many things dont work (please don't post bugs on bugtraker for now)
use 4.2 gapps for cm10.1

Just a warning about flashing 4.2. The storage system is completely changed. The data partition is now no longer used and the sdcard partition serves as both data and emulated sdcard. Keep that in mind before you flash this. You will need to move your files around.
Also audio is temporarily broken and camera and HDMI out do not work.

Missed this, will link to the all in one

Nice, but i'll wait for the nightly's before testing this.
Good work for starting on this :good:

Has 4.2 gapps still got the 5mp camera?
I know that was the big issue with my Pac man install

Now that nightlies for 10.1 are being churned, any chance the 'how to install' section in the FXP website could be updated on what needs moving around to get 10.1 installed ?

Nightlies are not being produced yet as there is still some stuff to sort. Once nightlies do start though either the fxp team (or if they don't I) will produce a guide.

I have not flashed 4.2 so I dont yet personally know whats what. But I'd like to understand of course.
In 4.2 /data doesnt exist anymore, the previously reserved storage is freed and available to the user as /sdcard and data is (without actually having seen it, I reckon) stored in a sub-folder in that directory. The external memory is presented as a sub-folder as well in said directory. More or less correct?
If so, hurray! That would tremendously simplify messing around with app data and backups.

Also what Ive read that data moves to a sub folder called 0, this folder is the "main" user aka multi-user mode. Note that 4.2 phones dont support multi-user but its being standardized. So by this logic the second user (for tablet users) data will be stored in a sub folder called 1. Etc...

does not seem to be + funny thing is that developer friendly Xperia T doesnt have CM10.1 and developers unfriendly with bad documentation Galaxy S III does have CM10.1 so i am glad that i have SGS III and mom has Xperia T

Yep. The groundwork has been laid so that camera should now work/work very soon.
And to the guy with the S3 - good luck for future android versions. A lot of hard work has gone into porting the Nexus 4 kernel. With the old kernel we essentially had CM10.1 almost fully working within 2 weeks of official code drop.
Essentially we took a step backwards by rebasing all work on te Nexus 4 kernel but took multiple steps forward as from now on anything the Nexus 4 has we can have pretty much at the same time.

That's pretty awesome, and pretty nice that there's such compatibility out of Qualcomm. With what you've learned, do you think that the Xperia T will be supported well for as long as the Nexus 4?
And finally, is the camera the last thing you guys want working before release?

Awesome awesome news to hear. Cannae wait!

I have so much love for you guys, dump your GFs, I have enough for all of you
I have to admit, without any word out and no updates on the progress being made, I was wondering where the Sony guys where with the Exynos4 having an up and running base system. But this brings the grin back onto my face. Thanks

I'm sorry if this is a bit too early to ask, is Miracast support going to work its way into the CM build for the Xperia T? It officially is supported in the factory ROM, so wonder if it will be activated accordingly in CM.

This thread can be used to identify issues aswell as exploring fixes and such before getting our ICS from Motorola. The CM9 thread was filled to the brim with newb and rubbish posts (including mine )

Does anyone know if the kernel in this ROM is the same as the epinter's?

I have two camera icons. One works but not for panoramic (or video obviously). The other can't connect to the camera. After one can't connect a reboot is intermittently required to connect.
Internal and external mount points are reversed by default. Changing the option to use the internal mount point doesn't seem to make
The download directory is now located on internal storage. Toggling internal/external storage doesn't make any difference. Perhaps this is because the mount points are now /storage/sdcard0 (internal) and /storage/sdcard1 (external) I never looked for them in CM9 though so maybe that much hasn't changed. There's no /emmc that I can find.
I flashed the ROM and GApps over epinter's 20120721 build. Mount points were the same there but the camera worked as well as in the CM9 builds.
jb has that mount point, sdcard0 for internal and sdcard1 external. found in /storage/
like you said, cm9 has emmc and sdcard.

working well so far, same issues as ICS lol
but i found something i dont know if its just me, rom toolbox isnt working it says that i dont have root access (can anyone confirm )
, superuser is there, im a bit of a noob here (lol) its been a long time since i rooted and unlocked my phone... so my question is how do i check if i still have root access or how can i fix the problem with rom toolbox? it was working fine until i updated to JB

NIGHTLY BUILDS
Are HIGHLY experimental. Do not post issues to the issue tracker. Chances are the CM team already knows about the issue and are working to fix it. Be patient flash the next nightly. Complaning about battery life or any number of issues will not change a thing as to that these are EXPERIMENTAL builds!!!
M-Series
Something we have learned over the past few months is that if you don’t release, someone else will do it for you. Since we are open-source, we absolutely encourage it! Unfortunately, the quality of unofficial builds can vary, and we are serious about quality. Of course nightlies are always available, but we realized that having something that is a bit more stable on a more frequent basis is important. Starting now, we are rolling out our M-Series releases. M-Series builds will be done at the beginning of every month. We did a soft freeze of the codebase for the last week, blocking new features in order to stabilize. Our plan is to continue this (assuming that the response is good) up until stable release, and onward.
We aren’t exactly sure what M stands for. “Monthly”, “milestone”, or perhaps “MINE ALL MINE!”. Whatever it is, I hope that we are meeting the needs of community.
M-Series builds will be available under the EXPERIMENTAL tag. The filename will include the date stamp as well as the M version. These builds should be stable enough for daily use, and we encourage feedback and bug reports.

Everything is believed to be working at the time of release.

Flashed this first official nightly over the top of the last unofficial build, as I had just recently done a full wipe and couldn't be bothered doing another one. Everything working fine.
Love the newly-ported notification bar settings from CM10 to CM10.1 for circular battery with percentage, etc, which wasn't in latest unofficial build.
Looking forward to daily flashes now!

Installed 29th Build with wiping cache only.

Didn't see anything new in it so mainly bugfixes I think

I have to say, in case anyone's interested, this ROM has given me the best battery life I've been able to get from any smartphone I've owned. Performance is also very good, the phone almost doesn't get hot. I get a few hiccups here and there while playing games and only one random reboot so far. I don't think updating to kit kat is worth it until ART works.
Just my two cents.

Agreed, everything works as it should, there are some silly bugs like signal showing DC instead of 3G when NOT charging and custom light colour doesn't seem to work for charging lights, but so what this ROM is rock stable

I’ve tried all the 4.4 builds and CM10.2 – and the issues are battery drain, overheating when charging (despite charging really slowly) – though I must admit performance/stability are great.
This build however is release candidate quality – sure I’ll try the other roms, but I think this will be my default custom rom.
Understandibly a lot of SP development has focused on 4.4, but it's telling (IMO) that the most updated custom rom for the SP, MiUi, is based on 4.2.2/CM10.1.

Damn I think this is actually the most underrated custom ROM for the SP! I know lots of people want to upgrade to kitkat, which is also more beautiful and good looking for its white icons and transparencies, but this CM10.1 is blazing fast, it doesn't charge slowly like CM11 & co. and the battery lasts maybe even longer than stock rom!! Think I'm gonna stick with this for a while, waiting for sony to eventually fix its buggy 4.3... Thanks guys, hope you can do such a nice work with CM11 in the future! :good::good::good:
I got this phone yesterday and went from CM 11 to 10.2 and finally to this one and it's pretty much perfect. Fast and bug free, all one really needs
The only thing that kind of bugs me is when the navigation bar is disabled in landscape, from example when you rotate the camera app ther eis just a black bar there and I have to straighten the phone back to in order to press home.
Is this a know issue with the phone or is there something I'm doing wrong?
EDIT: Scratch that, it was on my end. Maybe some theme messed it up or something, all it took was a reboot Thanks for this amazing rom, keep it up!
Now I have a real question for a change.
Do we have a proven method to swap External and Internal SD cards on this rom/phone? I've been looking for a working method for hours now and everything I found brakes the Settings app and the media process.

Hey, guys. I'm still searching for the perfect ROM for SP. I tried various ROMs but all of them seem to have problems like battery drain, low performance, laggy interface, RAM problems and so on...
I was just wondering how good is this ROM? Does it have any problems? And what about gaming?

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Yes this is an updated build from the one I posted in the 10.2 thread
A quick pointer to the PA Gapps thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
There's a lighter version of the Gapps package there if you don't use so many of the Google services, and it should always have links to up to date versions.
Don't forget to format your system partition and re-flash the whole ROM if you are changing between GApps versions, or you may have some leftovers from the previous version.
Wrong Thread......
testing the 11-11 built. Seems like there is a problem accessing files on the /storage/emulated/legacy (or 0).
Can't delete anything. Can't modify anything... but you can browse... Read Only almost like?
Thanks for quick work !
Code:
set_metadata_recurcive : some changes failed (status 7)
Even with a cwm 6.0.4
I'll update to the build from nov 11th in the next hours and going to give a feedback later too.
@sbrissen: maybe it does make sense to add my cwm6044.tar.md5 to the first post?! Or at least your img-file.
Edit: what's the difference between pa_gapps-full-4.4-20131111-signed.zip and gapps-kk-20131031.zip?

Posted my heimdall in the OP, can you just shoot up a link to your odin copy?
The difference that I've noticed in the 2 are the PA gapps have the "OK google" feature. Maybe they both do but I noticed it after flashing the PA gapps
That's what I just did:
- boot into recovery (rename the attached file to recovery.tar.md5 and flash it with odin) (or download it from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!J18HxR7C!WJMuYhLvpYCPlN-giWs2u0Sr4wRzgBvajTNOP_L5gyU)
- "format /system"
- "format /cache"
- flash cm_n5110-ota-sbrissen_11-11.zip
- flash pa_gapps-full-4.4-20131111-signed.zip
Issues:
- back- and menu-button are not working (sometimes I can close popup-messages with the back-button)
- /storage/emulated/0 not writeable (as already stated by mbze430)
- gallery is not working
- no screenshots
- screen goes a bit crazy during rotations
Edit: I tried to install Root Explorer via the Play Store, but no keyboard showed up. Voice search did work. After I have started Root Explorer and set / to be rw the back- and menu-buttons are working and the keyboard showed up too.
PA GAPP definitely good for ART.. However one of the most important tool "TiBu" doesn't work with ART. That is like the biggest "WTF". lmfao. Seems like ConfigUpdate has been taken out from this new release.
Do we REALLY need torch.apk ? lol
Will the CM team ever accept this as an official? Would love to see nightlys
EDIT1: Almost ****ted in my pants... ExtSdCard is reading empty on the device... but I checked it with a PC... everything is there... so ExtSdCard isn't being read correctly? Also seems like Android 4.4 is dumping all kinds of txt files in the ExtSdCard. It is being recognized as "/mnt/media_rw/sdcard1" in Solid Explorer??
EDIT2: Definitely something is wrong with the partition permissions... Viper4Android no longer can write to the /system partition with 11-11 built.

Hey
I got this same error, what I did was that I flashed the TWRP aroma touch recovery from the XDA thread for GT-N5110 and it worked like a charm!
Here's the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483844

Checking the extSdCard issue now. CM just forked my repos last night, I'll start the process to get 10.2 nightlies going. They have not start 11.0 nightlies for any devices yet.
I can also confirm the sdcard not being writable. I'm thinking between that and the extSdCard strangeness perhaps the storage just gets mounted weirdly upon boot.
In addition, it seems to me that long pressing the home button no longer brings up the recent apps drawer.
This version installed without a hitch and aside from the SD card issue, works great!
Also, not that important but Im just curious- why can't I get the launcher looking like kitkat? It still retains jelly bean look even after third party launchers and what not.
Thanks and when the funds allow I'd be glad to donate!
Hi guys! First of all thanks a lot sbrissen for your work!!!! I've been waiting for CM working on my Note8 since I bought it.
Two questions I have:
- When it will be available to download from CM official site.
- Does all the s-pen features work with this build? (by features I mean the quick access, aerial preview, etc)
Thanks again!

Simple answer is no. From the way things look, it will never. You will need 3rd party apps to get some of those features back
Keep getting a status 7 error, any help?

"my" rom is just plain CM11.
Not entirely sure, but you can try and flash it over (and add GAPPS aswell), and hope it'll use your data partition as is. Tho it might conflict

Running ART? If yes, that might be why. I got the same gapps fc with it.
You can try and clear it's cache tho, that might fix it

That solved it thank you.
So many apps crashes on ART, Titanium Backup, Whatsapp, Viber, Helium, etc. Hope they'll update these apps.
Yes they do for me to. But with the aokp rom everything works flawlessly with art on. Wonder why it doesn't work with this one.
BTW @LaMaaH your rom rocks. Just updated to your latest and it's smooth as butter.Anyway you could look into Art?
