Best battery touchwiz based rom? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What rom has the best battery life? Looking for a touchwiz based rom.. I had Alliance ICS Rom and battery was pretty good, now I have Ultimate JB rom and my battery life is pretty horrible. Phone died yesterday after a few hrs and being at half charge.

What AA said.
Anyway, battery life has nothing to do with Rom. It depends on
1) kernel
2) apps/syncs you are running
3) modem

Are you talking about TW based JB rom? If yes, then all the TW based leaked roms almost have same battery life AFAIK..you can try the new leak which eybee posted today..OR better option would be to stay on the same rom which you are on now & remove all the bloatware..u can see battery lasting longer than now

I have bought a high capacity Gold Battery 3500 mAh (Ecell - GOLD 3500MAH BUSINESS BATTERY) , and that made the difference. From 1: 30 screen time to 4 hours. It is very cheap and works really good.
So, in my case every JB ROM was very similar at the time of battery life. Looking at the Accessory thread I found good reviews of this battery, so I just ordered in Ebay . and I am very happy now. It is incredible for me to go to bed with almost 50% of battery after a heavy day usage.

[Ongoing Review] 1400mAh Anker Battery for Samsung Galaxy Ace

Today I received my new Anker 1400mAh battery for Samsung Galaxy Ace from Amazon. I used Prime and got it in less than 24 hours.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B005WFJ0W2/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
Current Update (Newest First):
Took phone with me to see the Olympics. The battery survived 16h with lots of camera use and constant 3G access (Except in the tube.)
Battery is great! I'd highly recommend it!
Really impressed with the battery! Lasts all day! Full write-up coming soon.
Been testing for 5 hours now. Battery seems to be holding up! Deep sleep in CM9 is prob helping.
Fully Charged! Test drive this morning!
Now discharged - charging...
Anker Battery charged - is now discharging...
New Anker battery is charging...
Flashed CM9 and OOM changer. Taken out stock battery. Stats wiped.
What I did:
Wiped my phone
I did a clean install of the latest version of Maclaw's CM9 - Beta 9
Installed the OOM priority changer
Wiped battery stats
Charged Anker battery to 100%
Discharged fully
Recharged fully again
Installed JuiceDefender Ultimate (Without AOSP helper as it is incompatable with CM9)
Review:
Build quality of the battery is similar to stock Samsung battery.
Charge time is similar to stock.
Will be testing it out this morning. Will report back later.
Pictures:
Eagerly awaiting the results...I have and Anker 5600mah external battery and it is high quality so I expect this is of the same high quality, keep us posted and good luck with testing
waw very nice
Can you provide a link to page where you bought?
Why should we take 1400mAh battery , we already have 1350mAh battery , so go for atleast 2000mAh battery

What about the 1500mAh ones, did you see the topic where I posted my results?
I'm interested in this Anker battery though even though it's only 50mAh more than the default battery, since it's apparently a trusted brand wheras the 1500mAh battery I got seems to be unbranded, but from my testing results it did give more power, but i'm worried about how long it will last before it starts draining faster and faster due to it being unbranded, wheras the Anker one, being a reputable brand, i'm assuming would have just as good build quality as the Samsung one?
Are you going to post your results soon?

Review Mugen Power 3900mAh Extended Battery

SKU: HLI-NexusSXL
Cell Type: Li-ION
Voltage: 3.7v
Capacity (mAh): 3900
Battery Door: Included
Original Battery Model: AB653850CA (1500 mAh)
Product: Mugen Power 3900mAh Extended Battery for Google Samsung Nexus S / T-Mobile Nexus S with Battery Door
Rom used: my own kwbr rom
Kernel: stock kernel ICS 4.1.1 (3.0.31-g3b0c5d2)
For all that are interested in an extended battery for the Nexus S here is a small review of the 3900mAh extended Mugen battery.
Unpacking and installing
The Mugen 3900mAh for the Nexus S came in the known package including quick start guide how to calibrate the battery. Shipped the day after ordering it arrived within 2 weeks. First thing you will notice is the size of the battery as well as the battery door. These are quite huge.
The 3900mAh battery has a perfect fit although I had to use some pressure the first time installing the battery. Battery door installed without any problems.
Using the battery
Although the backcover is pretty huge, making the Nexus S really a bulky phone, strange thing is it gives a great grip. So, let's clear battery stats after installing the hardware. After a week of usage I can say the battery is great. I can run this device for days! Check images for stats and info.
The Verdict
A very good battery although not cheap. No need to charge the phone on a daily basis instead of the stock battery. In the end I think I will only use this battery when on holidays. It will give you a brilliant battery life ... but it also completely changes the way the Nexus S feels. And that's one thing I like about this device. Conclusion in the end is it highly depends on personal taste and real need for a bigger battery. More juice you will get for sure!

FYI to drop a bit on the price, if you buy from Mugen official website, they offer a facebook discount. And their customer support is also very good quality. And i think all together this battery is worth every penny, it is a very good accessory indeed.
Thanks for the review, does NFC (Beam) still work with the extended battery cover?

[Q] My SGS is extremely draining, battery weak? [cm10, sema2.5]

Hey people,
I have an Galaxy S i9000 wich is about 2-3 years old.
Since a year my battery is draining a little fast, but since a month its sick and frustrating because it last -+3 hours when using whatsapp/music 70% of the time (7 hours with less use).
Thats not nice, and I thought my battery could getting weaker becaue my phone is almost 3 years old*.
ROM: Cyanogenmod 10, 4.1.2
Kernel: Semaphore 2.5, I9000XXJVT
I don't think it's just the rom, Android 4.0 was draining also (but still better battery life in comparisation with 4.1.2...)
Now my question is, do you think purchase a new battery for the I9000 will solve this problem?
Thanks in advance
lajostkm
It seems that the problem is the battery itself, i would try to replace it
Had the same case as you (even same rom and kernel) and i changed the battery... now it's a lot better with almost 24hrs of battery use between one charge to another
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
It's possible your battery has degraded but you can install the Better Battery Stats app to get a better idea of what is eating so much battery.
Thank you, I will purchase a new battery soon. One more question, are the smartphone batteries (SKU: 59974) from DealExtreme good? I mean, this is from a Chinese wholesale site (made in China) so I'm not sure about good battery performance.

Optimus 2x Extended Battery 3200mah

Hello guys,
i have seen many O2x users are complaining about battery backup with stock battery & they want to opt for extended battery for their devices.
Then here we go, if you are from India, then surprisingly on ebay.in there is a sale of Seidio Extended Battery 3200mah for O2x at just 1800rupees($35 approx) which is very low price for Seidio Battery.
If you are really interested then grab it from the below link:
http://www.ebay.in/itm/LG-Optimus-2...?pt=IN_Mobile_Accessories&hash=item27cfa49b6c
Note: I'm just trying to help the one who are in need of Extended battery, I'm not selling my items here.
Battery Compare
Hey there,
Ive tried the battery with 3500 mAh, but it isnt that much better. Max 3 ours.
I also tried the andida 1950 battery, this one does also not provide a better battery life.
I have just bough another 1500 mAh one from obostore, this is is just working similar as the 3500 mAh one.
Strange but true.
Im on Ics, 4.0.4.
Regards,
WyCkson
I got 3500mAh extended battery from china. It seems to work pretty well ( from my reckoning its about 2500-3000mAh).

I get about 36 hours of moderate use (Wifi, some internet browsing, downloading stuff, a bit of video streaming, small periods of heavy gaming, about 4 hrs of music, single core mode on kowalski kernel for about a quarter of the time)

No reboot, but if you use the battery along with the original, please consider to keep the phone without battery for approx 2 minutes before changing battery. In my experience, It solves wrong battery status.
I use 2 bateries and its fine for me, one battery 2 days can gt normaly
it too big

Battery on my galaxy s3lte sucks

I recently bought my s3 new and i'm disappointed in the batterylife.
Yesterday I fully charged my fone before i went to work and put it unused in my pocket and by break time more then 68% of my battery was gone i had only 32% left of battery life.
In total my fone used up to 90% off batterylife without being used. Anyone any ideas???

Same here can't find the root of the problem
Got a external charger...

My battery life sucked till I installed boeflla v12.7a beta. I used to run out of battery each day with every other kernel I tried.
I'm now on v12 stable and battery life is still great. I have undervolted cpu and gpu by 0.25v and using pegasusq moderate governor.
