Hey guys. Im looking to buy some Beats, but i can't really afford them (i'm 15). I want to buy a fake pair of monster beat solo hd's (black) and after scouring the web for about an hour, I couldn't really find anything. Does anyone know where i can get a pair for less then $60 with good quality? I'm looking especially for people who have bought a fake pair. Thanks
Why would you want to buy a fake of an item that is nothing but hype?

Simple. Swag.
I asked a "swagspert" (fry technician at McDonalds) and he backed up my hypothesis.
There are some good cyber monday deals for headphones on Amazon.

I've read reviews that confirm that.
OP: This is easier than you think, but you've got to know what you want. 2 possibilities.
1: You want Beats as a fashion accessory, not for the sound.
Solution: Buy cheap knock offs from China.
2: You want great sounding headphones and you think Beats are it.
Solution: They aren't. Horrible SQ. www.head-fi.org for research. V-Moda makes some nice/flashy looking headphones that sound great and are priced reasonably.

Exactly. Don't invest in a fake + crap quality headphones. At 60$ you get some really neat sounding beats too.
Thanks
Yea i have a pair of hesh 2 skullcandies that have pretty good sound, but beats, i guess i just want it mainly as a cosmetic, but i do like how they sound as well. I've used my friends' beats countless times and i honestly don't see anything wrong with them. I mainly use my headphones for music, movies, skype, and games. I'm not extremely picky as long as the sound isn't grainy or anything. Also, i wouldn't wear the hesh 2s in public, they are too bulky and look pretty stupid haha.
Once you hear better headphones, you'll understand what's wrong with Beats. Seriously, though. Head-Fi is THE site for research on this. Music genre and sound preference is very important to buying the right headphones for you.

I'm not entirely sure how a thread promoting ripped-off clone headphones is any different from a thread discussing pirated software or music.

That always depends upon musical preferences. If you're really into classical music, just as an example, or you thrive on hearing the emotion in a singer's voice, then you'll want a different sound signature than someone who lives for bass.
Beautiful voices aren't so beautiful if the bass is overwhelming, nor can you feel the bass if the highs are emphasized.

Omg. Are you serious? Clones are legally sold everyday in retailers. They are clones, not counterfeits. They don't say Beats on the box. The ultimate legality of patent infringement lies with the courts. If you can buy them at Walmart then the consumer has broken no laws.

I stopped advising fools against buying brand name headphones. Let them waste their money, walk into my studio and listen to my purist music setup and walk out with tears streaming down their faces.
That's the only way to change them.
I believe the beats you're looking for are called 'Power Beats'.

Some people believe that visual aesthetics and brand name are important.
We call them the iPhone users.
But if you really combine a good amp, with a good set of monitors, FLAC (or any other lossless format/CDs), and the right songs, you'd bring those people down to their knees.

Checking it out tonight
Well I've been following Kodak for some time now and was just wondering your thoughts. I'm an amateur investor still learning and I've been buying stock to start off. I've only purchased in one company but I'm still researching.
Kodak put it's patents for sale in July of 2011 and no buyer's have come to the table. Who do you guys think will go for these? I was pointing towards Apple but who knows what those patents are and if they are even relevant to today's tech. Is there a way to look up a companies patents?
I would like to see Google or Apple buy these patents to use in their current devices/OS. Kodak's shares are at $.47 and are in danger of becoming delisted on the stock exchange.
It would suck to have an iconic company fall but it just goes to show you aren't to big to fail. They failed to adapt or innovate with the times. Remember when they sold their OLED business to LG because they thought there wasn't going to be a market for it. It came back to bite them in the arse now that we see this technology in a lot of devices.
Would you guys buy stock in Kodak? If so, why?
I hope they can bounce back. I hope we can get some intelligent conversation and keep this topic peaceful.
Thanks for reading guys.
If I could , I would ... Just for the Kodak films... And I'd bring their best ones back to production..

Hope they will survive, just bought kodaks digital frame with wifi, and its stupid properties is that you can configure auto on/off only from their webpage.
My father started his working life working at a Kodak Factory, earning his engineering wings along the way and moving onto bigger and better things including doing CAD on Military Hardware which paid his wages, which paid for the Alimony he paid my Mum, which barely covered the cost of clothing me for school let alone food, heating and other costs.
Adapt or perish. Darwinism in action. Record labels and Movie studios next...
..please!
Kodak is doomed. They failed to adjust and adapt.
One of the other guys here just spent over $1000 of company money on a desktop scanner from Kodak. When we got it, It's a freaking rebadged Visoneer, with even worse software. The kicker is, you have to "register" the software that comes with it to get a product code to use it, and Kodak won't reply.
They are history...blew it big time years ago!

I sold a Nook Tablet to purchase this, so I allready like the 7" factor, but Chrome is amazing on this, really great browsing experience.
Google Now does not seem to work very well in the UK yet or show anything useful without voice.
Got my £15 free Play credit instantly, but no sign of the Transformers Movie on my 16GB version.
i like that.. but applied ur screen protector yet? or any case to go along?
Forgot to mention the Serial number peels of the back stupidly easily, I thought it was a sticky plastic cover, but no the whole serial number peels off, So I stuck it to the plastic film and put it back in the box.
So, can anyone confirm the audio quality via 3.5mm jack? Is it as bad as what some are saying?

I'm not a great judge, using some cheap Sennheiser headphones, and its not amazing.
I need to have it on the maximum volume to hear it, its very quiet and the quality is not great.
Not amazing.
Shame. I was all set to buy one, but since I'll primarily be using it for watching films and listening to music using headphones, that's a bit of a deal breaker.

Yeah, that's pretty disappointing. I wasn't too bothered about the external speakers but I was expecting half decent headphone audio quality. Ah well, guess I'm not gonna buy one now.
Wait for the custom ROM's. I am sure they will improve that sound volume.
I have mine... a little smaller than I expected, but still a great size for typing etc
Some apps have problems with the tablet mode though. I can see why they went for the phone layout, the tablet mode when vertical is too small to use. As for smoothness, the launcher and system ui in general is much improved, but there is no difference in third party apps. Touch sensitivity and response is incredible, however. They may have to be updated, Im not too sure. The screen is also a little washed out.
However, I still love it and can't wait to spend the rest of the day on it xD yay!

Its the quality I'm more concerned about I'm afraid and no amount of custom ROMs or DSP enhancement will overcome poor signal to noise unfortunately.
Meh, I might still give one a demo in store, I've got a selection of headphones - maybe it will sound ok on some of them.

Same here!
The audio review on "The Verge" site is actually pretty decent (8 out of 10).
Everyone here will have their own opinions on which they would prefer, so I am not asking that because everyone listens music in their own way. So what do you use?
Personally I have used my V-Moda Crossfades LPs on my recent trip to NY. Well actually my 4 year old did watching Lorax on my N7 lol. But I tested out the volume before popping them in of course, but what I did hear was a clear dialog. From Dallas to NY she watched the entire movie using the V-Moda Crossfade LPs.
The crossfades are my fav headsets altogether for all different types of music and movies I watch on my different devices including the Nexus 7.

My work earbuds which I use on the Nexus and Sensation at times is the mid range earbuds-Shure SE215. Bottom line, great sound when you have a good seal but because I wear glasses, they tend to interfere with them but it's not too bad. Sorry, I didn't do a review on this one. Not sure why, but they are a very good pair of earbuds.
Last and not least, iBeats headphones that came with the Sensation XE's. Not a horrible earbud, very muddy but very bass heavy. Not my cup of tea but works without issues.
Honorable mention: Sony Ericsson MW600. Bluetooth stereo headphones. With this, you can use any of the above headphones/earbuds in this unit. Pair it to your device, in this case, a Nexus 7 and viola...track and volume controls (to an extent) included.
Currently I'm using Audio Technica ATH-CKM500...
Previously I was using Ultimate Ears MetroFi 170.
I use Philips O'Neill The Stretch, which imo are pretty good for $35. These are the first headphones that have real bass, and I'd recommend them to anyone. Then again I really haven't used any other real headphones, so I can't really compare.

Be it a fad or whatever you call it, "I" personally wanted to see what are available at a mid range price. A few hundred is the "retail" price of my 'collection'. I personally never pay retail :silly: .

Sony MW1 bluetooth with supplied headphones or my Grado SR60i (I challenge anyone to find a better pair of over the ear headphones for the price). The Sony headphones that come with the smart headset are very good, I was extremely surprised by this. I have used their earbuds for years.

I guess you're the one that doesn't understand.
I was talking about the controls, they won't work (beside volume), that's why I referred to Bluetooth devices. When you have a Bluetooth device all the controls will work as supposed.
Ask yourself why they wouldn't work on the Sony? Never heard of a pair of headphones not working on a specific device, they would only cut their own fingers....
Guess you don't really need help.

Klipsch announced new "Image S4-II" update version of previous S4.
S4-II present flat cabling for added strength and tangle
resistance, a more streamlined shape and overall improvements in product durability. S4-II model produces the same award-winning sound signature through an 8.5 mm dual-magnet
micro-speaker. This technology covers a wide frequency range and delivers dynamic detail for the
most strikingly realistic sound reproductions of music libraries

My feedback:
If you have any good experience with the sound and your want quality for a good amount (120$), I would definitely recommend it THIS
Regards.
Rock it sounds R50 are the best bang for buck you are going to get at that price point, they are a little bit higher (120$) but well worth the price.http://rockitsounds.com/shop/product/?prod_id=16

I am not concerned about controls. Only want to know would they be compatible.
I tried my old Xperia Arc Headphones with Z and error was showing not compatible. I recall reading somewhere that this is due to polarity/charge.
op..also check out the soundMAGIC E10m.. About half the price of the s4aii but from reviews sounds alot better
It has also won awards from what!hifi

still loving my RHA 450i affordable and superb sound, although the volume buttons don't work as they are designed for those stupid fruitphones.
Mic is very good, and the button controls poweramp perfectly well,
Come with a 3 year warranty, and have survived a night outside in the pouring rain when I dropped them on my driveway
I have these in-ears and the sound really nice, and are very cheap..and when i say good sound..believe me it is, and for the price you could try.
