I don't know I bought this in thailand and I want to know it can use in usa?
It's probably a GSM phone, so unless you're going to use it on Verizon's outdated CDMA network, you shouldn't have any major problems (maybe some apps not working too or something).

I have a unlocked rooted nexus one and currently using T-Mobile..was thinking of switching to at&t due to service n area . was wondering if there is any rom or radio I can download to use att 3g or is it a hardware problem

If you have the T-Mobile 3G version, then there's nothing you can do to get At&t 3G other than trying to trade it for an At&t 3G version. Its in the antenna hardware, so it doesn't matter what radio firmware you try to flash to it.
Thank u man

Hey guys, just curious, as I'm having withdrawals from actually having a decent phone that doesn't make me want to use it as a hockey puck.
I have access to a tmobile Samsung galaxy s2, for a cheap price, if I were to unlock it, would it be capable of running on the Verizon network? Obviously with owning a d3, I have a sim card, would it work? Also, again out of pure curiosity, would an unlocked att phone work on our network?

Google (your phone model) specs and see if the radio bands are ones that are supported by verizon.

No the SGS2 uses GSM and Verizon uses CDMA. Maybe someone would trade you phones?
Even if the phone has CDMA hardware like any Sprint phone, Verizon will only allow devices on their network if they are authorized for use on Verizon.
Hi all,
Looking for some help with my Galaxy Captivate that I'm planning to purchase used on ebay...
Would it be possible for me to unlock it and then use it in the UK with O2, utilizing 2G and 3G properly?
Thanks in advance.
As long as the frequencies that the Captivate is made to operate on are available on the phone carrier's network that u speak of.
Just search and find what your carrier uses and compare it to what the specs of the Captivate state on the Samsung website.

Hi all. I have a great opportunity to buy a lte version of sgs3 from a friend who has been purchased in the usa, i9305. I live in Macedonia(Europe), and the carrier is t-mobile, but we don't have a 4g network yet, so I'm wondering if i could use this phone on my network. I know that calls, sms and even 2g would work, but I want to know if 3g would work? I asked the customer service for t-mobile and they told me a lot of things but not the answers to any of my questions, I guess they didn't know too..
So if anyone could help so i don't by the phone and end up with no 3g.
thanks.

You should call local Samsung customer service for the answer if the network provider cannot answer you.
