Hi all,
Looking for some help with my Galaxy Captivate that I'm planning to purchase used on ebay...
Would it be possible for me to unlock it and then use it in the UK with O2, utilizing 2G and 3G properly?
Thanks in advance.
As long as the frequencies that the Captivate is made to operate on are available on the phone carrier's network that u speak of.
Just search and find what your carrier uses and compare it to what the specs of the Captivate state on the Samsung website.

Hey guys, just curious, as I'm having withdrawals from actually having a decent phone that doesn't make me want to use it as a hockey puck.
I have access to a tmobile Samsung galaxy s2, for a cheap price, if I were to unlock it, would it be capable of running on the Verizon network? Obviously with owning a d3, I have a sim card, would it work? Also, again out of pure curiosity, would an unlocked att phone work on our network?

It all depends on if the phones are capable of running on CDMA/EVDO. Do some research on the phones sorry I'm not much help

Google (your phone model) specs and see if the radio bands are ones that are supported by verizon.

No the SGS2 uses GSM and Verizon uses CDMA. Maybe someone would trade you phones?
Even if the phone has CDMA hardware like any Sprint phone, Verizon will only allow devices on their network if they are authorized for use on Verizon.
Dear all
Very exited to read that my home city is getting 4G at end of October. Does anyone know whether the N7000 will support Orange/EE 4G network?
A friend of mine went to the launch at the NEC and couldn't get a straight answer.
Thanks in advance

Nope. You need a phone with an LTE modem to use 4G which our N7000 doesn't have.
EE are releasing a Note II LTE for use on their network.
Thanks for the quick response! That's a shame.
When I bought the note orange told me it would support 4g. I realise that I should have checked the specs myself BUT do you think I can claim that ive been miss sold the device?

I was wondering if someone could tell me if the sIII mini can be used on any USA prepaid carriers like Virgin Mobile, Straight Talk, Boost Mobile...etc? I love this phone and really hope to get to use it here. If so, what are my options? I read up on the frequencies and have a general idea but not sure exactly how it applies per phone. Thanks
Only works for tmobile and at&t

I don't know I bought this in thailand and I want to know it can use in usa?
It's probably a GSM phone, so unless you're going to use it on Verizon's outdated CDMA network, you shouldn't have any major problems (maybe some apps not working too or something).
