I'm looking a clean, stock ROM for the MAHD. I like the some of the motorola features, like swiping certain icons on the homescreen and having transparent windows w/ info about the app pop-up, but I can see the ATT $hit keeping the phone from running 100%. Help?

No to "uninstall" per say, but you'll have access to /system/app as well as /vendor/app where you can either rename or delete the apps

It's goes all right on the phone, after rooting.
You can delete the apps or just freeze them. Use Ti.
Thanks!

Here it is, a stock app installer!!!
What is this?
This is an all in one tool to install any stock app that was removed with GingerVolt. This will only work on a deodexed rom with my Blitzkrieg kernel or stock kernel that came with GingerVolt. If there are any problems, please let me know! Some apps may not like being dodexed and in turn not work. I make no promises on the apps working once installed, I just provided them and a tool to make it easier. Also, GingerVolt Rom includes the App Widget Picker, so the LG widgets will work on any launcher!!!

Brilliant tool. I cannot however seem to get the stock alarm app to show up anywhere. Any suggestions? I am sure it is something I am doing wrong or missed.

You may have to delete the alarm clock app in the rom first with root explorer. It may just not overwrite it.

I am having trouble locating the file I would need to copy. I thought it was alarm.apk but I cannot check the stock install because I do not have the tools to access my backup system.img
Any ideas? I could have sworn it was alarm.apk on the stock image.

I installed this app to try it, "Xperia_Launcher_2.apk" and I do not want to use it and want to remove it.
when I go to installed applications it only gives me the option to force stop.
I not sure how to uninstall the app?

You need a root uninstall app or use a root file explorer to manually remove it.

You can disable it - problem solved But I agree, for those who are rooted, it's best to get rid of what you don't need to...
BTW. they should really STOP putting all this FB/Twitter crap on our phones... you can get those from Play, no need to put it as a "factory app" that can't be removed

My mom has gotten.....jealous, of what my phone can do (it's running PACman). She has the same phone as us but I've given her roms before but she ends up "exploring" files she shouldn't (I spent 4 days once trying to get back multiple, critical files she accidentally deleted...) I was wondering whats the simplest rom for the AHD (it can't be stock cause she knows what that looks like sadly) any Ideas would be great:fingers-crossed:

take whatever ROM she likes and use chef freezer and remove the file manager then put in a non-root file manger so she cannot delete anything important.
Install nova launcher / or any other ??
I don't think she will be able to recognize the stock then.
yeah just hide the icons for the root explorer or whatever. CM10.1 or AOKP are good beginner roms

Hello all,
Just switched over from the HTC M8 and I was able to use app ops X to control app permissions. Unfortunately I can't remember the circumstances of installing that app and using it. I've researched it again and I've found that you need Xposed framework to use it now but I know for certain I didn't have Xposed installed on my M8 and still used App Ops X. Anyways, my question is if I'm missing something about installing this app, maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks

All it does is a shortcut to go to App Ops thats already built into Android.
Honestly if you're going to have that mentality, then you should be worried about everything on XDA when it comes to kernels, roms, apps, themes, etc. It works.
