Thanks for this, it seems i have some files wrong for the TX version but it is very hard to fix as i dont have a tx.
For the saving to storage issue you can backup the internal storage then clear it in settings. That should work.
as for the upside down camera and screen dim I am looking at that,.

Did you hard SPL it, and are you sure you renamed the file correctly?
yes i did and try find a way used pc to flash it , anyone know
hey, sorry i aint an expert but have you flashed the rom to the root of the memory card, turned the phone off, taking the battery out for 3-5 seconds, re-installing the battery then holding down the volume down button and at the same time th epower button, this should then display the bootloader mode, then everything is basically automatic, and just follow the on screen instructions, down forget to hard reset after installation!

The ROMS ive installed recently tend to come bundled with RomUpdateUtility.exe which allows you to install the rom from your desktop via usb link.
Here's the ROM library:

Hey guys,
i got the same problem.
I tried to run the following rom on my phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188486 (latest version v009) and after i "installed" the rom, it wont start in the right way.
The phone is always freezing on the cyanogen mod 7 screen...
I got the same problem on the froyobread release too ;/
Maybe there s someone who know how to fix it?
The problem was for me too. But when I connected phone, not only it turned black, it rebooted and i saw bootanimation, and that was a loop od 3 times. I fixed it with Manager permissions option, try it, maybe it will be usefull, I don't know.
May be because you use a theme which is installed on sd card.
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
Can someyone tell that to doxianh?
I found how to fix black screen on usb only: when connect your phone (turn on storage function) transver files and do what you want, then in windows find your device or sd card right click on it and click ,,eject'' then on phone press ,,turn off usb storage'' and then just remove cable and screen will be automatically loaded try

You must always click eject whenever disconnecting any kind of external storage (sd, usb...)
I know that, but if I press back button when cable is connected everything freeze
Full wipe and battery reset solved my problem ;=)
hi, i have a problem: I use gingerdx 009 and sometimes it ask me for PIN unlock operator; i click "exit" and the x8 starts normally.. why?
Thats hapens to me because we have moded xperia to work on 1 mobile operator but rom like gingerDX support it much more just ignore thst
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
When I just installed the GingerDX ROM I had the freeze on animation problem, and it gones with a full-wipe just after the reinstallation of the ROM, you might try install the custom zip and do a full wipe before restart from xrecovery
for the USB problem, as the last post, you have to use safe eject before turn off USB massibe storage from the phone

hi there, I have the same issue with auto-rotation, it does not work anymore (even if auto-rotate toggle is on).
I dialed your code, and as result, I have a black arrow pointing up, with written below 'Accelerometer Senor Test'.. how can I understand if it is actually working? Thanks for your time.
Update: here's how test works, http://dc442.4shared.com/doc/L_8P0YtP/preview.html
For me, the arrow does not move.. so, what should I do?

first try to reset the phone and test.
if not, flash stock firmware and test.
if it doesnt work, it means you have a hardware issue (sensor broken)

I see, but, do you know is there any other option than hard resetting? Elixir 2 (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bartat.android.elixir&hl=it) detects my accelerometer (by giving detailed informations), but it is like it is stucked / frozen.
I wonder if there is a way to 'un'freeze it.

Okay, TY, I see if I can find alternatives, I'm going to update this thread soon.
EDIT: finally fixed.
Here's how (for my s3 mini 4.1.2, modded stock TouchWiz):
1) enter Recovery
2) wipe dalvik cache and cache
3) update kernel (in my case, with Virginity's one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2550392): it is a modded version of AMJ3 kernel, for me, it works fine).
G-sensor aka Auto rotate aka Screen rotation now is back working fine.
Previously, I had already wiped cache and dalvik cache, so I can only guess that I needed a cleaner kernel.
PS. For future needs, if you have Fastboot on your device (s3 mini has not got), you can also check this out:
Here is a description of the exact process I used to adjust the sensor:
1. Power down phone.
2. Hold volume down button down while turning power on.
3. Wait for black screen with light blue text with yellow text as highlight with blue background.
4. Screen title: Factory Mode with selections, Full Test, Item Test, Test Report, Clear eMMC, Version and Reboot.
5. Select Item Test using the volume up and down button then push the Home button.
6. There is a very long list of items: selected the G-Sensor Calibration > home button.
7. There are four items: Clear Calibration, Do Calibration(20), Do Calibration(40), and Exit.
8. Select Clear Calibration > Home button.
9. Lay on flat surface and do not touch while calibrating.
10. Select Do Calibration(20) > Home button.
11. Select Exit > Home button
12. No selection on this screen used Back Button.
13. Select Reboot > Home button.
14. This reboots back into regular interface and complete.

[Q] Camera shutting down phone

Hello.
I have a problem with my camera in my Note.
Using custom ROM - ParanoidAndroid 4.6 and when I want to take a picture the phone turn off, nothing can be done - only helps to remove the battery. I noticed that this happens only when I use the flesh - without doing normal - This applies to the original AOSP camera.
I also tried with google camer from Playstore, but it is also the same - including even have a problem with the recording, because the image is freezing.
Can someone help me?
ps. I'm sorry for my english, is really weak I hope, everything is clear and understandable.
Must be a bug or something..............
Try flashing stock Gingerbread 2.3.5 prerooted + cwm, with PC Odin
1. Download this http://d-h.st/HJM
2. Flash with PC Odin (Add via PDA button and make sure ONLY Auto reboot is checked)
3. Wait till completed
4. Boot into recovery (Which will now be CWM)
5. Do a factory reset and wipe cache and dalvik cache
6. Enjoy and Please smash my thanks button
Read thread carefully next time and make sure users are not having problems with rom.

How to root Lenovo k3 note?

Hello,
Sorry if this question is asked before, I did search actually in the forum, but couldn't find anything clear.
I got a lenovo k3 note, but it has some annoying apps installed which may be infected.
Apps such:
I love wallpaper
Caller ID
Twitter
MaxxAudio
Clean Master
DU battery saver
Browser (it seems there are two installed)
probably more....
All these apps are installed in the system so they can not be uninstalled directly. so rooting is a must in this case I guess (i'm newbie in these things)
So the main question is how can this phone be rooted?
Thanks in advance.
Lenovo K3 Note
I am also facing same problem. Any help?
It is wired that I can not disable any pre-installed app. Is this an issue in Android 5.0? Can someone please help?
It is easy to root this wonderful smartphone :
1/ Go here and download the CWM recovery v6.0.5.1 : http://pan.baidu.com/s/1mguuByg
2/ Flash it with SPFlashTool. Important : you must to check the option "DA DL All with Checksum" otherwise it will not boot!
3/ root : reboot to CWM recovery and install the supersu update zip : https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/
4/ Gapps: reboot to CWM recovery and install google gapps 5.0 minimal : http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-google-apps-minimal-edition-t2943330
Here where you can find the last official roms : http://www.vibeui.com/vibeui/rom?key=k3 note
After flashing an official rom, you have to redo all those steps.
I don't think the phone will be rooted in that way. I did red that before. I do have access to CWM, in Chinese language unfortunately, but the phone is not rooted.
I root it this way many times
The recovery I give you is in English and china, you must choose your language at the beginning.

Hi,
I rooted my Lenovo K3 Note just yesterday (received it on tuesday) and had the same problem (Twitter + User Experience with viruses [checked with ESET] ).
This topic helped me quite a lot, but I still had some trouble flashing the phone.
If it can help you, here is a link to what I did : chinasmartphonereview.com/lenovo-lemo-k3-note-recovery-google-service/
Since I had to tweak the process a bit, here is what I did :
Download MT6752 Flash Tool and MT6752 USB Driver (see link above)
Install USB Driver and reboot PC (just to be sure)
Unzip Flash tool and choose flash_tool.exe
Run Flash Tool, Option – Download – “DA DL All with Checksum” must be ticked on
Click Scatter-loading-Choose MT6752_Scatter (CWM recovery folder)
Tick the Recovery (if it's not already ticked)
Turn off Phone and Remove Battery, Remove SD-Card, SIM Card
Plug-in USB Cable to PC (USB Port) – Phone to PC
Press POWER for a couple of seconds
Choose Download and Click Download (Flash tool)
Reinsert Battery
If Unsuccessful (Red Bar) – repeat from step Turn off Phone and Remove Battery, Remove SD-Card, SIM Card
Once it was done, I installed SuperSU and an app to remove those troublesome viruses (for example : "Easy Uninstaller" on the play store).
Hope it helps...
Still, many thanks to dreambo

I had to try several times in order to successfully do it.
I don't know if it changes anything but, did you activate the "USB Debugging" ? I activated it on my last try...
My main problem was linked to the drivers : my computer had a hard time using the right ones (always checking Windows Update, had to disable it).
When it worked, I just pressed the power button, released it, inserted the battery and clicked "Download" in the next 5 sec. My computer used the right drivers, everything went smoothly (CMW installed in less than 5 sec with a big green symbol that I was REALLY happy to see).
If it doesn't trigger in the first 10sec, it failed : you can unplug your USB, shutdown your phone, remove the battery and repeat the process (press the power button, release it, plug the USB cable, insert battery, press Download).
Just keep an eye on your drivers to make sure Windows is using the ones you have installed...
Hope it helps...

Done.
Sorry for asking what has already been asked, but just to clarify (because I have followed the above steps),
Do I insert the battery after I press download, or after it's finished? Neither seems to work. I insert the battery after pressing download, and get the battery meter showing on the screen and some chinese writing. If I press the screen, the phone boots up?
Does quick/fast boot need to be turned off?
How do I tell the flash program which drivers to use?
If I'm waiting a few minutes after each try, is that long enough?
EDIT: Got it working on a different PC. Having the same issue as XPSrobs now. Can't install Superuser and root check is saying it's not rooted, however CWM is installed.
EDIT: re-read the post from dreambo on the first page:

It seems that you have not install the drivers (VCOM drivers, it is special drivers that works only with SPFlashTool).
The drivers is the step the more important and more difficult
The drivers enter in action only if, the phone is completely off and then we plug it to the USB port.
Some times we have to do exactly those steps :
0- install correctly the drivers, if not already done.
1- unplug the phone from USB
2- turn completely off the phone
3- extract the battery from the phone (for me and my lenovo k3 note this step is not necessary, no need also to extract SIM or SDCARD)
4- Press the download button in SPFlashTool
5- plug the phone to USB
6- place the battery in the phone.
Immediately after this last step, the phone is detected by SPFlashTool, even if it is turned off !
It must always works, if not it's a drivers issue! (there is many tutorials to install drivers for SPFlashTool)
not forget also to get the latest version off SPFlashTool, because the MT6752 is a recent SOC : see here http://mtk2000.ucoz.ru/load/soft/soft_mtk/sp_flash_tool/5-1-0-14
It does seem to have worked now, the program was doing stuff and I got a message with 'download succeeded' and a big green checkmark.
However, it still doesn't seem to be rooted, nor can I find a way to boot into recovery. I'm probably being a big blithering idiot, but I can't find any mistakes I made and I did all the described steps.
Any suggestions?

I agree, it doesn't look very legit.
I'm still having no luck using the method on here. I think Dreambo is right, and that I may just have an issue with drivers, although I can't quite figure out what I'm missing.
