I have Galaxy S who's stock rom has tv out option, but I'm using ICS/JB now and those two don't have tv out option in settings (since its pure android, no samsung **** in it). Is there any way to enable tv out by 3.5mm audio, like application or something?
CM10 has a TV Out option under Settings -> Advanced but I can't see if it works because I haven't got the required cable.
I regularly use tv out on CM10 and it works well. Also used it on CM9 beforehand.

Mezzmo is a DLNA server with transcoding capability. Has anyone been able to get the video option to work? Music and pictures are working great.
Mezzmo is by far the best DLNA server I've tried. It works perfectly with my Series 6 Samsung LED TV over Wi-Fi N. But I also experienced problems with my Samsung Galaxy S - until I found the right settings on some forum. After connecting your SGS to Mezzmo (it's better to have a fixed IP address for your SGS I suppose), go to Mezzmo's menu Media Server -> Media Devices (smth like that, 'coz I have a Russian version of Mezzmo), then find your SGS in a list of devices, double click it to open the Settings window, choose Samsung Captivate as profile and make sure that both checkboxes are checked (especially the one with transcoding options); I also set 800 x 480 as a max resolution on Performance tab; now it works perfectly for all video formats!
You do use Allshare?
I do exactly like you and cannot play video, only music and pics.
What could be wrong?
Is there any app, add-on, script, etc that would enable me to use my new composite video cable with CM7 Installed.
CM7 does not have the TV out option under display.
I do have gscript for the modem, is there any scripts out there to toggle the output on and off?
Thx,
Hi,
Iam coming from CM7. I had an App there to redirect the sound through USB (Like the Samsung Car-Home App does). It enables me to use my Galaxy as an MP3 player in the Samsung Car Dock and redirect the sound through my car boxes.
Does someone know if theres a working solution for ICS?

hello help me please I'm looking for how do you activate the TV output
thanks
TV out
Well, on 4.04 beta
1. Restore your original gingerbread OS or change to another kernel
2. connect the cable(samsung or LG special cable or change the connection from red to yellow and vice versa)
2. open the Galaxy S Settings and turn on the TV out function, change PAL or NTSC accordingly.
Then the TV out function will work.
However, using 4.04rom and ICS does NOT work for my i9000.
In the Settings "More Settings..." there is a "Nearby devices" item that says "Share your media files via DLNA". So the DLNA abbrev appears, but what the heck can you actually do with it. I have a Samsung TV that supposedly can access DLNA files, but the camera doesn't show up as a device on the TV, nor does the TV show up as a device on the Camera. I'm not really all that hot to use DLNA, but I'm curious what this stuff actually means since it shows up on the Camera. Anyone know how to do anything with these DLNA settings?
OK, New info: I played around with it some more, and found that if I login to the AllShare Play app, then the Nearby Devices settings actually do something (weirdly, the AllShare app doesn't seem to be involved anymore - there aren't any controls in that app I did anything with, just logged in and exited). Now when I turn on the file sharing toggle in Settings, my TV sees the camera and I can look at photos (but I haven't found any video that works yet).
Maybe you can try the "all share cast dongle" accessories .. some friends of mine already tested to some TVs and monitor .. they also tried with some projectors not only with HDMI but also with VGA by buying an converter HDMI-VGA cable ..
