On my 8X when I answer a phone call right after I hit the accept button it makes a choppy sound. It seems to be the sound from the ringer stopping anyway can someone confirm this and have a friend or call your phone from gmail thats what I did. If its just my phone I need to take it back exchange it for another I just bought it on the 18th
Ok guess it was my phone just exchanged it for a new one today

Hi,
Big Problem here. When calling someone I dont hear a sound until the called person takes my call. Strange thing is, when turning on the speaker it rings, turn it off again, no sound in the phone. I can reproduce this for example five times, try it again some minutes later and sound is back again, I hear it ringing in line. Before ringing it makes a silent "click" like sound. But then again after some time it is gone again. I can't make a software setting out for this so what the hell?
Guy at HTC Service told me it could be my Sim Card which probably doesnt accept some new standards blah blah my sim card is about seven years old and never let me down. Could that be?
I got 1.93 ROM installed
Hey guys,
I'm trying to take advantage of that AT&T Tilt's manufacturer's warranty. Here are the issues I currently have, tell me if you guys think I'm eligible or what I should say.
Issues:
-Text Messages sometimes wont send, and I will have to continually reset my phone until it sends
-USB/Headphone jack is kinda loose to begin with, it will switch sometimes from speakers to headphones
-call quality is variable. I will have full bars and some calls will sound clear and others will sound super staticy (I called the 611 AT&T support line with full bars and it was staticy, but i re-dialed with the same number of bars 2 seconds later and it was perfect call clarity)
-sometimes if i press the power button to turn on the phone it will randomly flash on then turn off, and I have to click the power button again.
anyone? what are some things you guys have said to get replacement phones for free

The one thing I miss about my AT&T Tilt is when I got a phone call I had the option to answer, ignore(send to VM), silence ringer, and the best option ever which was "Send Text"
When I pressed send text the phone would send to caller to VM and then send an SMS to that calling number that said "I am currently busy, I will call you back as soon as possible."
Just FYI.
would be nice to have that on our g1's. i dunno y no one ever thought of it sooner....... GENIUS. contact a dev would be great to get this in motion
This would be a nice thing to have, def send it to a dev to see if we can get in motion, well the text part, silience just hit volume, end button to ignore
Has anyone else had this problem. For the entire time I have had my phone it has done this occasionally. Where when a incoming call comes in, the second I slide to answer it just reboots the phone.
A problem is that the call doesn't end up in the call log if it is not a number I know it makes it impossible to call back.
I have no idea if it does it when I totally miss the call and don't attempt to answer which is worse since I will have no indication of a missed call since I have trained people not to leave voice mails since I hate checking them. (and I don't, they leave after they get deleted as old by my carrier)
I have had this problem on official 2.1-update1, G.O.T. 2.2.1 leak and the Cyanogen port. So it seems pretty widespread.
so when I get a new text or missed phone call, unlike my other phones, I have no idea when I get these unless I actually turn the phone on and check. is there anyway fix this? or do I have to wait for mango?
Mine does this also! no message alert or ringtone even with the volume at 30, i've noticed when it does this you can hear a hissing coming from the speaker on the back, if i re start the phone it is fine for a while.
