Hi guys,
I was thinking of rooting my phone and installing some new roms on it now that CM is out but I have an OB White version (thats the official name) and I want someone to confirm whether its the same as the original OB and will allow me to change the OS just like the original?
Also - its v10b - is there anything I should not be doing with this version?

Yeah, I think that yours has the same as the original Optimus Black version so you can root, and install roms just like the Black version.

My lg p990 in was running in only blank screen, I connect Lg OSP and view my phone desktop in OSP , then i run my phone via Osp, its work perfect,, i will update to 2.3.4 (V20L) from 2.2.2 (v10f froyo) then problem was continue,, i cant find the solution kindly help me

I think you've diagnosed the problem quite well yourself. As you say: "Your screen is not working."
So apart from prying the phone open and check for loose connections (which I would not advise) you should have it serviced/replaced.
Thanks for u r suggestion .., i try to that.., now display is working but.., phone was hanging (Freeze).. i try factory reset than problem continue.., may i thing my updating was wrong.., kindly tell me what Rom was official lg launching., i used before v10f in India.., now v10l custom Rom., kindly inform me

There's also 10e for India there. Try to flash the latest for Europe (V20L), and if it doesn't work you can go back to 10e.

CM7.1 is a fine ROM. Download the latest version from here http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=p990, there are some known problems with the official 7.1 release.

i install v20l eur version via smart flash its working fine in past more then 15 days, but now still same problem came on phone working perfectly, but screen was only black.., still i remove the screen carbon strip and again insert but screen not working.., i cant understand what's problem that, its software or hardware problem
Can you see lg logo when booting or recovery menu? If yes then i think its not hw fault.

no... i cant see the lg logos .. display back led light only blinking ., and then touch was work then i connect the LG OSP,, phone was working perfect but screen not displaying..,
So its hw related.

hw problem means ( lcd display was problem or mother board????)
I would guess its lcd flex cable.

Dear community,
I know there are a couple of threads about this topic. But these are all old and non seems to cover my question:
how can I have the stock LG Keyboard with wprking vibration on CM7 / 9?
I know that there are some ZIPs floating around the forum to flash it onto CM7, but vibration does not work with these.
However the CM7 Rom Hybrid Revolutions from Gueste seems to have it running with vibration. Sadly the Rom is not updated anymore.
Is there a way I can get the fully working LG keyboard outa this Rom into any CM7? What steps would I have to perform?

Hi mate i'm sorry but i think there are no zip to apply the key vibration right now...I hope i'm not right but, i don't think so :S
This one is for P500 but worked here with vibration.

Hi,
Firstly apologizes if we have similar thread here but frankly i couldnt find it, so i flashed custom roms on my Lg optimus 2x p990, cm7.2 and few others but the problem is the bottom 4 buttons dont work , that is the home, options, search and back keys.
Any help would be appreciated since i really wana shift from stock rom to CM7.2

I am from India and a newbie to Android world.
I have a LG stock ROM(optimus 2x p990 Gingerbread). The factory version of the ROM is LGP990AT-00-V20e-ESA-XXX-OCT-28-2011.
The baseband is 1035.21_20110725
After taking a backup of image of Stock ROM with CWM,I have installed Gueste 2x v3.6 Hybrid Revolution, with symbiosis kernel.I have found it to be stable with good GUI
I have observed a heavy battery drain, with RIL v10d(Europe)
I am planning to flash 218 baseband as suggested by stefan.
But before doing so, I want to clear my doubts and have few requests
1) what are the best settings for a good battery life? I am switching to 2g networks when not surfing/downloading.
I am also using lots of apps, for my kid, who uses my mobile for a hour or so.
2)In case I need to go to Stock LG ROM, where can I get the original baseband, as I do not find it it anywhere, so as to to restore the CWM backup.
3) Stefan- Your ROM is wonderful. I have got few requests.Can you please port the stock LG Messaging app, Contacts app & "Backup & Restore" app .

I am also from India.
I am using 0725 Baseband with v20d(Asia) RIL.
I dont have any battery problems whatsoever on this baseband and RIL combo. I get a straight 1 and half day on moderate usage (Few call and texting, 2g browsing for an hour or so, some music listening)
Battery drain wont be always due to baseband. It may also depend on some of the Apps you use which run in background.
Check the battery usage from the settings and see which program is using most of your battery.

I am sure that the battery drain was due to wrong bb (725) and RIL(v10d Europe).
As I am unable to get the LGP990AT-00-V20e-ESA-XXX-OCT-28 version of KDZ, I had posted the mail here, hoping that some one may help me.
Anyway this is not required now.
Also since this was my first post, I couldn't thank Stefan for his superb ROM( Gueste 2x v3.6 Hybrid Revolution )

Also I do a search properly, hoping to find a solution. Hence till date for the past one month, I was able to flash CWM, 5 different ROMs and come to a satisfactory solution for the issues faced.
