I have scoured the internet looking for cupcake source code, and have found only this: http://netmite.com/android/mydroid/1.5/
I would download from there, but it seems a little immoral to overload their servers like that without permission. And they are not responding to my email asking for permission.
If anyone has cupcake source, would you mind uploading it somewhere? If necessary, I can give you temporary access to my dropbox. That is, if you can tell me why I should trust you
My last alternative is to slowly download from the netmite site, in order to not put unnecessary load on their servers As in, download it file by file
As soon as I get the source, I will (attempt) to upload it to github. Honestly, I prefer googlecode with SVN, and will probably see if it will fit the quota there. Then this thread will be converted into a reference for where to download cupcake source

I'm not sure if it is identical to the exact AOSP branch you are looking for, but did you try Codeaurora? Looks like there's cupcake in there.

Thank you very much. At a quick glance, this looks good
Now hopefully they aren't simple referencing to android.kernel.org, which is long gone.
I may or may not be able to try this until Thursday. Tomorrow and Wednesday I have finals at school.

I knew it was too good to be true
Code:
android.git.kernel.org[0: 149.20.4.77]: errno=Connection refused
xD
Anything else?
Its not a branch at aosp? The code is in there, you just have to talk it into letting you have it (find the branch name, fix all the references to kernel.org, find missing stuff)

There are many references to kernel.org, and I haven't found the code elsewhere.
Looking at aosp gitweb, cupcake is non-existent.
I think Google lost cupcake with kernel.org, and started up the new git from donut.
But I don't know...

Hey thanks
Did you have a look at BoardConfig.mk, there are a bunch of defines that are relevant to the gfx (or lack thereof). Maybe we could track within cm-7.0.3 where those defines are used. In addition I've PM'd arco on this very subject, hoping he replies soon.
will try it now, post later

I'm looking for a better ROM for my mom's Wildfire, being an Oxygen user myself I'm convinced an AOSP ROM is the way forward.. Video recording is no problem, so this looks like the perfect solution.
But I'm a bit confused, what exactly does this mean? What about it doesn't work...?

No problem. I made a new build based on GRW74, could you give it a try? (btw, I'm afraid it still have the camcorder problem).
I read a certain thread last night from beginning to end both had good points from both sides that made me think a little bit and i thought i would put this list of apk files together real quick hoping it might help some people out there.
I take no credit for any of these what so ever! it is just a list of apk files I have gathered from my learning and flashing of my own personal phone.
thank you to all the devs out there for putting together all the roms, themes, hacks, tweaks, fixes and all that you do! I greatly appreciate all of you and all of your work! and dealing with people like me (junior member) and our noob questions.
Disclaimer: I am in no way responsible for anything that goes wrong with your phone from flashing these. I am not responsible for what you choose to do with your phone.
Well with all that said here is the list:
(seems i can only upload so much at one time so this is broke up into several posts)
more apks......

more!!!!!!!!!!
ive done a lot of flsshing as you can see

isnt SetCPU 2.24 a paid app..
SetCPU
as for the rest of the apps wouldnt it be easier to have bundled them all together in a zip folder and have users download from megaupload or other fileshare websites.
EDIT*
But you can download 2.24 setCPU on that link from the developer?
im confused..
The dev gave it away for free to any one who bothered to look on xda first so it should be okay unless he specially said were not allowed to distribute on xda

are these all themed or something? seems that quite a few are already readily available in the market.
are these all themed or something? seems that quite a few are already readily available in the market.
They r not themed, in op this is just what I've collected over some time and thought I would share it with all of xda, there is just about every stock apk that comes with the epic out of the box. in case for example someone flashes a rom and wants the stock "feedsnupdates widget" back after flashing now they can get it easily. I thought this might help some devs out there not to have to answer some questions repeatedly in a rom thread. The others I just had so posted all of them. If u don't need/want any of these don't download it, should u ever though beause u flashed a rom and want something that wasn't included it in then u might find it here.

well i don't know what am i supposed to do with it. some people just forwarded me with this link, i have downloaded that "opensource" for samsung galaxy camera. there are two folders in it- kernel and platform. i dont know how to use it, where to open it, what is it, or even what is it used for. maybe i ll look stupid now but its like Japanese to me.
my task is to work in eclipse with opencv, to change camera display buttons(to make interactive slider for every option, like iso sensitivity ect) and make them work with inside of the camera. try to optimize it, simplify it. so i hoped someone can tell me what do i have to do, exactly. with this downloaded folders. i have no experience, but i have time to learn. or even better, what do i do, in general?
thank you so much for your interest in answering, i am drowning here.

The opensource archives contain the kernel source, search Linux kernel on Google for more information.
But what you want to do is to modify the camera app, and that isn't kernel related.
To do this, I assume that the Galaxy Camera is like all androphone, you have to get the device ROM, get the camera app, decompile it, and make your modification.
Or you can look inside the platform folder, it contains some prebuilt binaries that could help you, but I don't know what exactly is inside. And I'm not sure that it can help you for what you have to do

And to help me more can you point me to the discussion where they told you to dl the opensource archive?

Yes, your new link works.
Installed it at work so I can't really play with it yet but there is a weird little headphone and chrome something icon with a line through it at the bottom left of the main screen that doesn't do anything. I probably need to be on the same network and the app to see my chromecast for whatever that is to do something but just thought I'd mention it.
Suggestions:
1) Add a check on app start to notify if it can't find the chromecast on the network
2) Ask to enable wifi for same reason as #1
3) Add Widget(s) for the app (Granted I haven't used the app to it's full potential yet to determine what the widget could/should have)

Don't know about other, but I can tell you one thing : Google released all the stuff a developer could need to develop apps for it and there's no limitation to publish what they want. Here's the catch though, their API is somehow limited for clients and are meant for services like Netflix or Hulu to implement their own media player remote. Sending content to the Chromecast is a very different thing (and is potentially the most interesting). Koush wrote a few things about it on his Google+ page, I recommend checking it out as well as his workaround.

I'm strongly considering it but not immediately. There's a lot of changes going on in the codebase still and a little bit of house cleaning before I can start thinking of releasing it. Maybe in a couple months from now. If you need to look at some chromecast code, samples do pretty much the same =)
