but how do i go to download mode? my phone is stuck at the galaxy ace logo.
to go to download mode...press power button with up and down volume key...
First make sure that your phone is switched off. If its stuck on the logo, take out the battery and reinsert it.
Goto recovery mode by pressing home+volume up+power buttons simultaneously. Press install zip from sd and select CWM zip file. Then in CWM select backup and restore. Then select restore.
Click thanks if I helped

Galaxy S I9001 bricked? (system.img.ext4 download)

Hi Guys,
I have a big problem with my Galaxy Plus (I9001). I wanted to flash the original stock firmware (2.3.6) and always at the part "system.img.ext4 download" its stucking (waited about 40 minutes).
I also tried to flash BroodROM RC5 with odin, but here is the same problem it stucks at "system.img.ext4 download".
If I try to get into recovery i always get the Ramdump Mode. Flashing CWM recovery dont take any effect (Odin does not issue error).
Sorry for bad english.
I hope u can help me
thx JerI

Try getting it to recovery mode by pressing Home + power button..
And if it does, then format it!
If not, try download mode by home + power + vol down/up (I don't remember )
If it goes there flash it with a new firmware

WELL IF ITS NOT GOTTA GOIN TO RECOVERY OR DOWNLOAD MODE...THEN YOU MAY BE SURE THAT IT IS HARBRICKED...
IN THAT CASE I SUGGEST YOU SHOULD SAY BYE-BYE to YOU SGM..
There is something you can do...
I've got the same thing this morning... I went to a local service with it and they said that on Monday they will send it to another service to fix it.
If you do that, don't tell them you have root, etc. Just tell them the phone isn't booting anymore.

Firstly, you should know custom roms for "cooperve" are designed to run only on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i and not on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. Only custom roms for "cooper" are designed to run on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. Due to hardware differences, running cooperve roms or kernels on Samsung Galaxy Ace can brick your phone. Sadly you have bricked your phone. But @SuperMini has provided us with a rather simple guide on how to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace. Go through the entire thread and you will get to know all the possible solutions. Here is the link,

Can you try switching the USB ports? Also try to enter Download mode by pressing Vol Down+ Power+ Home button as per the guide again. Pressing Vol Up+ Power+ Home button makes your phone to enter RAM Dump mode. Also inside odin, unselect "Protect OPS" option and give it a try. Do post your result. Hope I Helped

It seems that you are in great trouble, according to my knowledge u need to get your device serviced somewhere or if can get the tool that you need
. You need a hardware called Downloader
if u can get it you jus need to plug it into your device on the Micro Usb port i,e the charging hub and switch on your deive it will straight away take you to the download mode Then unplug the Downloader and plug in the usb cable and flash it to stock using odin,
I have given a thread how to flsah galaxy ace back to stock using odin check that too...
Good Bye
