[Q] kf2 non hd bootloader crack/cm10? - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a kindle fire 2 rooted on 10.2.3. I have been looking at threads about bootloader cracks for the 8.9 but haven't been able to find anything containing the actual crack or anything about the non hd variant. Can someone show me what I need to find? Also how do I get to fastboot on this device?

Confirmed to be working, rooted my device last night, now i need a new rom since i got rid of alot of the stock apps and now the main screen's option for web etc don't work or lead to anything.
Also, installed google frame works and got working store, but gmail and youtube just open and immediately close saying 'youtube has stopped/gmail has stopped/'" anyone else have that problem?

I tried the bootloader crack as listed in the 8.9 development. Either i am doing something wrong or it may not work for the KF2. Anyone else try it??

I tried the commands that say prepare for CWM.
And then when I rebooted after issuing the fastboot command...it didn't go into fastboot mode.
From what I read there its supposed to. I am not a noob and get around but I am not a developer.
Do we have someone that can champion CM10 for the KindleFire2

I'm not even sure how to get to fastboot on this device, I do know that the original kindle fire had to have the idme bootmode 4002 command to get to fastoboot but I don't want to screw up my device trying to get to fastboot without someone who knows what they are doing telling me how to.

[Q] Kindle Fire HD in a brick.

Hello!
I'd like your advise. My Kindle Fire went into brick afeter I tried to install TWRP 2.3.1.1. It rebooted and cannot be turned on after that at all. Anything I tred on it does not work, no reaction to the attempt to switch it on or connect it to the PC. Any advise at all, Please? I need to know if there is a chance to revive the thing.
Thank You.

I'm agree with you, it's my fault and my problem. But in theory, what is possible to make, to get back kindle to life?
Well...in theory, you would have to obtain the private signing keys from Amazon so a custom bootloader can be made for the new devices. Then you would have to put it in USBboot mode, most likely by shorting the USBboot pin to a ground point on the device and using a custom tool like Firekit, made for the 2nd generation devices, to send low level USB commands to the device and flash a signed bootloader.
But that's all speculation at this point.

Hardly. I was thinking ADB drivers since the commands returned with denied permission.
Try a factory reset then try again, make sure allow installation from unknown sources is ticked, when you get the prompt on your kindle to restore during the process enter your amazon password then hit restore.
Thanks you guys are the best, wish i was born 20 yrs later lol

I DID IT!!!!!!! This is a big deal for me and this is how I(ole Grany) here Rooted a Kindle Fire HD 7.4.1.
I Changed PC's from Win 7 to Windows XP
I did a clean install of the ADB Drivers for Kindle(Made sure it showed up in Device Manager (No SDK install)
I restored Kindle to Factory, Set the Accept things like adb and developer thing in the kindle
I installed the Bin4ry v26(tried v30 would not work)
I extracted the Bina4ry to desktop to folder called "rooting"
then went to prompt and / cd desktop/rooting/runme
First go I thought I screwed up Kindle all apps gone and it was in slow mo..
Did a factory reset
Started over...BAM! I almost peed my pants...
Then followed instructs for installing Play...BAM..done
Now all I need is a new rom which I have no idea which is best so give me some ideas and I will learn how to install that
Oh I used es explorer(the new one) ad task manager.
I swear the Kindle seems faster..

[Q] Kindle Fire HD 7" - 7.4.6 - 7.2.3

Trying to install the 2nd bootloader and TWRP onto my Kindle Fire HD 7", and came across a thread that had pretty intensive steps, so i followed these and everything seemed to be going through great with no problems. One of the steps was to Restore the Kindle to 7.2.3, to then allow the installation of the 2nd Bootloader using FireFlash and to install TWRP.
I ran the KFA program and selected the representing option, and it downloaded the System Images and prompted me to continue at certain steps, and everything seemed to have worked perfectly fine, no problems at all. The final step was to hard reset and then boot the Kindle back up and then check to make sure the Kindle was now on 7.2.3, and if it was I then needed to disable OTA Updates.
However, after doing all this and hard resetting the Kindle, it is still on 7.4.6 even though KFA said that everything had worked perfectly fine and that everything was successful. Tried it again making sure I followed every step to the letter and I have been presented with the same outcome.
Anyone have any advise they can give to overcome this problem, as I really don't know where i'm going wrong, if I am at all
Thanks

Kindle Fire First Aide has some some recent problems. If your are trying to restore, use your fastboot cord or make sure to have this tool boot your tablet into fastboot using regular USB cord and use this restore tool.

Un-Root Back to Stock

I am having a ridiculous amount of trouble with my kindle. I had rooted it and was swapping through roms quite frequently trying to find something I liked. Somewhere along the way something got messed up. I just want to wipe it completely and start fresh. No root. I have looked for several hours on the web and cant seem to find anything. I need a barney style breakdown step by step with all download links and everything. I get the basics but the terminology gets confusing. Thanks in advance.

Why are you using Kindle Fire utility? Do you wish to turn your Kindle into a paperweight? KFU is for first generation only. You need a fastboot cord. Hold the powerbutton down on the KIndle for 20 seconds until the Kindle powers off? Plug the fastboot cord into a USB port and then into the Kindle. The Kindle should power on and show fastboot on the screen. Is this what it does?
Edit: Or are you using a first generation Kindle and posting in a Kindle Fire HD 7 thread?

[Q] Bricked my Kindle Fire HD 2013 KFSOWI

Hi Folks!
I think i made a big mistake.
I used Kindle Fire First Aide on my device and now I'm stuck in Fastboot mode.
From what i read now, i used the wrong Version (Option "Completely Restore the KFHD 7 7.2.3") wich is for older Kindles.
I looked for the Stock Images for this Model, but couldn't find them....
Is there a way to fix it or do i have to contact Amazon?
Can Amazaon reconstruct my mistake and avoid the warranty?
Thank's l lot for guiding a prat....

That method should work. It flashes a small system image with some stuff removed i think, then it pushes a update onto the device that then updates it to a full os. Should work like it did on the other devices it was tested on, i'm assuming that utility should also flash the correct bootimg and recovery as well. Without the right bootimg it wouldn't probably bootup enough for the procedure to finish.
