IDK if someone have noticed that in the new released version when you touch or make an action it takes some milliseconds to react and do it.... For example if I am playing jetpack joyride I'd I touch the screen to make it fly it registers it half second later... I didn't had this problem in 4.1.2 and it's starting to kinda annoy me I went to developers settings to see of it was detecting my touch at the moment and it does record it exactly at the moment but it takes that milisecond or less to react and make my action

I've noticed a whole range of problems with 4.2
I have noticed your's.
Noticed lots of lag around the homescreens and app draws.
Alot slower than 4.1.2 and thats even with a custom kernel.
So yeah. 4.2 is too much eye candy not enough speed/smoothness!

My HTC Hero has various touchscreen problems among others. The main problem is the touch sensors do not work properly. I have to reboot the phone to get it working for a small while (roughly 10 minutes) before the screen craps out and does some very weird things:
It thinks I am constantly touching the top region of the screen
The touch sense overloads, meaning it senses the presense of anything around it. It is the weirdiest thing I have ever seen. I can hover my finger over the screen and it will allow me to control the touchscreen.
None of the other areas of the screen are functional except for the top, and whenever I touch the screen the Notigcations bar would come down. Sometimes this isn't the case and the phone just doesn't do anything upon touching the screen.
The battery life is very low.
Bootinf the phone takes a lot more time than when I first bought it, this is somewhat understandable however, having gone through many operation system changes.
I've lost all hope.
Buy one of these and replace the screen...

Are you running stock HTC Sense? Before I rooted and installed CM I had a huge problem with the stock Sense ROM, similar to what you were doing. Pressing buttons on it's own, the screen was shaking and would not stop and the screen was unresponsive. Once I got rid of Sense the problem went away and I haven't had it sense I flashed CM back in October.

Have you tried to do a full, complete wipe of the phone? Sometimes just doing a factory reset isn't enough. What recovery are you using?

I don't can't be sure but I thought I remember seeing a touchscreen calibration setting in the stock rom when I first got my hero. But that was a long time ago. Something you might want to look into.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
It is mentioned here. http://m.androidcentral.com/questions-about-sprint-htc-hero
Hi, this is David. I have the optimus 4x, and i have to admit that it's one of the best devices i've owned so far, i've just been wondering about a few issues that shouldn't exist with a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. I will list them here and wish anyone could help.
1- The Camera
Not the video focusing issue which is fixed after the V10e update, now it's photos turn. When i open the camera, everything looks sharp and great, but it's not after capturing the photo because when i look at the photo in the gallery, it's somehow out of focus and the picture looks ugly overall. I've tried resetting the camera settings and tried other camera apps but no difference.
2-Game lags
That's something i saw people talking about and they said that these games aren't optimized for Tegra 3 because it was new in the market. So now why they're still lagging, even very basic games like subway surfers.
3-Incoming call screen lag
This screen is represented in two ring buttons (accept or reject) with waves coming out of them, i have to say this screen is very laggy so i can't just swipe my finger to accept the call but i have to do it slowly and wait a second before it's done of accepting the call.
4-Youtube
Sometimes a video lags once or twice in a 5 mins video which doesn't happen when watching other videos in gallery.
Yes, i know that's too much issues but what makes me confused is the device's overall speed when browsing the web and others... Even the benchmarks are showing excellent scores that sometimes beat the HTC one X. So what could be the problem?!
2. - on my , lags also Tegra optimized games ... so LG FW suck ... wait for JB, and after that (if stock dont fix it) come CM
Odd... I've had two different Call screens. One was with the circles to swipe like the S2/S3, the other was with square buttons to tap. Don't remeber in what app I was when the screen changed tho.
I've never noticed the lag in the incoming call screen, or maybe I didn't bother with it. As for YouTube it naever game me issues.

one is when you recieve a call while device is locked (the swype one), the other one is when you recieve the call when it's unlocked (button one)
i have no lag on youtube, gaming is great with a slowdown now-and-then (NFS MW, for example. Vice City played with no lag at all), and camera is as good as any smartphone, even though i didn't quite test it as mmuch as i should've.

Oh I see, I got the button call once when I was messing around with my phone (First day I got it).
Vice City gives me no issues whatsoever, no lag at all just a short audio pause once in a while but hadly noticeble.
NFS works well IF there are only 2-3 card rendered on-screen, otherwise the framerate just drops. I believe it's the reflections... if there would be a way to disable them on other cars and keep them on yours the game would run smooth. Funny how the lag itself gives me a warning.. if framerate drops be sure there's a roadblock ahead.
All the other games I've played so far are smooth (Asphalt 7, NOVA 3, Shadowgun.)
As for the camera, I haven't really tried it. I'm not the photo-taker kind of guy.

I don't know what's wrong with your phone. It's rather odd.
I'm on Stock ICS with v10h (no flashes, no root, I have the phone as I recieved it). I'm halfway trought Asphalt 7 same as for Vice City.
NOVA 3 gave some lag issues on the first level then it stopped. Shadowgun (Specially the second one, the multiplayer) gave me no lag at all, everything is fine.
The one thing that bugs me about the phone currently is the poor battery life. Think that if you have 2150 mAh your battery would last, but nope. It's the poor LG software and bloadware that sucks it up, I might root my phone once JB rools out to get rid of some useless services.
Had this phone a few months.. Quite a lot to like, nice size, screen, etc.. The camera isnt the hottest, had some focusing issues but nothing I cant live with for now.
But the pauses are really too much to bear, its the first time I have had a non Nexus phone since the N1 and kind of regretting it.
Currently using the ROW Rom with google now launcher.. Was using Apex launcher but that seemed even worse. Do any of the other ROMs (I see a 'stock like' nexus ROM out there) work smoother ??
Any tips or ticks.. Sometimes when waking the phone up theres a huge lag, so much so it becomes unuseable for a bunch of seconds as it starts app switching or adjusting app focus.
The specs say it should be able to keep up, it feels like a implementation or memory design flaw..
So no ones got any ideas...
Do others have the same multi second hangs and pauses ??
Hello everyone!
I have an Honor Play, and it seems to be a great phone. But I have one big problem: if one finger is already touching the screen, putting an other finger on the screen and moving it respond only after a short time.
This occurs in all the games I tried.
This is not clear, I know... Let's take an example. In PUBG, I have my left finger on the screen. The I want to rotate my view. So I touch and move my right finger. But there is a small delay (maybe 100ms or something) before the view rotates.
I feel like it's coming from the ROM (HiTouch maybe, because it use two fingers touch), because I don't have this behavior with others phones.
Of course I tried to disable HiTouch, but it doesn't change a thing :'(
Does someone have this issue? And maybe a way to solve it?
Touch delay
I Had the same problem too..since the 1st day I bought honor play to play Pubg.. since I'm a hardcore gamer.. Not only Pubg.. Same to goes to other FPS games Such as crisis action, and free fire battleground.

Help me please!
Me too, Huawei mate 20 lite .. I thought I was the only one having this "software" problem. Weird.
Hello, friends
I heard about all the complaints about the touch issues on this phone, so i went and try that touch scree test
Turns out, during the test, the phone records input that i didn't made, but, for my surprise, out of the test in real use, i never got any ghost touching any zoom problems, scroll problems, nothing.
I have the phone for more than a month now. EU snapdragon version, fully UNLOCKED (6GB/128)
I even try to make the ghost touching happen in real use, scrolling just like i did in the test app i tried it on youtube; instagram; reddit; youtube music; play store; on the samsung news feed, etc...
Does anyone also had a positive test, but didn't had any real issues?
Thanks
video of some guy about the problem:
I also had a positive test, but I didn't have any real problems or at least I didn't notice them!

Weird right?
Gives me mixed feelings about it,because the problems that are being reported are impossible to note notice if you or me had them
It's like a fake positive in a COVID-19 test XD
Looks like the latest firmware update has fixed the problem.

This is a problem for people who play games like pubg mobile. The top left corner which is on left of camera for me the problem lies there. While keeping 2 fingers on screen and pressing with the 3rd finger on top left side of screen will result in a double tap instead of single most of the time
