Display switches off after device boots up - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Nexus One was suffering from boot loop problem and has a broken power button. It was stuck at the X screen. I followed the steps in the fastboot method from the Nexus One wiki. Everything went fine. When the phone rebooted, it showed the static X screen, and before showing the Nexus loading animation, the screen went off. After a few seconds, the trackball started blinking, but the screen wont turn on. The capacitive keys' lights turn on when I press the volume keys and I get a haptic feedback too when I press the capacitive keys.
But the display just won't turn on. I tried rebooting multiple times and even tried the fasboot method again. But in vain.
What could be the problem? Please help me.
Thanks,

HELP! Phone boots but no responce after boot.

I am in the process of calibrating my battery. It was full and finally died after a good while. I put it on the charger and waited a couple minutes and tried to boot it up because I needed to make some calls and it goes thru the boot screens and animation and will dim but then it goes black. I press the menu button and end button to turn on the screen but it doesn't work. It will boot into recovery and the buttons work there. I have no idea whats wrong with the phone. Can anybody help me with this problem? Thanks in advance.
Edit: When I plug it in via usb the screen turns on but there is no touch response when I try to slide the unlock tab or sound tab.
I have no idea what caused it or fixed it. Randomly happened and randomly fixed itself.. everything is working fine now.

[Q] Screen stops working after first power off

Having a really weird problem with my OD. When the phone first starts up, it works fine. As soon as the screen turns off, the touchscreen stops responding to input. The phone still works, as I can do a long-press on the power button, and used the arrows on the physical keyboard to reboot the thing. Everything (acceleromater, all buttons, hardware keyboard, etc) work as expected, just not the touchscreen, and the buttons on the bottom of the touchscreen (back, menu, home, and search). As soon as the phone is rebooted, the screen responds to touch, until the screen shuts off (either through timeout or pressing the power button).
I was running CM7 when the problem started, and since then I'v tried Liquid Gingerbread, and using the SDB to put it back to stock. The problem still continues.
Any ideas?

[Q] razr i bricked/locked, stuck at intel inside logo

please help, i wanted to boot into cwm recovery and maybe i pressed the power button and/or volume down button too long or too short (don't know). the phone started to boot normal with the moto logo and when get stuck at the intel inside logo. that's it.
all the buttons have no more reaction when pressed, no led glowing. no button work -> no possibilty to shut down the phone.

edit: problem solved. pressing powerbutton and volume+/- at last gave a vibration and releasing the buttons resulted in normal boot.

[Q] Black screen after lock

I've had my Nexus One for some time now, and i'm having a problem with it. Whenever i turn it on (sometimes i have to try more than once because it just stays black) it works ok, but when i lock it and try to unlock it (with the power button) the screen stays black. The action buttons at the bottom of the screen turn on but the screen stays black. I have CM 7.2 and i just flashed it and formatted all the partitions i could think of and it's still doing this.
If i call the phone after locking it, it will ring and the trackball flashes but the screen stays black.
Any help?
When the phone is on everything works fine.
P.S. I've searched the forums and found a few threads but none offer a good answer.
EDIT: If i leave it for like an hour or so i can turn the screen back on with the power button, but only once.
i have the same problem, am using the stock rom .. it happens after ending a phone call the screen stays black and i have to restart the device
waiting for solution !!

Black screen but touch screen works?

Hello, sorry if this has been answered, i did a search for black screen and didn't find the same thing.
Basically my nook hd+ is about 2 months out of warranty. When i try to power it on, i can see the screen light up but nothing is displayed (its all black and dims slightly). When i was messing with it trying to reset it, it started to read aloud the applications i touched on or button i pressed. So the touch screen is still working even though it's not displaying anything. I tried to hard reset it, by holding down the buttons and pressing the n twice, but that didn't seem to work either. Anyone got ideas?
Don't know what that is -> "holding down the buttons and pressing the n twice".
But if I had this problem I would...
Hold down the power button for >10 seconds as this completely turns off the device, then attempt to turn it back on.
And if that failed to work... let it sit and run out of battery, then plug it in to the wall usb adapter, let it charge for an hour, then try powering it on with the power button.
And if that failed to work, since its outta warranty, buy something that works.
But that's only what I would do
