Just a question, for Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 , is there any way that I can have a temporary CWM/touch recovery through stock kernel ( stock 3e recovery)
is it possible or not? can some one show me how or any links?
the reason is, i dont want to flash a custom kernel , but i would like to use sometime the functions in CWM.
TQ in advance

i wont be able to use clockworkmod recovery with 3e recovery..i need to be in 2e recovery to flash updates or other ROM's
Well right now i am on stock DDLB2 rom and rooted... Now i want to have clockmod recovery on my phone.
i dont want any kernal.... i want stock kernal + clockmod recovery.
How could i do this please help ?
You need to replace kernel to get CWM
CF kernels are same as stock, you can use CF root kernel LB1 for LB2 ROM without any issue
thanks, lb2 cf kernel is available or not?
Yep available . but you can install CWM Only. Root is not available yet for LB2.

hi all
can any1 tell me how to install recovery on ace 2.2.1 rooted device?
searched a lot but cudnt find?
any link or instructions wud be helpful
thanks.
You need to be on gingerbread to flash CWM 4/5(I recommend CWM 5 for no errors during flashing)
Download the latest gingerbread firmware for your Phone and flash through Odin and after that you can put CWM recovery onto your Ace.
Otherwise the Best solution is to flash Custom ROMs.
But you will need to be on Gingerbread to flash Most of the released Custom ROMs so better flash a gingerbread stock ROM through Odin and then you are good to go.
You can flash CWM v4 on Odin if you're on Froyo

That is for GT-S5830C/i/M. Is no the same than: s5830/L/B
Get CF-Root adpation for Froyo, CWM 4 and Root.
Look in the all roms tweaks and kernels in the dev section

you cannot flash cwm recovery without flashing kernel, zimage is the kernel itself.
why dont you download your stock firmware and keep it as back up?
