Ideos X6 = Ideos x5 pro - fm radio - front cam
This device in comparison to x5 has slightly overclocked processor, front cam (vga probably) and fm radio and these are the pros in comparison to x5.
Cons in comparison to x5, The screen 262k / washed out colors, Camera althogh 5 mp not at par with x5, internal storage 1.09 Gb (2.5 Gb in X5), back button stops responding every now and then (all x6(afaik) have this issue), no official ics (x5 has unofficially supported official ics).
Both the devices at xda are experiencing very slow development.
So if you are planning to buy go for x5.

[Q] Incredibl S vs Desire HD Camera

Does anyone know of any real difference between the Incredible S and Desire HD Camera
I have noticed on a few reviews and sample pictures taken that the Incredible S seems to take better still photos than the Desire HD ?
Any opinions/views/facts as to the differences between the 2 cameras
I appreciate they 'should' be the same given the same specs but the evidence seems to indicate otherwise

LG Optimus 2x or Atrix 4g or Nexus S

Hi all,
I recently broke my dell streak, and looking for a new phone now...
I can't make my mind betwenn optimus 2x, atrix 4g and nexus s, thought will get your input on this.
I am ok with rooting and loading custom rom... may be not changing the screen of the mobile that's how I broke the streak
I am hoping all three phones I am looking at will have decent performance. I am looknig for a mobile with a decent video recording capablity and decent battery life. I read some of the threads here and looks like some of the members are unhappy about their camera.
What you think about LG optimus 2x camera? do u think its better than Atrix 4g ones? I guess Nexus is totally out of picture...
What would be your choice?
Thanks in advance for your help
O2X hands down.
CM7+latest kangs and you are flying!
I had the same deal, and i finally get the o2x and it rocks!!! Even in Stock is awesome!
I am with oleg1981, the 2X fly and have great developers.
Get de Atrix de o2x has inferior build quality and if it wasn't for developers constantly working hard at tweaking here and there it wudve been a really sad phone but whatever yu decide yu will enjoy it because of the great support from developers

Hi all,
Thanks so much your input. Just wondering if you have any comments regarding tht camera quality? I read some threads where they were complaing about the quality of the camera your thoughts on that will be really helpful.
Cheers
The camera is great

The camera is great if you are running a ROM based on the stock LG software. It's not that great when running on CM7 due to loss of frames when recording video in low light.

Hello!
Camera is ok if you use it in good light conditions and in short distance with the flash. It isn't very good when used in dimmed/low light or twilight.
BTW: CM7 camera is ok now. As now almost everything is working well on Cyanogenmod 7 with custom kernel (even all sensors) - but only the FM radio - that is working much better with stock based custom roms.
I can't say much in comparison to the cameras of the Atrix or the Nexus S.
The camera of the Samsung Galaxy S2 is definitely much better though.
But there are test about that (concerning camera quality) available on the internet - as a German yoke says ask the nice Indian (internet with Saxon dialect tongue = "Inder nett" )
The Atrix by the way sounds very good on paper (more RAM, faster CPU) and should be a really decent phone too - but it is a little bigger - IMHO the LG O2x has the right size - didn't want a bigger phone with more than 4".
True the camera is better than it was before (brightness has improved). I still miss the full frame recording of the stock rom.

Hi all,
Thanks very much for your replies. Its been really helpful. I am going to pick one up this weekend...
You should choose between Atrix and 2x, Nexus S is single core...the past now.
My advice is 2x.

Current video capture 1080p 2d quality? was there a MAJOR update months ago?

I used to use this phone almost a year ago...
I was not very impressed with the 2d video quality....nor the battery performance.
I recently saw a 1080P video sample ....that was supposedly of the LG Thrill after a major update months ago..
The 2D 1080p quality looked on par or better than the 4s and the Galaxy SII......near flawless.....with very good audio quality that the Thrill previously did not have.
Can anyone confirm that the LG Thrill PG925.....got some kind of major update that gave the thrill a major performance boost in the video capture and battery as I heard as well?
I can't confirm whether or not it was an update, but for the best result recording HD video you will want a high speed SD card, such as UHS-1 or a Class 10 card. I got a 16GB UHS-1 card for 10 bucks and it was worth it. Great storage with impressive speed.
I know there are a bunch of camera mods out there as well to improve recording quality and some custom ROMs include those mods or some of their own.

yes it was updated when you used it last it was probably on froyo now it is gingerbread. Soon hopefully our international twin the optimus 3d will get yet another update making it ice cream sandwich or 4.0 now it is 2.3.5 and it was a big update I think camera and battery life are both better for me anyway

Any MOD to increase camera MPx?

Hi, is there any mod to increase camera mega pixels? I thought this because a review in Russian from Htc ONE that see the camera is from high quality but there is a post-software which decrease to 4mpx.
Anyone?

?
what kind of drugs he is on??
Some phones indeed use less megapixels than it's capable of taking (I remember the Evo 3D did that in 3D mode to make smaller files), but the htc One sensor itself is 4Mp, so that's hardware limited. They did this on purpose, because more megapixels doesn't necessarily mean better quality. In fact, because of the fewer megapixels in a larger sensor it catches more light

Camera Quality on Custom Roms?

Hi,
i'm thinking about switching to something a bit bigger, from my Xperia Z1 Compact. Since the Xperia Z1 Compact camera quality isn't very good with custom roms, i'm wondering how the quality is with Marshmallow Roms on the M7...maybe someone has some example pics?
Greetings,
Hey man, as long as you use roms based on stock the camera will be the same.. Cyanogenmod for example is know for lousy camera but great performance. ..

I wouldn't choose the m7 if picture quality is important for you. This is a great device but unfortunately the camera isn't performing well.

Isn't the z1 compact equipped with a 20 mpx cam? The m7 is only 4 mpx with the first generation of the "ultrapixel" technology which is supposed to give better picture quality in low light conditions but isn't working really well imo...

It is, but the camera is pretty bad. Very, very noisey, not that much detail and so on...quality in low light conditions is horrible. Not sure, what Sony did with that Sensor, to make it that bad...
