Hi Everybody!
I have an Optimus 4X HD. My firmaware is brazilian 10C, without root. If i buy a micro SD Card, will i be able to save at least my pictures, musics and movies in that ?
Thanks
Of course, otherwise what would be the point in having an external card?
At first, thank you. I have this question cause i dont know WHAT i can put on the external SD.
What abouut the games and others apps... Can i too ?

Games and apps would depend on them being supported by App2SD - which I have never used. With the size of internal storage we have on this phone I wouldn't play with that, but music, photos, books etc can go safely on your SD-Card.
Thank you, bro. It is enough... I will search about prices

To add in with SimonTS;
App2SD will indeed give you the possibility to move apps from the internal '/mnt/sdcard' storage tot the external '/mnt/sdcard/external_sdcard' storage.
Disadvantage of this method is that Widgets for that app won't work (correct me if I'm wrong).
But when rooted there is a more powerful app.
Link2SD. Which also moves the data from the app to a second partition on the microSD card. This is called linking. Very useful for phones with like only 256MB storage. I got GB's of apps (offline GPS) on a Galaxy Mini with that method.

Hello fellow XP users!
I know this topic has been asked like a hundred times but the threads I've read present insufficient info that I need and most are clutteted.
I just want to ask if the SanDisk 64GB (SDXC, I guess) with product code SDSDQUA-064G-U46A is compatible with the Xperia PLAY with the following conditions:
1. There should be no lag in games
2. Will perform at optimal levels even if nearly full
In other words, is it completely compatible with no bugs whatsoever?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT:
Here's a pic of the product

EDIT2:
Also, I've read HERE that there is no difference between an ULTRA and MOBILE ULTRA card. Is it okay then to just use the ULTRA card as it is more readily available (not hard to find) and, of course, should be without bugs whatsoever?
I have the exact same one and have been using it for about a yea in my PLAY with no issues what so ever. It works great. Been very pleased.

Working fine even if you fill it almost to the brim? No slowdowns on games? And is yours the same code as I posted above?
Thanks for the reply, you have been helpful as always.
Without taking by card out it does appear to be the same card.

Buy foldermount to mount folders You'll need ROOT.
It binds so that system sees folders on external while they actually are on external SD

I maybe wrong, but those look suspiciously like data corruption files.... Is your phone hanging/crashing suddenly? Have you lost certain files in your sdcard?
This has happened with me too.. Just format your memory card from a windows pc
I tried
I formatted SD card but these files appearing again. I don't have any issues like hanging phone, application close, restarting. etc.

If these files have appeared you after deleting any file stored on the microSD with the ES Explorer app, you can be running under KK do not have write permission and does not send it to the trash or leaving a log after the destruction. To my passing me something like, the solution was a Xposed module called "KitKat SD Card Full Access"

So how can i add more virtual memory? Please help me if you know the trick. Thanks[emoji4]

Apps wont help, you need more ram
Is there anyone update this Help/QA?
I am facing same problem of less RAM using and need using RAP SWAP to External Memory Card for Samsung Galaxy
You need a Rooted device and a kernel with SWAP support and the above app should work.
The g7 is pretty slow when trying to access the music stored on my 400gb card. How fast is the v40 compared to the G7? Has anybody compared or know the actual access specs?
I don't have a G7 to compare but here's my results from Andro Bench.

Never heard of card reader speed? Isn't it all up to the type/quality of card you use?
bencozzy said:
Not entirely. I/O schedule and format and overly card size play a role.
F2fs and bfq are a great combo for memory access speed.

Well, I kind of assumed that all bigger brands were up to date in that matter!?
Regardless, the only thing we can do for now, is getting the highest quality card...
bencozzy said:
Lenovo and Google use f2fs formatting. No one uses bfq scheduler that I know of only custom kernels which is a shame.

Interesting. Where do you get this important information? Kind of disappointing ;(
