Battery discharging even on charging - LG Optimus Black

Last night I tried to charge my phone and forget to disconnect and went to sleep.
Next morning, the phone switched off, After trying to on the phone, it showed 0
ROM problem or any ?
Using CM10 latest nightly..

My guess its faulty USB port ir faulty charger.

maybe there was a powercut during your sleep
maybe you didn't plugged it well to the socket
is it charging at another place?

[Solved] Upgraded to CM7 RC14 (doshaska), now battery will not charge on my Milestone

Edit: thanks to this post, my problem has been solved. Thanks!
So last night I went from stock motorola 2.2 to this wonderful-seeming version of CyanogenMod on my UK milestone - the install went flawlessly, but now I have a problem - my battery is not charging at ALL.
While the phone was on last night after I charged it, it was plugged in, first to my PC and then to the wall socket. In both cases, the battery indicator had a ? (question mark) on it.
I thought it might have been some weirdness with battery calibration so I left it and plugged the phone in from the wall to charge overnight. This morning, my phone was telling me to connect my charger (despite it being plugged in) and on removing the power cable, it died due to no battery power left within 10 minutes.
While plugged in from the wall, the battery indicator comes up but again just contains a ? on it. The little white light next to the power socket never lights up.
If I plug the phone in to my PC via USB then if the handset is OFF, the white light comes on and around 10 mins later it gets enough juice to boot up. The problem is that when the CM7 software starts, the little white light disappears, the phone stops charging despite the cable being present, and it then dies 2 minutes later.
I know the battery is fine because it was perfectly fine before I installed CM7.
Anyone else experienced this problem and/or know how to fix it?
One thing I did manage to do before it died was install a battery calibration app that I found on xda-developers - this told me that the battery was running at 3267 mV - any idea if that's good or bad?
(and yes, I'm using precisely the same cable/charger I was using before I put this version of CM7 on, so I know they are fine - they charge a friend's SGS with no problems)

Try plugging the phone into the wall charger, without the battery. Try and boot it up and let it boot. Once it's booted up, give it a bit and try and put the battery in and leave it to charge.
What happens if you turn off you phone and plug it in a wall charger? If the problem isn't in your battery it will charge fully.
When you phone comes up, try to disable the 1% battery steps in settings. I got a problem with it, and after disabled/enabled it worked fine for me.
Hope this helps.
On plugging it into a wall charger, the phone comes up with its special battery charging screen (i.e. a fullscreen battery level indicator) - no amount of pressing the power button seems to get it to boot properly (with or without the battery).
I'll see if I can get in and get rid of the 1% steps thing later, thanks for the suggestion

Dude, that was PERFECT.
Managed to get enough juice into the thing to get into the menu for a moment and was able to disable the 1% battery steps option - soon as I touch that tickbox, the battery indicator switches from a ? to the charging symbol and the phone starts charging. Thanks a million!
Nop dude, you are welcome

[Q] How can I fix my phone ¡Help!

Well all started 3 days ago after I installed an app (I'm not blaming it) called Le Battery or something like that, then it said the app was saving me over 40% of battery. When it went to 29% I left it charging during the night, when I woke up my phone was completely charged, and the screen had a problem, it looked like when you are recording tv from a camera, or you put a phone under water without protection, the point is I unplugged it inmediately and it stopped, but it still was saying it was charing , so I rebooted it and everything seemed fine, when I plugged it back it dind´t charge, I tried another charger, but before I could plug it into the wall, it had the LED on, so my phone was charging the charger....:silly:
I took off the battery and that´s how I keept it since then, everythime I charge it I have to take off the battery and when I put it back in it has 94% charged If I plug the charger it will intantly say it has 100% and will stay like that until I take the battery again, the voltage stays at 4290 when it´s on 94% and already tried to charge it with an universal charger and it´s full, so the problem it´s my phone.
This is what I´ve tried:
1-Changed ROM 2 times (now I have DMod v5)
2- Factory reset
3- Wipe cache and the dalvik (or something like that)
Nothing worked
No luck, I´m about to die
Try to callibrate your battery.
This can help your problem.

I can charge Ace only when it's turned off (more inside)

Yesterday i managed to resurrect my Ace after it's been bricked for months using a usb jig. I've installed cm-7-20130608-UNOFFICIAL-cooper and everything is perfect except for the fact that i can only charge it when it's turned off. Then i simply connect the charger, battery icon appears and i can turn on the phone. It will keep chargin. But only if i turn it off first, then plug the charger. If i just plug in the charger while Ace is on, nothing will happen. The same goes with usb connection. It's not a rom issue, because i had the same problem with the old rom. I tested it before i installed the new one. IMO usb port is not damaged, because otherwise it wouldn't charge at all, would it?
Hopefully someone will come with the solution

Why don't you flash a fresh stock? You could test this trouble on it and then you could try it in Cm7 again
Do you have original Samsung charger?

[Q] CM 11 (JCSullins): Battery not charging?

I installed JCSullins 4.4.4 CM 11 from 9/13/14. Thanks to the Toolbox, the process went extremely smoothly. I ran into a small issue though. The battery would charge properly overnight for the first week or so. Then I noticed that the battery wasn't getting charged (no charging indicator) but a reboot would fix the issue and the battery would start charging again. This morning, the battery won't charge at all, even with a reboot. It shows 51% and discharging. I tried different chargers but none seem to have an effect. I haven't had a chance to plug it into a laptop yet to see if the USB port is broken. Has anyone else had battery issues after upgrading? If the USB port is indeed broken, would a charging dock (Touchstone?) charge the TP?
Might be Cable problem
Hi,
I've been using this rom for about 3 days and didn't noticed any problems in charging. What I had in the earlier days is battery drain in lowest clock frequency. Then i rebooted it 5 to 6 times and then problem got solved also deep sleep started working.
You can check the cable and the charging adapter. It might be the blacksheep.

Thanks for your reply. I tried using other chargers and cables and nothing seems to make a difference. Oddly enough, the charge has dropped to 15% and if I leave it plugged in all day/night, it doesn't drop beyond whatever % it was last at. As an example, if I leave it unplugged and the charge drops to 10%, it will stay at 10% when the TP is plugged in. The battery icon also shows charging for a minute or so, then stops again.
Just as a follow, at least one other user has this problem. See the 4.4.4 thread in the developer section. Unfortunately, I cannot post in a developer until I have at least 10 posts. Sigh.

Charging Issues

Yesterday night my phone's charge was completely out and I put it for charging. When I checked today morning, the phone is still off. I removed the charger and plugged it again. Phone was showing a battery with red lightning bolt and a plug wired. I tried to charge it again and again. And at last phone turns on. phone is showing charging but the percentage bar is not increasing.what will be the problem? Help me guys.
Any update on this thread i'm having the same problem
I have the same problem, any update ? Hove solve it ?
Ok so I had my phone charger ripped . So i used any another charger that works so I wont have to buy another one
The second one started not working at some of the places I had the phone at . but when it works it worked well . I changed my charger thinking it would be the same . but now my phone charges 1% every 2.8 min . for a normal p7 its usually 1.5-1.8 min
so try one of these solutions
1-Change Charger
2-Change the plug you charge it into ( 110-220)
3-Download the app called (Ampere) it counts the charge for you .. Plug the charger in the plugins you have at home and it will give you the fastest one
and if all of them did not work then just fix it at a Huawie store
