Hi there,
Having just upgraded from Galaxy S2 to the lovely Titanium Galaxy S3 GT-I9305, my questions are simple is there a way to root phone on the stock firmware? And are there any other ROM's available for this model that don't have any bloatware on it?
Current phone details:
AP: I9305XXALI5
CP: I9305BVALI5
CSC: I9305EVRALI5
Carrier: T-Mobile UK
I not very experienced with using CWM as I have only used Odin to flash firmware on the S2. Perhaps it's a good time to learn new ways etc.
Your help is appreciated.

Is there any particular problem that you need to solve which requires you to use the Stock Rom for South Africa? From my limited knowledge of the Galaxy Note, which i just got less than a week ago, if you are stuck with some firmware issues or bootloop or battery drain, whatsoever, just flash a stock full wipe rom and you should be fine. I would suggest flashing a stock firmware from this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997 say the first one XXKJ1 and then through the software updater inside the phone, update to the latest firmware from there. Hopefully this helps

All sorted thanks I Downloaded LA3 and flashed with CWM and kept CF root and cwm now using LA1 Kernel with CF root and working fine. My Problem was I was on Revo Note KL7 and could not restore back to my backup as MD5 was giving a mismatch error but everything is sorted out now.
Guys my mates given me a brand new unused Galaxy S I (2.1-Update1) that he wants me to root but im having issues finding what I need, cant seem to find a CF Root for this particular build:
PDA: I9000BOJG3
Phone: I9000BOJF1
CSC: I9000GTMUJG1
Its a UK T Mobile branded device but google suggests its a German build
Can anyone point me to the direction of required files please?
Cheers in advance

search for one click root, this was the old one click method for rooting froyo if my memory serves me right.....just make sure as always you read what it says....and i have a feeling someone updated it recently to work on gb so there may be 2 versions out there, or upgrade to gingerbread with odin and use a cf root....you can find a firmware for your country at samfirmware.com

Well done
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Can anyone help me with some instructions on how to do this?
I have a Galaxy S2 and My Dad has N7000 both on contracts with different suppliers and we want to swap phones.
I've been searching on methods to do so but can't find exactly what I need to do.
I've seen people write it has to be downgraded to 2.3.5 then unlocked.
IS it possible on 2.3.6 or do I need to downgrade? Where do I find the correct version of 2.3.5? (for UK, locked to Orange)
I know I use Odin to do it.
Once I've downgraded what do I do next?
Do I need to download software?
I'm just having trouble piecing it all together and would appreciate any help
Thank you
Check your kernel version. If you have KJ4 then try this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS5oZWxyb3ouZ2FsYXh5c3VubG9jayJd
It's confirmed to unlock Note on KJ4, maybe other kernels too. If your version is not supported - nothing will happen, so just try it. If it won't work on your current firmware, download GB KJ4 rom from dr. Ketan's guide, flash it, root and run this app again - it'll unlock your phone in seconds.
Here's link to the guide i mentioned:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
There is also a tutorial on rooting your phone should you need it.
As far as i know, this app is only compatible with the N7000. Do not use this app with AT&T / 4G model.
Thanks for your response
I don't have the KJ4 I have
PDA: N7000XXLC1
Phone: N7000XXLB2
CSC: N7000ORALA1
On that list from the link you gave me, I dont see a GB KJ4. Do I need an Open Europe Stock ROM of 2.3.5? Then I root, then use helroz's unlock app?
Thanks again
Hello.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S III Mini which is unlocked but also unrooted. I wish to get rid of the branded firmware that has useless apps from the mobile service provider that I don't use (the reason I unlocked the phone). This is my first smartphone ever so I'm very new at this but I read some topics and I understood that I do not really need to root the phone if flashing a stock firmware, however I want to be sure if it's better to root it just in case.
I wish to know which one is the best firmware for me to use (preferably unbranded stock firmware).
My version is in the screenshot.

Thanks in advance.
