I really would lile a tablet that can play games really well. i have heard that the omap 4470 is better than the tegra 3 in the nexus 7 but i also see posts saying the opposite.
Anyone on here have any personal experince ? Im really torn on these 2 devices . Ive used the search function but still couldnt figure it out
Thanks for any help on this

Tegra 3 gets the added benefit of nvidia working to get games optimized for their chipset. It loses in benches, but who cares if the games look and play better? 4470 should haul ass based on the commonalities between their gpu and apple's, but it will probably not make much difference.

Nexus 7 is definitely better and more compatible with the broader range of Google Play Store games. Not all of the games in the Google Play Store download/install to the KFHD due to compatibility problems. The GPU is also not as good in the KFHD for heavy usage.

all my roms skip so maybe a update will fix the hiccups.
I can't even download this from the store with my Nexus S.... apparently my device doesn't support it.
I even tried reverting back to a stock ROM and trying but no dice
It works good on mine as well Mario 64 is perfect and looks great.

I have also found that the more system intensive games tent to crash after extended play.
If you turn the max skip rate up from 2 to 10 the sound plays smooth but the game jumps more.
I presume with more optimization it will become faster and more stable.
What is the control system like. I usually find emulated console games a little bit hard to play with a touchscreen due to a lack of proper haptic feedback and the fact your fingers get in the way of the screen a bit.
OK, I have the Verizon 7.7 Samsung and was looking forward to installing some of the games I've already purchase for Android. For instance Modern Combat 3 & 2, Backstab not compatible with device. Has anyone else ran into this problem if so is there a way around this. I brought this device to play games also especially with the beautiful screen and it compliments my Ipad 3.
I got it to work moving the files across from my p1000 and restoring with titanium.

Why? IMHO A7 is way better than A6 with excellent multi-player engine. Granted, they weakened drifting very much but if you played more, you would find something else is compensating disadvantages in drifting.
For those who is playing Asphalt 7, my username is master9000. Friend and invitation to multi-player matches are very welcome. :victory:
Hi,
I was on the play store last night and bought this game "asphalt 7" it had nothing about my tab 7.7 not being compatible and so I bought the game.
Thanks to the large download and all, but this game does not work on my tablet, gets as far as checking license and Force Closes....
What have I done wrong????
Why doesnt it work and what do I need to do to get it working, I was trying to do the correct thing and not pirate the game by downloading it...
Well, thank you gameloft for a awesome game I cant play.....yet, and have paid for
EDIT: Ok, I have got it working now....very good on my galaxy tab 7.7....well at least I enjoy it so far
Got it working by downloading it again....try it out, good game if you enjoy arcade style driving......try Real Racing 2 for a more real feel
Downloaded, working and no issues.

Hi
Anyone got this awesome emulator running to a good standard? Resolution is very poor on my tab. Looked great on my old LG honeycomb tablet but this looks pretty terrible it has to be said.
tried anothergenesis emulator off the play store but the framerate was junk tbf
Cheers

I'd recommend u Md.emu, beats the **** out of Gensoid and can play hacked games (I play the Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy hack). You can buy it in Google Play or search elsewhere
Top man. Bit pricey at £3.50 but runs much better than the normally reliable Gensoid on my tab.
Thanks again

So my plan is to immediately put the CM10.1 on this tablet.
I mainly watch movies, read books, browse the web, and play a few games. But not too many games.
Will this tablet give me great performance in general? Or is it going to be limited? What kind of snappiness do you guys have with yours?
For what you will be using for the tablet performance should be perfect with room to spare. The Nook HD+ is a pretty solid tablet, only problems I've encountered are some minor touch sensitivity issues and a little bit of lag here and there but with some tweaking and customization it works pretty well.
Had mine since Wednesday. Great for watching TV/movies (avi/mp4).
Good for reading the web.
Great for comics.
Not got around to reading via the Kindle app.
Plays music fine.
Really enjoying it, but just like previous poster some touch sensitivity issues.
Well, I guess I will just need to try it for a bit and see if I am happy with it.
Hey I noticed that with it stock there are "incompatible" apps from the play store. Fandango for instance. If I put CM on it, am I still limited or is the buildprop edited so we can actually download these apps

No, most that say incompatible will still be incompatible on CM10.1. Your option is to download on another device, transfer the apk to the HD+, enable unknown sources on CM10.1 and install them. They usually run.

Actually, I just did CM to mine. My benchmark before was around 9000, with CM it went to over 10000.
And I found that several 'incompatible' apps became compatible. MLB At Bat works (only for radio, TV can't find my location). Also, a widgets app, iheart radio, and a couple others suddenly became compatible as well. But as they say, your mileage may vary. Of all the apps I have, the only one that is still incompatible is the Nook app... go figure!
I can careless about the nook app. I honestly don't read much. I really bought this just because I got it so cheap

For reading of pdf books I suggest OrionReader, simple and smooth as hell.
For video MxPlayer could handle 720p animes on hd+
Really satisfied with the hd+, definitely a bargain to me
I am so glad you mentioned OrionReader. I use my Nook for reading music scores while playing piano and couldn't find an app that moved fast enough while turning the pages. Now I'm all set!

You're welcome Another good thing about it is you can customize behaviours for different tap zones, very convenient
