I noticed if i take any picture's in natural light it's so bright it's almost completely white, the screen the exposure setting's do not seem to make any difference to this issue... happens on stock rom.
any idea's... tried doing a restore (with a md5 mistmatch error). (cwm does not seem to do complete back up's properly).
tried using other camera app's also other rom's (ripper rom).
Is it only front camera?

Been searching the forums for clues, but none seem to concern the SGS(i9000)
problem: camera seems blurry, not out of focus exactly more like what you would expect from an old cameraphone.
suspicions: reacently did a factory restore using rom manager, although I still had froyo installed. phone is less than 2 weeks old. also kies said it was up to date...
solutions: help?
Maybe you didn't set it to 5Mp or your lens is dirty or scratched...
Look like camera shake. Try to talke some pictures in day light and post them here again.
not camera shake. took some pics in daylight that seemed abit better though..
resolution set to 5M
could it be that the camera is extremly sensitive to bad lighting? :S
that would suck because there's no flash..
just notice the size of the picture. 1.47MB as an .jpg is that right?
i am having this same issue after installing a custom ROM on Galaxy S3. my camera was initially fine, but then somehow seems to be streaking and burning out with any lights.. not reverting with fresh installs

The size of the jpg doesn't have anything to do with the blurryness.
The camera isn't sensitive enough to the lighting causing a slower shutter speed. Therefore any slight movement in poor lighting causes blurry photos.
Also take note that it doesn't matter how many mp you have it set at...that will not have a toll on being blurry.
Edit* what was your ISO set at for this photo?

considering both the phone and the light source in the environment you shot, I think is an up-to-standard picture
Well my phone still works fine an everything, but it seems to me that ever since flashing a gingerbread rom to my phone (and then reverting back to stock roms), the camera app doesnt seem to work properly. When I go to look at the pic within the camera app the picture doesnt rotate at all according to how I hold the camera.
So any ideas for whats causing this would be appreciated.
The stock camera app only supports landscape.

Then might be the dust/dirt is on the inner side of the lens covering.
Go to the Samsung service center for the replacement/cleaning of the lens cover.
black spot on camera preview screen and photos
i also started developing ths black dull spot on the camera reen and it alos comes with the pohots and videos i click. This started when i started using the stable version of cyanogenmod 7. first i thought it was dust . but even when i got my camera cleaned it even persists. then i moved back to stock rom but it still there. is it the lens problem of some some fault with other.;{{{{{

Hello guys, I have a problem with the flash led not working properly with the camera. About six months ago when I was on vacation, my phone went on the pool with me, and since then the flash led is very low dimmed while taking pictures.
The strange thing about all, is that the flash led works with full power if I use it with the flashlight apk that comes pre-installed with a mod Rom, but not with any downloaded apk from the store. With the camera and with a downloaded flashlight apk I only get a very low dimmed light.
I know that the Led works, I know that the camera works, so what can be problem? Do I have to change the camera module?

Standard reply factory reset first .
Hi,
My girlfriend just bought a new P9. She took some pictures but there are some problem. In manual setting with high ISO there are a lot of noise and there are few green lines. Even in automatic settings quality of pictures are very poor. Could be an hardware problem? Is it possible to try with another camera App? Any suggestion?
Thank you!
ISO
Hello, I'm new on here but you mean Pro mode? I don't usually mess around with those settings, but i increased the ISO on my camera and it becomes abit grainy so I'm sure it's normal, i will attach the photo, the green lines you mention of im sure you can fix by just a reflash of the firmware or doing a factory reset. It's a great phone, i love it, best phone i ever had, can't wait for the Huawei p10.
Tomorrow I'll try to restore the phone. I read that there are a new firmware, L09C432B136. Now the phone has the L09C02B127 (its a Vodafone P9). Is it possible to install latest firmware over this?

Photos taken with highest available ISO are poor quality on every device, even newest dSLR.
In auto mode the quality is even worse due to greater amount of postprocessing - like noise reduction and sharpening.
When you are using Pro Mode, pictures never will be taken (and showing) as what you see on the phone screen. When you are using Pro Mode, you must use "correct" (maybe perfect) settings for your photograph.
Some of pro settings are can not effect in real-time when you take a photo, this is very normal for pro / like DSLR settings.
A problem with Bokeh mode
Hi guys, I got my P9 about a week ago, and had this issue after the first day or so since using it. So the problem is that in bokeh mode, the aperture size in bokeh mode would not adjust properly. When I tap on the screen to focus, it would do so then the aperture icon would disappear as well as the slider to adjust the depth of field.
Recently I forgot my passcode, and factory resetted the phone, and tested the camera. It was working fine, until the problem arised again. This issue was also in the gallery, where you re adjust the depth of field, and the icon would disappear, but can still be adjust by sliding next to where the icon 'used to be'.
Has anyone got this problem as well?
