[Q] Galaxy S3 Mini: Bluetooth SIM-Access-Profile (rSAP) support? - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does the Galaxy S3 Mini (GT-I8190) have Bluetooth SIM-Access-Profile (rSAP) support?
With rSAP Support in supported car handsfree systems the exterior antenna can be used.
Not many Android phones support this but the Galaxy S, S2 and S3 do so...
I'd be very interested in the S3 Mini, however an extensive search did not reveal any information whether this is the case or not for the S3 Mini...

If there's any app that checks for what Bluetooth profiles are supported I'd be more than happy to help!
Else, do you know of a way to check this (without having a car with a handsfree system that is )?

Unfortunately the only way to check I know is a car that requires or at least supports the SIM-Access-Profile.
The little information I've found so far is that the S3 Mini probably does NOT support it (but I've found nothing definitive)...

The VW premium hands free is not using the rsap profile, so I think it is not available

Yes it does, i just tested it with my Kenwood Head-unit.

What version you are running? What Kenwood unit did you use?
I run 4.1.1 the official one that my phone came with and it doesn't work with the Mercedes Remote SIM Phone. My i9000 (S) did and a i9100G (S2) did very well. Why is it not in the stock firmware?

the headunit is a KDC-BT60U.
I running official 4.1.1 in the galaxy s3 mini, when i paired with the headunit it asked permission to access the sim card.
I also have an first generation galaxy s ,it always worked from gingerbread to jelly-been.
What i love the most is the sms profile thing, sms comes in, the radio notify me and ask me if a want it read out loud, i says "yes" after that i can also reply via voice.
I suspect that the Bluetooth chip/software of s3 mini may be incompatible with your car head-unit.

[Q] Problem with a bluetooth keyboard

Hi, first of all thank you for the fantastic work of this forum and apologize for my bad English.
Recently, I bought a Galaxy Tab. The wireless model, GT-P1010.
I have a problem with a bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard works perfectly with my HTC HD2 with "Typhoon CM7 ROM" in this forum, but I can not connect to the Galaxy Tab.
Any suggestions? I'm desperate.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
your model doesn't support the bluetooth human interface device (HID) stack. so it won't connect to mice, or keyboards.
see? http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa..._ID=0&AT_ID=373931&PROD_SUB_ID=0&PROD_ID=2098
What boodafli said is correct, unfortunately you won't be able to use HID devices with the Galaxy Tab. However, it does support the Serial Port Profile, which means it should work with a bluetooth keyboard that supports SPP, such as the Freedom Pro. Of course, that does have the downside of you having to buy another keyboard :-\
Thank you very much for your answers.
Really appreciate it all the help you can give me. I followed the steps in this manual:
http://i-miss-erin.blogspot.com/2009/09/connect-bluetooth-keyboard-in-android.html
to add the function of HID, but do not get it to work.
Can anyone support me how to do this?
Thanks!
so i find it has a different way of how to work compared to bluetooth keyboard

i know this is a bit of an old thread but I stumbled on to it while using google. I was having problems pairing bluetooth HID with my p1000.
I wanted to let you know as well as any other googlers that happen upon this thread that to solve the issue I upgraded to ICS CM9 stable.
I was originally using overcome rom 4.1.0 and my understanding is that there was some sort of issue with the overcome kernal and bluetooth hid.
I also learned many carriers disabled bluetooth hid either out of the box or with updates.
So to fix the problem I would suggest upgrading to ICS it has worked beautiful for my needs and fixed the problem I was having.
I have paired a bluetooth keyboard bluetooth mouse and ps3 controller.

[Q] [howto] rSap Samsung Galaxy S plus

Hi Guys,
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum!
Im kinda of a android noob and I just recieved my new card (VW Golf 6) with a RNS310 navigation system.
I can connect my Samsung Galaxy S plus with the system but then it says there is no network connection so i can't make phone calls or get called etc..
No i figured out this has to do with rSap, but how do i get this to work properly on my Galaxy S plus?
I have a standaard phone without any roms installed. (fabric std. T-Mobile)
If you need any more information please ask!
I just tried out my phone on a slightly older VW Golf with a RNS310 and there it doenst use RSAP.. and it works perfeclty.
Now i just only need to find a way to get RSAP to work properly or try to connect without it.. :S:S:S anyone?
Sorry for the bump, nobody that can fix this?
Unfortunately I don't have any bluetooth option in my VW Polo (2010 model) so I can't test it out. Maybe you can find any information or any hint on this page? http://forum.android-rsap.com/index.php
There's a pricey app on the market which works well. In bed at the no so can't look it up. I'm waiting on a clever ROM cook to integrate rsap support back into ICS . May be a while though

S3 LTE + mirrorlink

Hi,
I have a galaxy S3 LTE GT-I9305 and have a car headunit from pioneer with a mirrorink box to connect my phone and use the app drivelink.
The problem is that i couldn't get it to work.
On mirrorlink website it stats that it supports the S3 GT-I9300 but doesn't mention anywhere the GT-I9305.
Is any difference of their software possibly causing an incompatibility so i can't get it working?
I have software version 4.3.
Is there any version that i can update and that will work with mirrorlink?

multiple Bluetooth speakers?

Hi,
I was wondering if it could be possible to port a feature from Samsung that allows multiple Bluetooth devices to be connected to the same phone? I don't know if this is something that already is implemented in Pie? Developer options show 'maximum connected Bluetooth devices: 5', so maybe there's something I'm missing?
That's a feature of Bluetooth 5.0. Not sure you can add support for a different Bluetooth version like this at all. Look at the Bluetooth version your phone supports.

Yes it has Bluetooth 5.0. I'll dig into it. Thank You for Your answer!
Ok so the device has to have the dual audio feature currently on Galaxy s8.
And the peripherals have to be 5.0 as well. So, no dice yet for me.
Someone has made a library:
