Hi everyone! I recently had bought a N7 but I'm still waiting for device arrival (I'm on Colombia) the 30th of December.
So, here is the thing : I just want to build a list of mostly n7 devices with almost zero troubles using the ssn of them. I have read that A90 ones are very faulty and the latest (c90k) are mostly very stable. Please, give me more feedback about it.

They are shipping ca0's now. The two I've gotten have been flawless.
This thread seems kind of iffy, what are you asking? If you want to know what models of the N7 have the least problems there is already a thread where you would e able to find that information.

Sorry but you're not going to find a flawless build.. I've had five now from c80 to ca0k all of them had some sort of screen lift. Its just a design flaw. Never had any other problems other than the lift. Really nice device. Doesn't bother me.

So I better expect the screen lift in my incoming n7???
Enviado desde mi MT27i usando Tapatalk 2
FWIW, my N73G unit is 100% perfect.
Zero screen lift, zero dead/stuck pixels, no backlight flickering issue, no problems whatsoever.
If you look at the internal components, there were some major differences between the 3G and Wi-Fi units - not just the inclusion of the SIM slot. Not sure if that helped "fix" the other issues, but I'm happy.

Pretty sure the chances of getting a good one are greatly improved but there still wasn't a "fix" but rather work arounds. So there is still a chance of getting one with a little lift. Again, this lift is really retarded and only noticeable once you look for it...
But the work around was by removing a few screws which seems to relax the plastic so it doesn't flex as much. My 32gb looks good perfect as did my launch 16gb N7. I had 2 16gb in between with lift... fixed with homemade washers on the screws.
32gb was October release which was CA0K or whatever. Anything after A (ie. B C D E F) should be far enough down the line to have this resolved since it is a known issue.
Perhaps they are using more / different glue or better screws or something but they know and should be looking for this before it leaves the plant.

I'm thinking of buying a Nexus 7, but I'm seeing tons of people posting with all kinds of screen problems. I'm wondering, is everyone having issues, or is it just the people who are having issues that are posting? So if you have a Nexus 7 and it is working great, I would love to hear from you.
No problems what so ever, ordered 27 June, got it yesterday and I've been through two full battery charges and rooted and its still running like a champ. Don't hesitate!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Mines great! It's probably just a 'nexus' of complaints here! Where else would you talk about it, that's making it look worse than it is perhaps.
Only problem I had was that it turned up TOTALLY empty of charge and needed a few minutes to get past 0%. Once done, it's been working great.
No flicker
No squeaky sides
No raised glass
It works and works great.
Non-rooted(so far), standard rom. Nothing out of the usual.
I dont! absolutely love the device!

No problems at all. My device is flawless. Great build quality on it.
Might be better if you create a poll then you will truly see most don't suffer from reported issues. It could be as simole as do you have any major hardware issues vs. Those who dont. Or are you satisfied with your nexus 7 vs. Those who arwnt. If you do, change thread title also. The complaints will always be voiced more over those who satisfied with their devices.
I'd easily recommend anyone to buy one of these ASAP.
No problems at all with mine.I am very happy with mine.Fast, looks good
And no issues with anything I have tried to do with it.

Some people reporting getting replacements with the same exact issue.

Yea colors, contrast, brightness and gamma.
Some people get lucky and get a screen they're satisfied with like yourself, but some of us aren't so lucky.
For example my N7s gamma is too high and everything is overly bright or has a bloom effect so to speak. Essentially making reading text a task. Stressful on my eyes, etc.

Then sir please explain me why the n4 which has a IPS LCD can be calibrated. The only reason we can't calibrate it is because the devs can't find an interface (kernel) to change the colors like it is with the n4 (or amoled devices) . Seems like nvidia and Asus went cheap on this one... I hope there will be some changes for the new Android version.

Calibrating this screen is simply not possible because the interface is not there. The only way to calibrate is using the specialized software from the factory, which we obviously don't have. It will never be possible in the kernel, unless google/asus adds it (unlikely).

Amoled always has calibration info to mess with due to how they work (no backlight) and their infancy requiring calibration.
Samsung devices almost always have calibration info, probably due to touchwiz and their display modes feature.
Nexus 4 users just got lucky. Google made a source change to emphasize yellows, leaving code for the devs to play with and now understand.

They(HTC) no longer hold a stake in the company itself, but that doesn't mean they don't still have licensing. From what I heard, Beats will continue to be offered.....but, that could just be rumor too.....

The phone would need to be a bit bigger for a larger battery. I think that battery life on my DNA is awesome. Although I do run a custom rom and kernel (latest cr-palmer kernel). I really don't think that they should use a smaller battery either, hopefully it will be more advanced.
I have a feeling (other elevate members will know what I'm talking about) HTC is considering going back to removable batteries.

the microphone bug in calls?
the microphone bug in videos?
the non received message and calls bug?
the intermittent slow WiFi bug when data is switched on?
