[Q] Disabling Status bar in stock lockscreen? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to hide the status bar in the "stock" lock screen?
I know there are apps like widget locker, and I have used them and I do like them.
Still, I'd like to know if it is possible to hide it in the stock one.
And I don't mind if it needs root or anything
Thank you

Theres a mod for that. I forgot the link

Ok. What should I search to find it?
Do you remember what the title was, or something?
Thanks.

dont know how to make it disappear... but there is a way to make it transparent so that the wallpaper completely covers the screen

I don't want to make it transparent, I just want to get rid of it in the lockscreen (stock)...
No ways?

[Q] Icon Changer ???

hi... i just wanna ask if there is an app or widget that can be use to change icon permanently.. not just when you display it on home screen. i tried Better Cut. but it only change icon that displayed on home screen. but when you look at your drawer it is still the same. so it useless because i have ADW Launcher and in it i can do that already... so any suggestion of an app i can use ? =)
there isnt im afraid. you would need to modify the apk file to change the apps icon permanently. this means if you like to keep up to date with the latest app releases you wouldnt be able to as it would need to be registered as a different app if i remember right

lock screen slider

can I change the lockscreen slider?
i want to remove vibration and maybe a more smooth slider...

Use WidgetLocker.

I tried to use Lock Menu https://market.android.com/details?id=com.husmithinc.android.lockmenu&feature=search_result, but for some unknown reason the camera button stopped working (tested with SPB shell and LauncherPro).
Anyone encountered this problem too?
it is possible to change your lockscreen sliders as long as you want to play with your framework-res I switched those ugly motorola sliders for those from gingerbread (think so) by replacing them in framework, if you want I can upload png files, default sliders are located in drawable-hdpi on the bottom, filenames starts with zz.
There is go locker now too, looks good.
If you are thinking about flashing Cyanogenmod;
there is options implemented to change the Lockscreen. No more laggy Motoblur Sliders.
( I'd totally recommend that )
Otherwise, Widget Locker really rocks the Milestone 2 =) I bought it and i never regretted it from the first Minute
I really recomend using WidgetLocker, but only in Gingerbread. In froyo, it sucks a lot by not replacing the original screenlocker sometimes.
I used WidgetLocker for a while, but replaces the origianl lockscreen, just stood on top. not recommend.

[Q] Anyone with no soft keys and an actual fullscreen wallpaper?

Hi all!
For people with rooted phones.
Do any of you actually get a fullscreen wallpaper when soft keys are removed?
If so, what have you modified / apps installed?
I'm using Hide bottom bar ("Hide bar")
And tried with countless wallpaper apps, but to no avail.
1/3rd of the space previously occupied by the soft keys stays black.
You probably need to modify the framework for that.
Sent from my Xperia ion
Fullscreen Toggle (here from XDA) + Nova Launcher. Hidden Notification.
Works like it should
By god must I have been blind?!
I have been to that thread where the .apk is before.
Well, guess I need to be spoonfed things once in a while.
This solved it!
The "Hide Bottom Bar" also removed the status bar completely, not making it possible to hide/show with any launcher.
Now this is possible again with the use of launcher.
Also the whole screen is now covered by the wallpaper, which is the most important thing.

[Q] Lockscreen settings

I'm on ARHD 20.1 and I would love to have a cleaner look on my lockscreen and remove, the clock as well as the defaults apps which are in my dock. It used to be you could edit and choose the apps that are displayed in the lockscreen but now i can only edit the wallpaper.
Any ideas ?

The only way to remove the apps on the lockscreen is to use a different launcher and remove all apps from the dock in Sense before switching to the 3rd party launcher, or, don't have any apps in the dock if you want to use Sense. With regards to the clock on the lockscreen, the only way to remove it is to use ViperOne ROM which has an option to disable it by way of a built in Mod (which I did ask the Dev about releasing it as a standalone Mod as I don't want to use Viper, I had no reply though) ... The other workaround is to delete HTCLockScreen.apk and use the default, Android lockscreen, this has issues though such as having to unlock to answer a call, no message notifications other than in the notification pulldown and same goes for missed calls ... The one positive though is you would do away with the weather and the apps on your lockscreen, and, btw of running some command in terminal, you can enable the ability to have different widgets such as cLock which lets you change colours and depending on your wallpaper, would allow for the possibility of having no clock (purely by having, for example, a black wallpaper and setting cLock up so that the fonts are black, this would essentially hide the clock from your lockscreen.
I use Apex Launcher but I edited a lot of apk's icons manually and they are incorporated into my ROM, same with Mods. I edited icons, menus, alsorts lol to get it set up right and flashable in one go rather than flashing loads of different Mods, it looks the same on Sense does mine btw as the icons in my dock are actually edited right in the apk rather than just chaging them on Apex ... How did you remove the carrier name?
Hi,
is it really impossible for the moment to have a normally-working lockscreen or "no lockscreen", that does not eat the battery on HTC One?
I have noticed by "OS monitor", that even if I set "HTC no-lockscreen" active - idlescreen process keeps accessing my phone constantly and eating the battery, because it accesses WeatherProvider all the time! I don't want to use weather at all while my phone is locked and besides, I have a third-party Elecon HD weather app that I do use.
When in my custom ROM I set AOSP lockscreen as active - I have to unlock my screen on incoming call and alarming, as described here.
Just want to make sure: no any solution for the moment - to MAKE HTC lockscreen not to access weather service to save battery OR to customize side-lockscreen so, that it would auto-unlock my phone when alarming or incoming call?

Try custom lockscreen from play store with lp/mm theme. They have many options of customization.
Else if you have xposed try LockScreen Tweakbox
