Hi, i am stuck with this phone on WP7.1, the matter is that i need to change the ROM because T-Mobile ROM does not have this language.
I have read the tutorials how to downgrade the SPL and ROM form asnar and by goldcard method, but none of them are working, i have made everything as the tutorial say here in forum but i can not downgrade this device.
Every time i try by goldcard method after booting into usb host mode(volume down + camera + power) i get the screen loading...
After this the phone goes it a reboot loop and keeps showing usb host mode, then loading... screen and then reboot again
This are the details of my HD7:
OS : 7.10.8107.79
FW : 2250.21.51202.531
Radio : 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Bootloader : 5.12.2250.0 (135916)
I have tried to flash with this files :
RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_5.10.401.04_SLSPL_Signed_by_ansar
RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_1.18.531.01_Radio_5.51.09.11a_22.31.50.09_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_3.01.531.02_Radio_5.65.09.25a_22.45.50.21_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.69.401.01_Radio_5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
But i keep on the reboot loop
Hope you can help me to solve this matter
Thanks in advance

When the device goes to "Loading" and then gets stuck in a boot loop, that means that is started to read the file but then failed.
The most common cause of this are -
1. The SD card reader. Try a different card reader. Make sure that it's not a multi card reader as these seem to have the most problems.
I tried 3 different card readers before my flash/downgrade was successful and have heard of others trying 5 or more different card readers before it worked.
2. If the SD card reader uses a USB cable (like a standard PC printer USB cable) try a different USB cable to connect from the SD card reader to the Y cable.
3. Try switching around the connections on the Y cable between the SD card reader and the phone.
4. Sometimes the camera button will get stuck pushed in when entering USB host mode and prevent the device from flashing.
Try the above and see if it will work for you... I'm pretty sure it's the SD card reader though.
Since it's a T-Mobile device I would also recommend using a T-Mobile Pre-NoDo/NoDo rom to avoid any errors and if you need to return to stock for any reason you have it.
This is a good rom to use, I used it to downgrade my device and the 5.65 radio that is included with it, seems to have better reception and battery life..at least for my device.

Don't forget to use a 1GB sdcard because 2GB gives some problems with the goldcard method...
I have a TMobile like yours and the goldcard made it possible.

Hello,
Everything's been peachy on my G1 for quite some time. I'm rooted running Super D's latest normal ROM. My phone died the other night while I was out. Next morning I booted my phone up and everything was gone. I used app's to SD so there was nothing on my phone, and the error message "SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem". I've searched, yes searched here, google, and elsewhere. I've tried reformatting my SD cards in FAT32 again nothing worked. Every SD card I put in the phone it says the same thing. Factory Data Reset it and everything. My card reader reads every SD I put into my phone.
Is there a fix? What I've been trying to do is flash a different zip onto my phone directly though USB in recovery to see if that's the problem and no success even getting one flashed on.
Thanks for your help!
Forum post I've searched:

and much more........
Edit:
Tested all of my SD cards that weren't working in my G1 on my brothers G1 and everything works perfectly fine? Could it be my ROM?
Anyone? I've tried about everything I could possibly think of. Does anyone know how to flash a zip without an sd card present?
I think your SD Card is corrupted, somehow.
What recovery do you have?
What OS do you have, (it would make things easier if you had linux, or could use a ubuntu live disk).
If you can use ubuntu, with a card reader see if you can recover any files at first.
Then use gparted to re-make the partitions on your sd card.
I've got W7U. In my recovery screen it says Build: RA-dream-v1.5.2. My SD Cards read perfectly fine with a card reader and in another G1. So its def. something with my phone or the ROM.

I'm trying brush official rom
Hi all. I just got a new X1 a few days ago. Pretty happy to have it, however, I'm having chronic problems flashing a rom on it using the micro SD method. I have a PNY Micro SD card, and after hard spl-ling my phone, I put a rom on the micro SD card in the root, renamed it to KOVSIMG.nbh, powered the phone off. Removed the battery and micro SD, reinserted everything, and when I powered it back up, I got the tri-colored screen, then it said no image file. For some reason, this PNY card isn't being recognized by my computer, so I can't reformat it with my computer. Can somebody please either tell me how to format the card on my X1 or direct me to the most current and reliable USB method thread please. Thanks.
[A] Micro SD Flashing method won't work
Hi x1-pc7,
try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787867
In Summary,
try to copy all your microsd contents somewhere else temporarily. e.g. your pc desk top
FORMAT you SD card as FAT or FAT32.
try the micro SD method.
sorry, i mis-read your post, you knew all that above...
To format your sd micro card, you would need a card reader to format your sd card.
card reader that handles the microsd, or put the micro sd into a sd card adapter, usually provided with the microsd card, and put this into a sd card reader.
Hope this helps!!
Have a Happy New Year!!

Listen. I said that my micro SD does not get recognized by my computer. I have an adapter, but my computer won't recognize it. Read the whole post, and please show me where it talks about how to use the USB method to flash because the micro SD method will absolutely not work for me.
Thanks.
Happy New Year to you too.
usb method is simple
just turn device off.push the volume bottom in(& keep it in) then push power & keep both in until bootloader screen appears.then connect to usb.run Xperia Software Upgrade...Done!

You could try to change your USB to PC setting to "Disk Drive" (Start » Settings » Connections). This way your phone will only show your microSD card instead of both internal memory and SD contents.
See if that enables you to format your SD card.

Not even without the X1, i.e. when using only your adapter?
Sounds like either the card or the adapter is broken - any chance to cross-check with another card/another PC?
Make sure your adapter can handle the card: (µ)SDHC cannot be read by older (µ)SD adapters....

Are you trying to flash your phone? If you do, have you copy the new ROM to the SD card? (in root, not in any folder) And rename the ROM to "KOVSimg.nbh"
Then the boot loader mode will detect the ROM and show instructions.
However, if you're not trying to flash your phone, you don't need to enter the boot loader mode. Just do battery pull, and start your phone normally.
not dev related, therefore moved to q&a
i already have x1 when it is released, now i moved to htc hd7, i read a thread regarding to how to create a gold card, so i was trying to generate the sd cid using my x1. the proplems are:
1- i am unable to charge the phone when the sd card connected.
2- i am unable to sync with my pc either with sd or without.
3- i am unable to format the sd using resco i got a message that the sd might be protected while it is not.
4- i am unable to hard spl my device and it is stuck in 0% and i get error 262
5- i try different generic rom's with no luck.
for ur info i use 2 different sd cards while it is working fine when it is connected to my pc. Also, i try 3 different pc's.

sorry for my english :S
Downgrade bootloader, install custom ROM.
Follow instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597837
Does this work for HTC HD7?
Hi,
The above commetn says downgrade bootloader.. my HD7 doesnt have SD card slot. does it still unlock my phone if I follow the instructons.. n what abt SD card.??
Sorry but...
IDIOT!!!
You didn't read the tutorial enough, the SD card or micro sd if for the Y-Cable.
You place the ROM in the card, put the card in the reader, then put the reader in the cable.
just remember the card must be converted into a gold card.
then you can proceed to flash.
Important note: for better results use a 1GB card, I tried several times with a 2GB and it was a fiasco(it never started), once I used the 1GB card, BOOM! flashed in less that 5 minutes.
why do u need Y usb cable?

You still don't get it don't you? Read the tutorial
Hello everybody,
I'm trying to get a new microSD card (8 GB class 10 microSD HC from Kingston) to work with my GT-I9000 (Custom ROM Mackay CM9 2014 1.7; freshly installed from stock GB). The card doesn't seem to get recognized and is not usable.
In storage settings there's an option to mount an SD card. When I press it, it says 'preparing SD card', after which nothing happens. In WRTP the card is also not recognized. Another SD card (2GB class 4), however, works flawlessly with the current setup.
When connected with my PC via a USB adapter, the 8GB card is recognized and usable without any problems.
I already repartitioned and formatted (FAT32) the card multiple times using Minitool Partition Wizard and Windows 7's formatting tool, as well as SDFormatter.
Does anybody know what might cause this problem? What else can I try to get this card to work??
Thanks in advance.
Simple Fix for this. Keep in mind that smart phones are
computers and the SD cards are physical memmory and
like hard drives, they require regular maintenance.
First take the SD cad out of the phone.
You will then need to insert it into a PC of some sort. I
had to go out and buy an adapter to insert it in the SD
slot on my laptop. You can usually find a cheap adapter
in any store that sells digital camera supplies. I found
one at Walgreens for $8 with a 2MB micro SD.
Third step (Optional). Copy all the data from the card
into a folder on the PC in order to back up your data.
Fourth Step run a scandisck on the card. In windows
Right click the drive then choose "Properties". Click the
"Tools" Tab and you will find an Error correction section.
Run the error correct and make sure you choose the
"Automatically fix file system errors". This should take
just a couple momments to run. DO NOT CHOOSE THE
BAD SECTOR OPTIONS AS THIS WILL TAKE FOREVER TO
RUN.
Once this is complete. Remove the card from your PC
insert back into the phone and boot up. You should be
all fixed.

Thank you for your reply.
I did what you told (plugged the card into my pc with an adapter and ran scandisk, which ran successfully without finding any errors), but the card is still not used by my phone.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion. I deleted fsck_msdos, rebooted and tried to mount the card a couple of times, but sadly the problem persists.
