[Q] Getting rid of bloatware "uninstallable" apps? - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hello. I have stock .195 ROM and advanced stock kernel v4. My problem is that every time I reboot my phone, the apps like EA Games, PlayNow, Wisepilot, Neoreader etc. reinstall and I have to uninstall it again. And it happens after every reboot. How can I deal with it? It's really annoying...

Maybe you can use Titanium Backup? That app let's you remove apk's in the system folder.

You are not uninstalling them. Just removing them from the app drawer.
Use titanium backup (free download) to uninstall them

Or delete the apk from /system/app using something like root explorer.

[Q] remove "email" and "fmradio" from phone

can i remove the "email.apk" from an rom, without affecting the google mail apps ?
and do i need fmradio? (i dont listen to radio...)
i use simplicity 1.5, wanna update to 1.5.1 without this app
Offcourse.
Use sgs tools or nitrality.
It won't affect gmail app.
i will delete them from the rom before flashing it...
i would rather freeze them using titanium backup or mybackup, than remove them

Using nitrality to delete them frees up more system space - they can be added back with nitrality if desired.
Nitrality also removes associated lib files.
Imho it is the best option.

[Q] Apps restore

Is there any program to make backup of apps, but only names (not APKs, not data etc.)?
I want to mass download all my apps, that I had before, but using Google Play.
Hi,
Ultimate Backup provides an option to share your list of installed apps. It can even include the Play Store link and version.

Ultimate Backup is the best .. but titanium backup is not bad
You can try MyBackup but it may be a problem to backup only names. I tried backup only apk. It works but when i tried to load backup on new soft it fall in bootloop. But i think on rooted phone it will work well
but when you restore programs after flashing a new rom it´s possible that you "build" bugs...for example flashing ics and then restore app´s which were installed under gb isn´t so good
If I got it right, then the question was how to export a list of installed apps to be able to install them again from Market. Manually that would be, without a backup of APK or app data.
with appbrain and also with the last relase of Market you can see the storyline of your app installed in your device
Guys, first of all - thanks for replying.
My idea is to "backup" apps without backing up any APKs or data (DO CLEAN INSTALL DOWNLOADING LATEST VERSIONS OF APPS) to prevent any bugs on new ROM.
Elentirmo74, yes, something like that.
So, for now the only solution is to use Appbrain storyline or Google Play Store history.
Play store has a list of all apps you have ever installed across all devices. That sounds like all you need as you can then redownload and install the ones you want.

[Q] How to remove pre-loaded ringtones on X8?

Hello everyone
I just rooted my Xperia X8, and was wondering how to remove the stock ringtones that were already pre-loaded on the phone when I bought it.
Also, which ones of these are best to remove such apps. and ringtones, and such?
1. Titanium backup
2. ultimate backup
3. system app.remover
thanks a million :good:
Ken
Go to system/media
There you will find all the ringtones..
delete the ones which you want..
Thanks to you both
I download Titanium backup from the Market, and removed those apps that I never use on the phone, such as Timescape..
:good:
for removing ringtone go to /system/media. for deodexed app i recommend using root uninstaller while for odexed app just use titanium backup.

Today, I downloaded Root Explorer from the web - I couldn't access the market, as I accidently deleted my Google Gmail account associated with the Market, and couldn't get in..
Anyhow; I went to system>media, and removed some Ringtones and some notification sounds that I didn't like...I switched off my phone for the
changes to take affect, and it worked perfectly.. when I went back into Root Explorer and tried to delete some more ringtones, it gave me this message:
Warning
InsertCoin.ogg cannot be deleted because the file system is read-only.
"'Insert coin" is the name of the ringtone that I want to delete..
If a file is read-only, you can press the "Mount RW" button, and it can then be removed )
On another note..
1.) I was wondering if the Sony Ericsson wallpaper can be deleted? I couldn't find the wallpapers in the system area using the Root Explorer.
2.) And also, will my phone be ok if I removed 'Sync'? Or is that conntected someway to the Gmail apps, and all that important stuff?
On Titanium Backup, I can only find "Synchronisation 1.0.0"
and on Root Explorer, there's only "Sync.apk" and "SyncWizard.apk"- anyone know what these are used for?
=))

[Q] How to uninstall facebook

Hi guys! I'm trying to remove/uninstall facebook from a stock rooted rom but it doesn't work. I've already tried to delete the apk files from /system/app but nothing. Any idea?
Thanks!
i believe titanium backup will work. otherwise, you can freeze the app so it won't launch or be seen in your launcher.

[Q] remove smartconnect

hi,i have a rooted xperia z1 running 4.4.2
how do i remove smartconnect?i have tried using root explorer, found an apk "......liveware" which had the same icon as the smart connect .
but it didnt help, the app is still in app drawer and when i try to open it ,it says "com.sonyericsson.extras.liveware has stopped"
can anyone help me in removing the app?
Use titanium backup to remove system apps
thanks, will try and see what happens
or you can simply disable the app in app manager......but in this way you disable it(not shown in drowner) not uninstall completely......
I tried titanium backup pro but couldn't find smart connect in the list.
I know about disable but it will still take up space in my internal storage.
