What ROM is it? CM7 ROMS sometimes doing this for me. In the call settings there is an option called always use proximity or something similar. Try to check it.
Screen capture using "swipe palm over screen" does not work for me. I am on stock 4.0.4 ICS.
Hi! Has it worked before and suddenly stopped working? If thats the case I don't know how to fix it. But I remember when I first got my Note I thought it wasn't working, but for me it did turn out that it was me not doing the swipe correctly and I had to practice some times before I got the hang of it lol. =)

Hi all
After installing CM10 nightly 17112012, everything works fine, but sometimes in lockscreen
the touch screen stops responding (there is no touch). I have to take the batterie out.
Does someone have the same problem? Bug? or hardware?
If only touch stops to work then use power button to turn off or restart your phone. If even that doesn't work than it has probably nothing to do with the touch screen.
What ever it is seems that nightly doesn't work for you, try a other ROM. BTW if it was stable then it might not be called nightly.

Hi,
Like the topic says my Galaxy S1 keeps freezing when the screen turns out. I can press any buttons there will be no sign of a working phone. I always have to remove the battery and plug it in again. Then I have to restart the phone to be able to use it again.
I have cm10.1 nightly. I used the build of 27.02 since yesterday. Always worked since 1 or 2 weeks. Now I tried it with an update to the build of yesterday. Still no change.
Does somebody has a clue what to do?

Done!

I can confirm that this is working, be sure to restart your phone after applying the settings web hijacker posted.
NOTE: your phone will not go into deep sleep after applying this workaround as it will purposely cause a partial wakelock, so this will have some negative affect on battery, just how much remains to be seen.

Thank you for you feed back
And I don't care about battery because I charge my phone twice a day ....
Good find, I was searching for WiFi fix apps a couple of days ago on the play store, I installed a few, but none worked, I didn't see the one you linked to, so thanks for the heads up

Didn't work for me, chose the last option then went to advance menu and chose workaround 3 then rebooted. Still have the problem (unlock phone just to see no wifi) but it connected right after.

There is a fix for 3g problem?
It's about the same problem, when the telephone is in stand by mode for a long time (2 hours or more), the 3g stop working, it seems to be on, but it don't work ! You need to turn off and then turn on again to make it work !

I have no idea mate. Even i am troubled..
Installed again and did the work around 2 method and rebooted. Was going fine the whole day until I turned off wifi to save battery. Turned it back on, everything was fine, then I locked the phone. Unlocked it back and no wifi! But it reconnected really quickly so I guess this app is doing something!

I don't have such a problem but if you face it again just do one of these method and it will work
1.reboot the device
2.when you turn off WiFi to save your battery and turn it on again .... go to dev option and press enable work ground 2 again and this should solve the problem
