update Ace T-mobile TPL

Hi Friends,
I am new to XDA
I am using Samsung Ace GT5830 its an T-mobile.
I brought my ACE from Singapore but i am using in INDIA. My problem is i am unable to update via Kies as it shows region message alert. I cannot update via "software update" in device.
How do i choose an updated Firmware which works, where i can get it ?. Please check attached screenshot.
If i change my firmware to India Release, do i face any problem ?
How to do Flash, is there step tutorial where i can learn and workout with my device.

get a firmware from samfirmware.com and flash it through odin (search for that in xda)

[Q] Firmware upgrade failed.... Need help ASAP

I have Samsung Galaxy Tab gt-p1000 and was upgrading from 2.3.3 to 2.3.6 but it hanged up ...I can't recover my phonve via KIES and I tried to download firmware from samfirmware.com but there was no firmware for ours country India still I tried with Open Asia firmware and flash my mobile using Odin3 now while booting it only shows up SAMSUNG logo but cannot start the phone. I too don't know the PDA, CSC number of my phone. So please let me know where to download 2.3.3 for India and recover my phone....

Firmware 4.1.2 upgrade problem

Hi,
I have got my S3 few months back from US and currently I am using it in India. Its an international version unlocked phone which is running with Vodafone service provider.
I connected my S3 to Kies and I got a notification that latest firmware avaiable. I clicked on upgrade. And my device was neither in Download mode or Recovery mode when connected to kies via PC.
Kies downloaded the latest firmware & completed, but I cannot see the 4.1.2 on my S3. And now even Kies is not showing me that there is latest version available.
Below are the details
Current firmware version: PDA:LJ2 / PHONE:LID / CSC:LJ2(XEF)
When dialed with keypad @#1234# Now I get-
AP : I9300XXDLJ2
CP : I9300XXDLID
CSC : I9300XEFDLJ2
What is AP & CP. It must be PDA/PHONE. & I think LJ2 still means my android version is 4.1.1 only. How do I update my S3 to 4.1.2 using kies.
I dont want to use Odin as i want my warranty not to be broken.
Note: When i was downloading the firmware through kies, my device was not in download mode. Is that why the upgrade is not applied on S3.

Kies follow the instructions only .
I9300XXDLJ2 is 4.1.1

How to update a Samsung Galaxy GT P1000 ??

I am trying to update my Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 but so far I hit many dead ends. Can someone help ?? I attached a picture of what my tablet is showing as a result of my bad system installation. All link that I followed did not have the necessary files for me to install KitKat via ODIN3. Can someone help ???
