I installed this app to try it, "Xperia_Launcher_2.apk" and I do not want to use it and want to remove it.
when I go to installed applications it only gives me the option to force stop.
I not sure how to uninstall the app?

You need a root uninstall app or use a root file explorer to manually remove it.

I did, but apperently I did not get the correct file because it still show up.
Can you post screenshots? Might help to see what you mean (even though it seems obvious).

It says to push to your system/app folder using Root Explorer. Very easy method when apps won't install.

if youre installing into the /system folder then its required to make the directory r/w or you won't be able to copy the apk to the system directory. for market apps this process isn't required.

I'm looking a clean, stock ROM for the MAHD. I like the some of the motorola features, like swiping certain icons on the homescreen and having transparent windows w/ info about the app pop-up, but I can see the ATT $hit keeping the phone from running 100%. Help?

No to "uninstall" per say, but you'll have access to /system/app as well as /vendor/app where you can either rename or delete the apps

It's goes all right on the phone, after rooting.
You can delete the apps or just freeze them. Use Ti.
Thanks!
As heading suggests, I was using nova launcher with no prob. But i thought of trying mihome. Installed it and clicked to download a clock theme. Download didn't start but notification came. I couldn't cancel it. So, tried by uninstalling and rebooting phone. But notification stays. What to do? Please help.
Did you delete the program folder from data directory? Check if it's still there.

Google play store and Google services framework. If you don't have titanium to freeze them you can disable them in settings/apps/all.

Another thing you could try is using the cracked Google play installer by chelpus, it acts as if clean installed. Once done you can reinstall regular Google play using the app

Hi, guys.
Sorry about the topic, I'm not allowed to post this bug at the right section....
Anyway. Since I've upgraded to CM10.2, Aldiko Premium has stop working. The free version seens to bo Ok.
Is there a way to completely uninstall an App and all of it's references?
Thanks in advance.

This is the correct section. To uninstall an app, open settings, go to apps, click the one you want then you can uninstall from there.

Well, I've already did that.
I guess I'll just have to 'wait'.
Thanks, man.:good:
Not sure if this is a real solution or I just got lucky, but I used Titanium Backup to convert the app to a system app (select the app from the list, special features, convert to system app) then converted it back to a user app (same process). SwiftKey kept crashing on me after the update and this fixed it for me. My guess is it forces the app to be reloaded, but like I said, it may have just been lucky button pushing.
I hate how much hangouts lag and I know that the 8sms app from the play store is pretty close to a stock messaging app, but does anyone know why installing the mms.apk from CM11 or Gummy 4.4.2 wouldn't work? On both of them I get an "App not installed" message when I try to run them straight out of es file explorer. Is there something that I am missing?

No problem. The error was caused by the file permissions. Repackaging the ROM with that apk is the fast, easy, and painless way of getting it installed with the proper permissions.

For future reference, you can drop the APK in /system/app then go into CWM > advanced > fix permissions.
