Is there any way to reset binary count when phone is super-bricked?
If it's superbricked you won't be able to enter download mode... What makes you say it's superbricked?

There's a kernel you can flash which will clear the counter, but I'm not sure where it is, someone else will be able to help.
What methods have you tried to resurrect it?

Yea! Aside from the fact I had to download Flashtool etc.
I didn't flash a kernel straight away though. I verified my phone in s1tool and it said 'SEMC' so then I continued on to step two
Which was the unlock. I ran msm_7227_semc.cmd and it was done!
It booted and s1tool had a lower case 'R's.

You only get an error in Flashtool since it can't write the kernel due to the boot loader not being unlocked.
You can actually spare you the trouble as there's no sense in trying to flash the kernel when you KNOW that the boot loader is not unlocked.

No offence, but how exactly would you, even try, to flash a kernel without having a PC? Flashing a kernel requires FlashTool, which is a PC/Mac/Linux programme.

Hi, one year ago I bought a SGS i897 from swappa for my girlfriend, the phone stopped working 1 month ago, so I searched for a logic board which is now installed in the phone, and its like this:

My question is, seeing that information in the picture above, which is the EASIEST way to root and install CWM recovery in the device?
Im planning to root it using Superoneclick and then I want to upgrade it to ICS using Euroskank rom.
My questions are:
1) Is superoneclick the most reliable and easiest way for rooting this device?
2) Which is the easiest way for flashing a custom recovery?
3) When I have completed this two steps, do I need to do anything before flashing?
I know this are stupid questions, and I excuse myself because of it, but I havent modded an android for a long time.
Thank you very much!

Superoneclick for Root since u r on KB1.
For cwm recovery, find a Dev KB1 Kernel (.tar) in the Dev forum and flash through regular Odin.

Please search for Xperia x8/ Update Service setup in google and install the software in your PC then do the below steps.
1) switch off your phone
2) Press the back button continuously and connect the USB cable from your system to phone.
