The Windows Phone 8 devices sure look enticing. My question is if anyone knows what profiles are supported. I need the MAP profile for text mirroring and would really like the PAN profile as well.
Bluetooth Profiles varies between the models:
Lumia 920
A2DP 1.2, AVRCP 1.4, GAP, GAVDP 1.2, HFP 1.5, HSP 1.1, OPP 1.1, PBAP 1.0, SDAP, SPP 1.0, RFCOMM with TS 07.10.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll stay on the sidelines for now.

Hi everyone.
From what I have been able to understand from this site, the Bluetooth stack under WM5 used with the image used here at xda-developers.com is provided by Microsoft.
Does anybody have information regarding what profiles it supports? I am especially interested in whether or not BT stereo headphones that require the A2DP (advanced audio distribution) profile will work on my PDA2K?
Thank you for any information you can provide...
As far as I'm aware it supports Handsfree and headset profiles. It does not support A2DP. I thought A2DP was BT 2.0, but I may be wrong!

A2DP is definitely possible under 1.2, but I guess Microsoft has not released this at all yet on any WM 5 device...sigh.
Im looking for some BlueTooth Stereo headphones, that will work with my Sprint PPC 6600. Its BT stack is 1.0 and dosn't have the A2DP profile. Is there a way to update my phone so it will suport the A2DP profile or is there BT Stereo Headphones that don't have the A2DP profile that will work on my phone? Please let me know what update or changes I will need to make. Thx.
Hi,
I have bought the Philips SHB 6110 Headset and I can connect it succesfully to my HTC Touch HD.
Hoever I want to use the headset for calling on skype or realated PC software, thus I want to connect the headset to the PC.
I had one bluetooth dongle but it didn't want to connect, I bought another one cheap just to try, Trust Bt-2100p, which comes with a Toshiba stack, however I cannot connect with those ones either.
The Trust dongle supports BT 2.0 + EDR
I think it is because of the profiles, the headset has the following profiles:
Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, Bluetooth stereo
support (A2DP – Advanced Audio
Distribution Profile, AVRCP – Audio Video
Remote Control Profile), Bluetooth mono
support (HSP – Headset Profile, HFP
– Hands-Free Profile)
However, for the bluetooth dongle usually it is not written on the pack which profiles it supports.
Do you think I could try to make it work, or do I need to buy another bluetooth dongle with A2DP?
I just put mine in discovery mode and it find the headset
and it see the profile
I use the ms stack got the usb bluetooth with a ms mouse
with bluetooth
used a bluetake stereo headset before and that worked ok with
the toshiba stack unlike the broadcomm bt stack which would
only do headset not a2dp

Hi!
I have JVC KD-R841BT head unit. I had a Nokia 5800 and works perfectly, but with HTC One no. I try to pair and when the pin code appear on my phone i push accept then nothing happens. On the unit shows the pin code and that's all. I tried to play music from phone and nothing.
I wrote to JVC support, and they told me that my phone do not support some bluetooth profile.
The unit support the following profiles:
Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.5)
Object Push Profile (OPP 1.1)
Phonebook Access Profile (PBAP 1.0)
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP 1.2)
Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP 1.3)
Can you help me? Can i add some bluetooth profiles ?
Thanks for your reply.
