How to take screenshot on razri? - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've tried power +volume down but have no luck, is there is a key combination to do it?
Or are there any 3rd party apps that will work?
Thx

Keep them both held down for a few seconds together should work

I know cm7 got it. But cm7 still not completed work for our phone. And I need solution for another rom. I think may be a deverloper can do it for stock rom or Tj style by moding buildprofile or something else

i dont think its possible to even remap keys i have tried and failed...
what happens is that when our phone goes in sleep mode... the softkeys get disabled.

The volumes key still are hard key. As we used it in cwm recovery I think it could be done by mod.

Re map power button

My phone has been water damaged and the power button no longer works,I searched the forums and found a thread regarding remapping volume button to work as power button but this was for the captivate, will this be the same for sgs2, does anyone have a link to explain how to do it, my phone is stock and not rooted, thanks in advance

Had a look there is a button re mapper but it didn't sound like the right thing

C can't see how button remapping will help, you will still be short of a button?
The problem is everytime my phone runs out of battery the only way to get it back on is to remove and replace the battery, this sometimes takes ages too re boot the phone, so I want to replace one of my hard keys for a power button i.e. the up volume on the rocker button, in a different thread it explained how to do it on the Samsung captivate, by re mapping the buttons

A very critical question!!!

Hello and happy new year!!!
I have a question for xperia T.
With my arc s a had many times to remove the battery when something went wrong with custom roms.
With Xperia T what can we do when phone is not responding at all?
Hold the volume+ and power button together until you feel the phone vibrate 3 times consectutively. This takes around 5 - 10 seconds.
Thanks a lot.
Holding down the volume+ and power button didnt work for me, tried at least 10 times. Had to remove the backcover/battery, which was a pain in the ass. Warranty probably void too -_-

Try the same action, but wait for the first vibrate and then let go, then try to turn on your phone, ive just tried it on my T i have here, and it works.
For me that combination worked, thanks !
But there is another combination : You have to press all physical buttons at the same time (power + vol+ + vol- + camera).

I think this is a placebo, it is only vol& power that has an effect, but could be wrong. I would like to know the facts about hardware button actions if anyone with the knowledge or skill could confirm? Thank you.

It's just vol+ and power.
Vol- and power takes screenshot.

Dude, I did not know that shortcut, I've been using power button menu, thank you pressed!! These are the kind of tips that deserve listing, do you have more!!!!??!!!! Perhaps Greg could add a "handy features" section to his guide!!
sent from my T, which is so good it nearly makes the tea. ;p
I will add that feature when I get back to my computer, and if people want to pm me with more useful tips I will add then as well.

How do I customise the signature on xda premium app?

Simple Reset not wiping anyone knows how to?

Phone started acting weird today. It's not rebooting. I press power hold it nothing happens. Power menu doesn't come up I can't do screen shot either lol. Power button does turn on screen and off tho. I tried holding power for a longer time but still no responding. ****er doesn't want to reboot or turn off. Anyone knows what system app controls that? Maybe I can force stop or something.

How to take a screenshot

Hi
How do you take a screenshot on the HTC one?
Thanks
I get a camera out of my bag and take a photo of the whole phone.
Joking, it's done by pressing the power button and home button at the same time

your timing must be off, try again.
Press power then home
Confirmed
I hold down the power button and the volume down key at the same time for a few seconds. That definitely works!

How do I draw on a screenshot so that I can send it to someone via sms/mms? I tried Skitch, but it didn't have the option to send via the stock messaging app under the share menu.
