Can firmware for GT-I9000 also work for the GT-I9000T? (Please help! please..)

S: the question is simple:
Can firmware for GT-I9000 also work for the GT-I9000T?
I've been looking everywhere for firmware for my model but with no luck at all; I would like to root and update to jelly bean I live in the Caribbean( Trinidad and Tobago) and my carrier is Bmobile. Doing a general and vague google search of the GT-I9000T doesn't even pull up much useful information. All I got from wikipedia is that it is the GT-I9000T is "identical" to the GT-I9000 in terms of form factory. Apparently one supports 850MHz 3G while the other supports 900MHz 3G.
I would have been okay with using Gingerbread by updating my phone on Kies but that horrible abomination won't even recognize my phone. I've tried trouble shooting on 3 different computers with no luck. Would I brick my phone if I used rooting and updating methods intended for GT-I9000

Yes the firmwares are almost equal, as far as i know only the modems are different.

[Q] Which CF-ROOT for GINGERBREAD.BVJVC

Hello everyone
I couldn't find my answer by search (i found one thread with exact problem but no answer.) Just updated from froyo to 2,3,5 gingerbread through samsung kies.
My question is which CF-ROOT file i should use (from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108 ) to root my sisters Galaxy S I9000. I know theres a hint in the thread but I still don't know which CF-ROOT. Maybe because my english is bad ;/
My current system info:

i didn't find it , try to flash another stock rom 2.3.6

I need fast, stable and reliable firmware. I don't want Custom ROM. Only official from Samsung.
I'm Pole and I live in Poland. What do you recommend? S5830XWKTM? S5830XWKTS? S5830XXKPP? Maybe something else?
